But then after the yesterday Carabao cup Manchester United played against Crystal palace that they won convincingly, it shows that Manchester United might be back in track.
Manchester United played well in their match against Crystal Palace, but just because Manchester United won Crystal Palace yesterday in the Carabao Cup does not mean they are back in form. I know they played well and were able to win comfortably in the match, but let’s see how they are going to play against the same Crystal Palace in their next Premier League match.  If Manchester United can win five consecutive matches conveniently, then I can say they are back to form, but winning a match in the Carabao Cup can’t be used to determine if a club is back to form yet. Most clubs don’t focus on the Carabao Cup, so they don’t use their main squad when playing.

Even so, Newcastle still played well and I admit that they deserved to win that match, Manchester City after this defeat maybe they will focus more on maintaining the club's performance in the more important league and I'm sure Guardiola doesn't have big goals in this championship and give victory to Newcastle.
I could not watch Newcastle game because of the Chelsea game going on at around same time. I heard the news that Manchester City lost to Newcastle, maybe it was planned by the Manchester City coach not to stress the players for the very busy season and also so none of his key players get injured in this season where many players are getting injured, but at least they lost, which shows that they are very beatable if only other teams will work extra harder.
Pep Guardiola doesn't seem to prioritize winning in this match. Although of course he also doesn't expect to lose. But from the strategy used, I see that the Man City players are not really encouraged to make as many attacks as usual. But I'm not saying the players aren't serious. Of course everyone played seriously and with good performance. It's just that the motivation to win the EFL Cup doesn't seem to be that big for the Man City squad. But still I bet on Man City in that match and their defeat made me a little disappointed.

In other matches, I also favor Brighton. But it turned out that Chelsea could beat Brighton in that match. Maybe me was unlucky in predicting matches in the EFL Cup.

Their star player Kaoru Mitoma is more goal productive than in the past season when he experienced his first season in Premier League. Mitoma looks like not a player who only can play well in one season and he has proved his good adaptation to Premier League in his second season there. Some players like the Spanish striker Michu only can shined in one season and disappeared in Premier League later.

Mitoma is no longer too young but he can somewhat achieve success like Son Heung Min in Premier League. If he stays here in some more season, will he become a second Asian player who can wear the captain armband for a Premier League club, after Son Heung Min.

The temporary ranking of Brighton in Premier League is a big shock and they are a surprising underdog in this season even they already shown their ability in the past season. Last season, in Serie A, Napoli won Scudetto, this season will Brighton make it in Premier League?
Mitoma is a shining player with Brighton, the left-wing midfielder is always dribbling the ball nicely able to pass several opponents, I don't know if he will stay with his team now or be sold, because other big clubs have seen Mitoma's great potential, Brighton also always makes a lot of money with the sale of its players.

Maybe early in the season Brighton is still quite ecstatic to be in the top 4 but sometimes this will be difficult to last, usually temporary underdogs who do not maintain their position as well as possible in the league.

We know now Brighton is in a good squad that can win continuously.
Certainly, Kaoru Mitoma is currently on the radar of several top European teams and maybe it's just a matter of time until he gets a big deal. I think Brighton produces talented players, but sometimes after leaving, some of their players fail to maintain their performance. Even though Brighton will have to release Kaoru Mitoma, of course they will put a very expensive price tag on them and again, the only good financial team is an EPL team. So I don't think Kaoru Mitoma will be far away from England and considering that his potential with Brighton is still very much needed to compete in the top 4, it is likely that he will think about his future after the season ends. Maybe staying is not a bad option but of course the decision remains in the hands of the club and the player.

Guardiola thought the opposition was weak. Or he didn't take this match seriously. He made the second row squad against Newcastle. Haaland was not in the squad. Also three very important players like Rodri, Silva and De Bruyne were absent from Manchester City due to injuries. And this opportunity has been used very well by Newcastle coach Eddie Howe. Guardiola should have been careful before building his squad against Eddie Howe.

Newcastle played very well in this match. The team lost points in several matches at the beginning of the Premier League. But Eddie Howe is slowly solving the problems within the squad. We have seen excellent performances from the team in each of Newcastle's last four matches. The players will be more confident after a win against a team like Manchester City. I think we will get a better performance than Newcastle in the upcoming matches.
I think Guardiola doesn't think his opponent is weak and Newcastle deserved to win against Manchester City, I just think Guardiola doesn't want the Carabao championship, so he didn't play Haaland in yesterday's match, I think Guardiola is more focused on the big EPL and UCL championships so he maintains stamina players to remain good to face their opponents and I think Manchester City don't play too seriously.

