Your doubts are very basic, I think your doubts arose because you saw Liverpool's performance before this World Cup break which looked messy. Of course this match will be the first step for them, whether Liverpool are better or not. But if you look at their performance when they were beaten by Manchester City in the EFL, I see that there has been an improvement in their game. Although still have to be convinced with their performance in this match.

The injuries that Liverpool suffers from shouldn't be a problem for the team. Their elimination from EFL Cup might affect them a little but I think it should push them to play good in EPL at least.. A half season to forget for Liverpool, they should restart a better half in 2023.

This is what I like about the EPL, at Christmas I will have match entertainment. Man United will play at Old Trafod so the chances of them winning are quite big. Even though I heard them without Maguire. Maguire is reportedly sick, but I'm not sure what he's sick. They are unstable, evident in the EPL rankings. Meanwhile, looking at Nottingham's ability in the EPL, actually they are not that good either, in 18th position and in danger of relegation. They only won 3 times and drew 4 times, the rest of the other matches lost.
