Chelsea played a better game than Liverpool. Liverpool even had a hard time making a pass. I guess the old legendary Liverpool no longer exists. I expected them to play a more dominant and quality game against Chelsea, who rebuilt the team. Liverpool was the happy team in this draw. That was an interesting thing. In the weeks to come, Liverpool need to be more careful and concentrated.

He's simply better suited to that defensive midfield position than any other. Even though some believe he is overpriced for 115 million euros as a defensive midfielder, what matters most is how he provides and gives back to his club on the pitch. He won't be as expensive if he doesn't have the potential to fill that position, and I'm confident he'll do well and fill the void left by Ngolo Kante.

It was a normal result for Liverpool-Chelsea to end in a draw, but we can make an average estimate after the first 5 matches of both teams. It's like Chelsea still haven't quite gotten used to playing together. Liverpool, on the other hand, starts the season more cautiously. An important match for both teams ended in a draw without upsetting either team. The performances that I am most curious about in the second matches will be the performances of these teams.

Ten Haq needs to bring some good changes if he wants his team again into top four if they keep going with performance like this surely they could be not able to compete and having another terrible season ahead of them like we have few seasons back.

The Big Match between Liverpool vs Chelsea entertained the audience with various surprises, buying and selling attacks and playing with high intensity became the hallmark of the EPL. The combination of new players and old players looks very solid, Chelsea appeared unexpectedly able to hold Liverpool to a draw which was previously superior. The transfer market for both clubs is still ongoing, it looks like either Liverpool or Chelsea will add a few more players to the squad.

The second week of the EPL will also present an interesting match, Tottenham vs Man United on 19 August. Man City vs Newcastle on 20 August, it will be interesting to wait whether these clubs will also draw.

I will not go into the debate whether Manchester United played well in this match. The important thing is that Manchester United managed to get 3 points in this match. Earning full points is more important to stay in the title fight.
Several weaknesses of Manchester United were observed in the match. However, Manchester United's defense was very strong. If the defenders continue to perform like this, they can do well against the bigger teams. Despite having many players in attack, Manchester United's attack is not strong enough. Manchester United have more inexperienced players in attack. Ten Hag should fix this issue ASAP.

The first games are always tricky and it is difficult to know how stable the teams are. With new players requiring time to adapt to the team and to the strategy used, things gonna improve later.

The season has only begun, thus we shouldn't begin to emphasize either team's improvement until Chelsea and Liverpool have played their other matches, as you correctly point out. By that time, we can assess whether or not both players have improved since the season's beginning.
For Chelsea or Liverpool, winning another is difficult. Their match frequently ends in draws. Having them play 15 draws so far. If I were to place a bet on their return leg at Liverpool home, I would immediately do so as a draw match.

A good start even though the result is still a draw. Hopefully the next game will be better for Chelsea. But there is bad news because 2 full backs are injured. Hopefully can play in the next game. Another job for Pochetino is to improve finishing because it is still lacking. IMO

On the other hand, in the match against Liverpool, Pochetino promised a high-pressure playing style, as evidenced by the way Liverpool pressed up to 65% of possession. Now, to support his playing style, Pochetino needs young players whose average age is 23-27 years. In that match, we can see Enzo really dominating the midfield. now added Caicedo and Lavia (Olise hasn't said he's close to reaching a personal agreement) I think at least the top four is for sure, but Pochetino's target with Chelsea this season is the English league trophy.

Enzo Fernandes was signed by Chelsea during the January transfer window as a defensive midfielder to replace Jorginho, who left for Arsenal. Since he is also a defensive midfielder, why would you say that Chelsea is lacking a defensive midfielder? They just want squad depth and maybe two defensive midfielders in case of some matches that may require them to deploy them all.

Some people were criticizing Arsenal for paying huge amount of money for a Declan Rice, now Chelsea has signed Caicedo for £115m, the quality of the player worth that amount, but transfer market is crazy now because of hype.

Although their head to head is at least more often with a draw result but still, that way at least there is nothing bad and nothing good for them. Unless one of them can win in the match, then at least we will also be able to conclude the winner in the match is the better team. I watched the game and I was disappointed with the red devils performance and five players that underperformed were Mount, Fernandez, Garnacho, Antony and Rashford. Many times Mount was going out of position, making the midfield porous and over labouring Casemiro. Fernandez also had a bad day, it was when Erikson game on that I saw a little of his magic as he was part of the build up that led to the goal. Garnacho flopped completely, he couldn't execute one take on, loses the ball everytime he gets it.

Onana did very well to keep United in the game, AWB was also fantastic with his runs, blocks and slides and also assisted in setting up the goal. United were just lucky to win the game, they really need to improve their performance in their next game.

I watched the game and I was disappointed with the red devils performance and five players that underperformed were Mount, Fernandez, Garnacho, Antony and Rashford. Many times Mount was going out of position, making the midfield porous and over labouring Casemiro. Fernandez also had a bad day, it was when Erickson game on that I saw a little of his magic as he was part of the build up that led to the goal. Garnacho flopped completely, he couldn't execute one take on, loses the ball everytime he gets it.

Onana did very well to keep United in the game, AWB was also fantastic with his runs, blocks and slides and also assisted in setting up the goal. United were just lucky to win the game, they really need to improve their performance in their next game.

I did not watch the match but looking at the player's statistic, Fernandez got not that bad score compared to Antony, Garnacho and Mount.
Yes Antony, Mount and Garnacho seems to be not in their best form in the first match but I think it is still reasonable enough since it is not always easy to show the best in the first match.
Thumbs up to the new GK Onana, he did some crucial saves and make a clean sheet in the first match.
They need more times to create a great teamwork and play in real matches in the league so lets give them more opportunities to show their best.

As for Chelsea, I can’t say anything about them yet because I got confused in the kaleidoscope of their players.
