The season is nearly over for Chelsea and there is no hope for them to take a better place in the league this season, Chelsea lost points against the teams they should normally win without a problem, and the three remaining games for Chelsea are almost the hardest games because they have to face Manchester City, Macnshter United, and Newcastle while all these teams had good performance recently.

The battle for the Champions League spots is heating up. Newcastle missed their chance to widen the gap with Man United, leaving both teams vulnerable to Liverpool, who could potentially steal a spot in the league.

Newcastle's remaining fixtures are against Brighton, Leicester, and Chelsea, while Man United will face Bournemouth, Chelsea, and Fulham. Meanwhile, Liverpool's last games are against Leicester, Aston Villa, and Southampton.

All three teams have a great chance of winning all their remaining matches. If predictions hold true, they will each secure nine points, which would leave Liverpool out of the Champions League race.

Now with conditions like this I don't even think Chelsea is a tough opponent and instead Chlesea should be worried because they will face Manchester City, Newcastle and Manchester United now.
Btw talking about Chelsea they were again held to a draw by Nottingham Forrest which made their momentum disappear again.

Yes, both Man United and Newcastle have the same points now. They also still have 1 tough match, against Chelsea. But I think both Man United and Newcastle seem to beat Chelsea, Chelsea performs unconvincingly. So, I assume both will maintain their position in the top 4 until the end of this season. For Liverpool, it seems a bit difficult to overtake Man United or Newcastle, there are 4 point difference. Even if Liverpool wins against Leicester City, it won't impact anything if Man United and Newcastle keep winning the next matches.

It was the first game of the goalkeeper of Wolves, wasn't it? He played really great considering that. He has been long gone but I still remember the United with Cristiano Ronaldo. ManU is much much better than how they were with Ronaldo. Their position in the league might not be great but it could be much worse. There is one big problem with ManU in my opinion. They are extremely selfish. It's very frustrating to watch their empty shots and the fact that they can pass but still don't. They especially never pass to Weghorst. But overall, there is a big improvement from the earlier of the season and United can be successful in the remaining of the season and champions league next season.

Leeds tried very well this time. But on the other hand, unfortunately, Newcastle suffered a draw against Leeds United. Even Leeds United took the lead in the 7th minute. The dominance of the Newcastle match has not been able to make them win by scoring more goals. So that the current position, the points between Newcastle and Man United are the same, 66. Because Man United won 2 - 0 over Wolves 2 - 0.

Southampton really tried to stay in the English Premier League for 11yrs, equalling 10 seasons. It is not easy to last that long in Premier league without signing high profile players. But it is really a pity because the battle to return to the English Premier League is more severe than the one to avoid being relegated.

Leicester City are closer to being relegated than being retained and they have the worse fixtures than the others fighting for relegation. It will be a shame that Liecester will be relegated even with having world class players in their team. They are lucky they won the English Premier League title before relegating.

Manchester United did play well and got a well deserved win. The match stats shows Manchester United had less of the ball in their possession. I think that also shows how well they played and utilized their chances whenever they had the ball in their possession. And I agree, they did dominate the game. Having 27 attempts, it was a shame they could only get 9 on target else they probably could have scored more goals. The important thing was the win and that, they did get.
I think the Wolves goalie was pretty active and did a good job in keeping out some good attempts.

Last season Leeds and Everton managed to avoid the relegation zone in a very dramatic way. Last season Leeds was ranked 17th and Everton was ranked 16th. These two teams even have almost the same points and are only 1 point different.

Everton may be able to escape from the relegation zone again like last season. But it looks like Leeds will have more trouble this season. Because there are only 2 matches left and of course if Everton and Nottingham no longer lose in the remaining matches then it is certain that Leeds and Leicester will be relegated.

I wouldn't be surprised if Leeds were relegated because even last season Leeds were almost relegated. But to be honest I really didn't expect Leicester to be in the relegation zone this season. Because in the past few seasons Leicester have actually performed quite well and have always been able to compete in the top 10 ranking area. sometimes even close to the top 5. but this season is the worst season for Leicester City.

Both Leeds and Nottingham Forest can very pleased with their results, when you are either of those two teams and you win a point in a game against Chelsea or Newcastle, you would think that you have some advantage over your opponents also trying to get away from relegation zone. That both teams played against top teams (Chelsea should be one, but isn't these days) and a point was won by both of them is quite telling what's going on right now. Newcastle is going astray again and Chelsea is doing what they have been doing the whole season. Manchester United is a winner this weekend because that was an important one right now after losing two in a row.

This season I would say they haven't been that good but last season they really played well under Ralph Hasenhüttl. They have some good players and some with potential which I am sure would look for new club now. It's really tough after getting relegated as its hard to keep the players the clubs want to keep and also convince good players into club participating in championship now.



I think it's 10 years and not 11 but anyway they are relegated after a decade which shows how bad were this season. I already had predicted them to getting relegated as Fulham are tough team and it's not easy for even top teams to score against them. Likes of players like Harry Wilson, Mitrovic, Willian, Pereira can really give opponents a hard time. It will be a tough time for Saints' board to plan things now. Championship is also very tough with 24 teams competing to get back into PL.

Southamton have already been relegated with 2 games remaining so that won't save them even if they still win in the next match, we know that Southampton have a well known sponsor on this forum namely Sportsbet but they won't be seen again in the Premier League next season.
Only 6 wins, the rest lose more because this team cannot compete more tightly with other teams.

Well Leicester and Leeds will be very close to relegation of course with Everton still having hope for it, last season was also very close to the relegation zone but managed to survive but is it possible this season will last again for Everton in a dramatic way again?

Southampton have tried their best in every game they have played but they have not been able to show their best strength because the other team strength is stronger than them. after this passed from time to time and in the end Southampton became the first team to go down to the caste to the championship league this season. We may see two other teams follow in Southampton footsteps for the remainder of the season. I even see that Leicester City and Leeds have a point difference of 1 point but Leicester have the opportunity to shift Leeds ranking if they are able to win the next match.

Sincerely, i am not surprised as well as, I feel there is nothing to be shameful about, after all, a club has to be relegated, and it just happens to be Southampton at this time, if it wasn't them, it would have been another club, so I believe this will help them to work harder next season, and if getting more and better players is what they need, this will help them take that bold step next season.

Because one thing I believe in is that, in a game of strength and skill, one that is weaker in strength and less in skill will always bow, not matter how long they managed to endure the pressure, Southampton need more strong and skillful players to scale.