Even so, Newcastle still played well and I admit that they deserved to win that match, Manchester City after this defeat maybe they will focus more on maintaining the club's performance in the more important league and I'm sure Guardiola doesn't have big goals in this championship and give victory to Newcastle.

Alexander Isak's goal proved crucial as it led to Manchester City's exit from the EFL Cup. It raises questions about Manchester City's performance without Haaland. Maybe Guardiola doesn't prioritize the Carabao championship as he's achieved a treble with the top trophies before. His focus might be more on the EPL and UCL championships. However, every manager want to win cups, and Newcastle's win shows they are a competitive team, not to be underestimated.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton and Fulham also got a win respectively to advance to the next round of the Carabao cup. While the biggest news of the night is Newcastle win against Manchester City!
Though I wasn't opportune to watch the match from start to finish, but Newcastle winning against Man-city last night is one of the biggest shock & least miracle anybody could ever expected to happen due to how consistent Man-City has always been an excellent club who never take chances at all times, and I'm going to blame the entire Man-City team for feeling relaxed in the second half, unlike what they played in the first half and gave room for chances,  While secondly, I'm going to blame Pep Guardiola for failing to put Eirling haland on the match from start to finish, which I'm sure only if had Haland played that match, I don't see anyhow Newcastle would have gotten such chance.
Newcastle hosted Manchester City and they played aggressively in this match. Manchester City defeat was very unfortunate. They appeared tough in several matches and it was difficult for other club to beat them even though they completely controlled the ball, but Manchester City couldn't scores at all 10x shots didn't even produce results.
Manchester City were too relaxed facing a club that they thought was not very stronger so they Newcastle took this opportunity and couldn't keep up with their the game to equalize with Newcastle victory, which succeeded in advancing to the next round and eliminating Manchester City in the English Carabao Cup.

There is a lot of tension at Manchester United. The relationship between Erik Ten Hag and Sancho is going sour everyday. I don’t even expect the coach to be tendering apology to players who are at fault and are being punished. In Sancho’s case I think it is normal, these things happen in all clubs but what differentiates them is the approach to resolve these conflict by managers. I hope Erik Ten Hag finds a way to resolve this issues and for all parties to be happy in the end.
If I'm not mistaken, someone from the club who tried to reconcile the conflict between the two asked Jadon Sancho to apologize but the player refused, and I think when a player makes a mistake but is reluctant to apologize then he will be very difficult to evaluate so that he can develop further because of him is a person who is anti-criticism.
Jadon Sancho at Manchester United is not a player who can develop well, there is nothing particularly encouraging about his game and with him no longer allowed to use all the club facilities I think it is time for his agent to find a way to terminate his player contract at Manchester United and find a new club for him can still play.

MU just need to let him go. That will solve the problem between ten hag and sancho. The club didn't even need him anymore as manchester united has martial and hojlund. Manchester united can also decrease its salary cap when he will be leaving from the club.
Sancho's performance was also being far from good. Hojlund is many times better than him. I hope manchester united will try to get rid of him very soon. It's caused by united has great replacement for him at this moment.

I don't see what was the reason to make him stay far longer in the club. Sancho can't cooperate with his coach and that's it. Selling/Terminate him from the club will become the best answer to solve the problem between ten haag and him.
MU needs only focus how to build a club with better formation to face other hard fixtures that will come soon. Sancho out please. It will make club better than when sancho stay in the club.

Brighton's performance is indeed much better than what they showed last season. The ranking they currently occupy, namely Rank 3 in the standings, is proof that Brighton has indeed made very significant improvements.

wait a minute mate, dont be too hasty in blaming the players and coaches. lets try now to think logically about Man City match against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup match. for Guardiola it is not a very important competition to pursue and if you watch the broadcast of the match you can see how relaxed Guardiola is and sits more because he thinks this match will not give something extraordinary for him and next, if you blame Haaland for not appearing in that match, is it wrong for a coach to take better care of the quality of his players performance to compete in a more important competition like the UCL? well, I just think positively that the reason Guardiola did not start Haaland in that match is the possibility that Haaland has to maintain stamina to appear stronger in bigger competitions and Haaland could appear in that match but when competing in the UCL qualifying round he was not able to. scored a goal because he was tired, would you still say you were disappointed with him?
football players are also humans who need rest so that a player cannot appear to be a starter on the field.

