I think Manchester United's biggest problem is their defence . And because of bad defense, the team lost points in most of the matches. Their attack is not too strong but good enough. But their defense is very weak.

Manchester United have conceded 14 goals in their last 5 matches . This is too much. We don't expect such poor defense from a top tier team like manchester united. If Ten Hag can only strengthen the defence, I think the whole scenario of Manchester United's performance will change. But so far United's defense has failed to strengthen Ten hag. ten Hag should have added experienced defenders to the squad this season.

Ten Hag decided to let his players to play defensive, counter attacking but the match shows Manchester United have weak defense and not too strong attacking system to exploit Bayern Munich with counter attacks. They scored three goals but during the match, they were dominated entirely by Bayern Munich and the German club even could score more goals.

Both Premier League and Champions League are important for them because a big club like them should not satisfy with only a domestic league. Playing in Champions League is challenge but also chance for them to know how good or bad they are in comparison with best clubs in Europe. They must focus in Premier League to at least end this season in top four that will help them to participate in Champions League next season.

Bayern Munich was a tough opponent for Manchester United so I don't think the players and manager should listen to the fans or the management for losing this match but I would say Manchester United played well enough in this match. Manchester United need a win at the moment as they suffer from a lack of consistency. Manchester United did not get off to a good start in the Premier League, after a disappointing performance in the Premier League and defeat in the first match of the Champions League, Manchester United is under a lot of pressure at the moment. Champions League opportunity is not lost yet for Manchester United, Manchester United must improve in the next matches but the Red Devils can dream of going to the next round.

There is no such thing as prioritizing any competition over another, they just can’t compete well because of their bad form which is why they lost the match. They have been losing in both competitions even the premier league that is their priority, they should just improve their game and compete well in all competitions because you may never know the competition that you may end up winning just as it happened to Chelsea in 2021 that they won the champions league. They struggled to qualify to the knockout stages that year and they were also losing in the premier league Luckily for them they end up winning the champions league ahead of the best teams at the time.

My point is no manager would like to over look the champions league just to win domestic league because it’s the highest achievement of all.

Obviously Manchester United needs to change their pattern of play and begin to have some winning streaks. One thing about Manchester United is that it was only one man that was being blamed before now and that man is Harry Maguire, but as it stands now Manchester United coach has his own quota of blame and Manchester United goalkeeper also has his own quota of blame. Yeah you are right, very difficult to beat Manchester City at Etihad Stadium even to get a draw quite difficult and Manchester City certainly does not want to disrupt the unbeaten record.
