On paper, Tottenham are superior to Brentford, even though Harry Kane is no longer present. They can rely on Richarlison in attack, H Son being the team captain to replace Kane role. At the time of writing this, Tottenham had a 1-0 lead over Brentford.

What's interesting for later is the match between Liverpool vs Chelsea, the two clubs underwent major changes in the transfer market. I predict this match will end in a draw, even though statistically Leverpool are superior in this match.

I don't think Chelsea will play well and win with the home match facility. Chelsea have drawn two and lost three of their last five home matches against Liverpool. This is why Chelsea cannot be called favorites considering the home match.

Chelsea performance during preseason was actually commendable but yes that would not determine their performance in the league. Chelsea Vs Liverpool game has always been a difficult match to predict though, majority of their encounter normally ends in draw and I frankly don't expect any different result than draw as usual but football is full of surprises; let watch out for this interesting clash between the duo.

Home advantage, new couch and the spirit of fans will play a vital role for Chelsea and boost their performance but the Reds will also not give them a friendly play as both teams suffer from out-form last season. Despite the Chelsea's talented young squad, Liverpool is at the advantage with their old and experienced players. That being said, if I should place a bet on this game I will favor Liverpool to win or draw.

last season and this season is just a few months apart, so lets say that Chelsea required some time to improve from how they played last season, I don't think that improvement must have happened in just his few months between last season and now, So yeah, i have to agree with you, Liverpool has more chances of winning their match against Chelsea today, if not for any thing, but for the fact that they have been the major competitor against Manchester city in the last season's EPL like you mentioned, and i personally think they like to continue with that competition even in this premier league season..

If you're to mention the major competitors last season against Mancity then it would be Arsenal who almost won the league if not for the draw against Southampton and few loses that made them bottle the league and finished in 2nd Liverpool didn't finish in the top 4 so I wouldn't consider them competitors of last season.

The Manchester city competitor i mentioned wasn't based on last season's premier league, but based on the European champions league(EPL), I think I mentioned that in my comment, everybody, and me of all people should know that the major competitor Manchester city had in the premier league last season was Arsenal.

Anyways, that's by the way, you are correct with all you've said, I didn't get to watch any of the pre-season matches but based on reviews, and your confirmation here as well, Chelsea did play well, at least, better than their performance in both last season's EPL and premier league respectively, but then, pre-season is pre-season, here we are right now is the real deal, their performance against Liverpool today will tell if indeed, they have improved or not.

But it seems that this is not a good start for Aston Villa and they will try to get better results in the next game. Meanwhile, Newcastle won thanks to the first goal scored by his new player from Milan, namely Sandro Tonali and of course his mainstay striker Aleksander Isak with his brace and other goals scored by other players. Eddie Howie is of course very happy with what his squad is showing and hopes that this consistency will continue to last in the future.

The match can't be predicted until it has started and when one see how both clubs are performing in the game. It will be a tough match since it is the first strong game that we will have this season by two big clubs. Chelsea performance last season wasn't something to write home about but I believe that they will put in their best performance this season since there is a new coach and some shuffles of players. I think that Liverpool will be the favourite in the match as they are still strong and consistent in winning than Chelsea. Although I can't use last year performance to conclude who will be the winner in the match but I know that Liverpool wouldn't allow a defeat.

From total meetings records indeed Tottenham had good records from Brentford but recently Brentford has been change became an giant killer and last season even in the last 3 meetings Totteenham was unable to beat Brentford and playing as a host my prediction is Brentford will be so hard to beated by Tottenham even i was thinking without Kane possibly Tottenham will be lose today

I think Brentford has got this one. Spurs at current state are very weak and without Kane their attack unit has really taken a blow. Richarlison will have to fill the spot for Kane and should be the one on whom Spurs will rely on this match heavily. Brentford are really dangerous in counters so Spurs will have to work a lot and not make a mistake while attacking in today's game. Brentford will also be without David Raya but that doesn't changes much as Spurs without Kane.

I am siding towards Brentford win in this one.

And even looking at the odds for this two teams on the bookmakers, the closeness shows that people are actually confused on which of this two teams to bet on, Chelsea going with 2.80 while Liverpool is going with 2.34, 3.40 for draw, this would surely be an interesting match to watch honestly.

Those clubs were getting easy points against mediocre team. Newcastle was performing so good against aston villa. Arsenal and manchester city have been getting three points caused by they were facing mediocre club. This match is really hard to predict. Chelsea has been performing so well during the pre season competitions. It's equal to the newcastle and i think that we will see a hard game between both of clubs.
