It was nearly exactly what I expected from these teams but Liverpool failed among them. I was never expecting such poor performance from Liverpool about finishing.

They literally dominated the whole game. Their xG was 2.66 just can you imagine that? Grin

They should have been able to score a couple of goals and get a comfortable win. It seems like Manchester United were really on their lucky day. Normally their defending isn't reliable at all. But somehow they managed to resist Liverpool from the beginning to the end.

Pep Guardiola must be able to solve this problem of inconsistency quickly if he still wants to maintain his title dominance for four consecutive seasons, but honestly I don't expect Manchester City to continue doing this every season. Liverpool and Arsenal must be able to take advantage of Manchester City's current situation, meaning they must be able to gain lots of points to stay ahead of Manchester City.

I was thinking about the game between Manchester United vs Liverpool, I can't see anything exciting in that game and I was expecting a massive demolition on Man UTD but it was as if the Liverpool side wasn't up to the task to get the job done.
With the way Liverpool played today I don't see them as title contenders but a team that's just playing to make the top 4.
I would give a thumbs up to Manchester United because despite the injuries and shortage of players they still got a point in that fixture, and I just wish this would give them a morela booster to get all 3 point in their next game.

Imo, Man Utd showed some class today against Liverpool compared to their 0-3 defeat at home to Bournemouth last week. Coming into this match, Ten Hag knew that his team has a shortage of quality compared to Liverpool. As a matter of fact, Bookies thought Liverpool will run this over with a strong win (1.3+ odds) while draw at 6+ odds and man utd to win at 8+ odds. What this means is that Liverpool was supposed to win effortlessly.

Recall that Man Utd has 12+ players either on suspension or injured yet they were able to hold off a Liverpool team that has looked unstoppable in recent games.

This was a fine performance from Man Utd and they did have some good chances here and there like that Hojlund encounter with Alisson Becker.

I think a lot of bad luck was on Liverpool tonight and more specifically on Alexander Arnold which had at least 3 goals opportunities in the second half which he should have at least converted once.Manchester United has done what they needed to do to get at least one point from this game considering that they come after so much bad results recently and this for them can be considered a good result.

Of course the bookies have gone somewhat wrong with the odds,despite Liverpool being the favorite in this game you cannot give to any team 1.30 odds when playing against Manchester United at home no matter who they are just for the history that Manchester United has.

Both teams had difficulties in netting the post because united also missed three good opportunities. Liverpool was in a better position of winning today's match because they are stronger than united this season but united didn't allow Liverpool to take advantage of their weakness and they made their defence very strong that Liverpool couldn't use their chances wisley because most of their shots was blocked.

Aston Villa is an important team and I think their biggest chance is Unai Emery. He is a very experienced coach and one of the coaches who knows best what to do where and how to play which players. There were doubts about winning because Arsenal were unable to score a single goal in the first half, but in the second half a glimmer of hope began to emerge and the opening goal was scored by Gabriel Jesus in the 55th minute and closed with a goal scored by Kai Havertz at the end of the match. Actually, Brighton played quite well because they managed to withstand every attack from Arsenal, but it looks like they couldn't last much longer because Arsenal really needed points to catch up with Liverpool. Well, the Liverpool vs Manchester United match ended in a goalless draw so Arsenal managed to occupy the top position this week and only had a 1 point difference from Liverpool.

LOL... your expectations was actually the expectation of many people and especially the media as they have made the story trend by reminding us the matter at Which Jose Mou was sacked after he lost to Liverpool. So, it was such a mentality and news that we all had in mind to watch the Manchester United and Liverpool match and in the end Manchester United disappointed many people and I am sure that quiet a good number of people also lost bet in this very match. It is a lesson to us that in football everything is possible.

Jurgen Klopp dissapointed and Erik Ten Hag prosper, his defensive strategy do actually works and they have the best defendlines that could label them to be infront against Liverpool. I think a lot of bad luck was on Liverpool tonight and more specifically on Alexander Arnold which had at least 3 goals opportunities in the second half which he should have at least converted once.Manchester United has done what they needed to do to get at least one point from this game considering that they come after so much bad results recently and this for them can be considered a good result.

Of course the bookies have gone somewhat wrong with the odds,despite Liverpool being the favorite in this game you cannot give to any team 1.30 odds when playing against Manchester United at home no matter who they are just for the history that Manchester United has.

Both teams had difficulties in netting the post because united also missed three good opportunities.
