Markus Rashford is just a striker who is far from consistent, he can be very sharp but can play worse than fans ever think, unfortunately, Manchester United has a very high dependence on him so that when he experiences difficulties with his game it will affect the team and end up losing, and that's what has happened since the start of the season until now, quite bad with 7 matches only managed to score 1 goal, 1 assist, and 1 yellow card, but it doesn't rule out the possibility that he suddenly improves and continues to score goals in many matches after that declines again.
Because Manchester United from Ole Gunar Solskjaer to Ten Hag, used Marcus Rashford not appropriately. He is not a striker but they tried to use him at a striker position with hope that he can play well there.
It's explainable why Rashford can not play consistently well at a striker position that is not his favorite position. He is a
Left winger according to transfermarkt.com and we all know it is his main and most favorite position. So if Manchester United highly depend on Marcus Rashford even at his unfavorite position, it is the club problem, not the player.
That's true and Manchester United couldn't do much because of the limited number of players they had, it was clear when Manchester United were 1 goal behind but Ten Hag didn't have many replacements for their attack line which was starting to get confused about penetrating Crystal Palace's defense and this was really the result. which is quite bad for Manchester United, especially for the confidence of Ten Hag's team.
I don't see the Manchester United team being able to recover any better if many of their players are injured in the near future, this is really a pretty sad start to the season for Ten Hag.
Please don't try to explain their failures and reduce severity of their failure. Spending a lot of money for transfer recent years and still blame on limited player resource, can not play well because of player quality. Is it responsible for their club owner, director, sport leader and generally their bad development, transfer strategies?
The best thing they can do is admit their failures and analyze it thoroughly to improve their strategies. Try to avoid, wipe out responsibility is not good way to move on and to improve their club.
Think why they let De Gea leaving their club and spent big transfer fee for Onana when they can use the same money to buy good central defender to improve their defense more?