I think it would be better for Manchester United if ETH leaves the team and a more experienced coach joins the team. The problem that started with Ronaldo continues with other players today. It must be tactically insufficient because Manchester United cannot get what they want despite all these transfers. The problem here may be the coach.
Any coach that doesn't have good chemistry going on with his players, means he's obstructing the development of the club interms of games. Manchester United should replace Erik Ten Hag with a more experienced potential coach, because the current coach often have issues with his players specifically his frontlines om the training ground. Who knows what Jadon Sancho is passing through? Sancho deactivated his Instagram account, who knows his next move? He might as well push for a possible exits from Old Trafford in January transfer.

Talking about Garnacho, he deserves playing minutes to replace Rashford, after all he is the right young generation for Manchester United and it was also seen that after scoring a goal he celebrated like his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.

Yep. Garna is a great talent. The young lad is becoming the future player the Red ever needed.
And ETH needs to talk to Rashford to learn from this match.
Imagine if Rashford is actually in line, drops the ego, and becomes a team player like every other player in this game. United will bang more this season.
Hopefully, we can see more of a good game and playing pattern this weekend.

This is indeed a quite surprising fact if we look at the history of meetings between these two clubs. Because in the last 5 meetings between Brighton vs Aston Villa we can see that Brighton has never won once. Even last season when Brighton was in very good performance at that time. Still, Brighton continues to experience defeats both at home and away.

But in the coming week, when Brighton will face Aston Villa again, I think it is time for Brighton to break the bad results that Brighton had when facing Aston Villa. With Brighton's current performance, Brighton should be the favorite in this match. It's just that I will also understand if there will be many people betting on Aston Villa because they see their head to head plus next week's match Aston Villa will also be the host.
I would guess that Brighton could be different this season, plus Villa is different this season as well. I am guessing that it is going to be a bit different and we are going to end up with something different in the end as well. That should provide some sort of problems for them but that doesn't mean that we are not going to end up with anything that would be remarkable.

I hope that we will see a brighton win because that is who I am going to bet on, and yes they might be unlucky so far but I bet that this week will be the one where their luck will finally turn and they will get a win. They have been a pretty good team so far and that should probably go on for a while longer as well, it would really help everyone.
Brighton's performance is indeed much better than what they showed last season. The ranking they currently occupy, namely Rank 3 in the standings, is proof that Brighton has indeed made very significant improvements.
And as you said, this time it looks like things will be different. For example, last season Brighton always lost to Aston Villa. So for this season they have to make the match results different, namely by winning for Brighton.

However, the problem is that Aston Villa also seems more consistent than the consistency they showed last season. Even last season Aston Villa were able to finish consecutively below Brighton. Last season Brighton finished in 6th place and Aston Villa in 7th place. This means that since last season the difference in strength between these two clubs has not been much different. I personally still prefer Brighton. Because it would be very boring if Aston Villa won again in the match against Brighton.

I'm unsure if this discussion thread is an appropriate venue to delve into the Carabao Cup. Yesterday witnessed some truly surprising football outcomes in the matches involving Chelsea vs. Brighton and Manchester City vs. Newcastle. Aside from acknowledging Newcastle's presence in the Champions League, it seems plausible that other teams intentionally opted for early exits to alleviate the burden of participating in numerous competitions throughout the season.
After the match ended, Pep Guardiola said that their focus was just on achieving a treble winner and there was no need to target a quadruple. I think it makes sense that Pep Guardiola doesn't push too hard in EFL competitions because winning titles in major competitions such as the EPL, UCL and Supercup are much better. Moreover, Manchester City is the team that won the treble and of course Pep Guardiola wants to win these 3 titles again this season. So the defeat against Newcastle certainly won't make Manchester City sad.

Regarding Chelsea's match against Brighton, I think Chelsea are very serious in this EFL match, however they are not participating in European competitions, so it is better for them to focus their energy on being able to win and achieve this title. Brighton is also not that serious in this match because they still have a target of becoming one of the teams in the top 4 of the EPL and will also still focus on the European league group phase. So Chelsea's victory felt like entertainment when the team needed a win to be able to win again in the EPL match later.

Man Utd had a big 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace thanks to goals from Garnacho, Casemiro, and Martial. Once again, fans did not see Sancho's figure in the squad.
Certainly, Manchester United doesn't require Sancho any longer. Even if he returns, I wouldn't anticipate a return to his previous form, and there's a significant chance of him leaving. Therefore, I believe Manchester United should move on from Sancho's position and explore other high-quality alternatives.

Newcastle's victory isn't all that shocking, given that Manchester City fielded several reserve players and didn't seem too determined. However, it's undeniable that Newcastle put up a strong performance at home. What surprised me the most was Jackson's outstanding display, which helped revive Chelsea's spirits.
