Ten Hag experiment was successfully yesterday that played Casemiro as centre defender he can playing well on that position and this is new position from him since joining to Manchester United and with this result Manchester United qualified to quarterfinal however this result is good to boosted their confidence and Rashford said all of players are in the good shape to faced upcoming match and next match this weekend against Nottingham Forest should be utilized to gets 3 points especially playing at Old Trafford they have to win the match but Nottingham Forest in the positive condition after only get once lose from 5 matches so Manchester United should be careful for these records
A good result for Manchester United in the Carabao cup yesterday against Burnley, hopefully this result would give them a little boost for their next feature and should also raise their confidence going into the next games. Ten Hag seems to be getting things correct this time, United are making a better winning record this season than in the previous seasons.

I was quite impressed with Rashford solo run in Man Utd second goal against Burnley yestarday it was an impressive impressive performance from Rashford and Martial in what look like post Ronaldo Man Utd team, will Rashford or Martial perfectly take up the role of their main striker role when they play Nottingham Forest next week? Well time will tell, I also watched Ganacho clever runs into Burnley 18 yards box yesterday, Ganacho who played as a  left winger was a quite promising young player who will become a pivotal player for Man Utd in the nearest future he needed regular playing time and confidence to achieve that feat.
It is really surprising how well Marcos Rashford has improved so far, his performance in the World Cup was also a surprise to me and thinking all that will change after the world cup but he has remained and proving me wrong with a superb performance again in Carabao cup. I'm sure Ten Hag will love to retain Rashford at the club for further seasons but it look likely to me that Rashford will prefer a move away to the big money club.

I agree with you on this. Liverpool has lost in matches that were supposed to be bonus wins for them, and they are not consistent in their form. But let me put it to you that no matter how poor Liverpool is, when once they meet Manchester city, they will be bent on either taking a win or a draw. History has it that Liverpool is Manchester city's greatest Rival, 81 wins and 46 draws from 173 meetings could tell you how far Liverpool is from Manchester city. I think presently they are suffering a loss of the African giant  "Mane".I pray they recover soon.
As you stated, history has shown that Manchester City has only won 46 games against Liverpool.

Indeed, Liverpool is out of form; they have not been consistent at all this season; they require significant improvement in their squad; they must add more players in order to overcome their current poor performance; otherwise, they will miss out on European competitions such as the Champions League and the Europa League next season.

I think Liverpool fans are just giving excuses for their loss as they see it as an advantage to focus more on other competition like the premiere league and champions league. Through out the beginning of the season Liverpool have been struggling to be consistent in terms of their performance and have lost matches that i supposed would even be counted  as easy wins for them. So yesterday loss at the hands of Manchester city was expected as the winning team was so much better in performance than Liverpool. I don't think Liverpool is going to challenge Manchester City and arsenal for the title this season, the absence of sadio mane in the team has affected Liverpool and the faster they adjust the better for them because the second half of the premier league is about to start and I don't think arsenal who is currently leading the table have any plans of leaving there anytime soon.

History cannot be repeated, what happened today Manchester City is better than Liverpool. Liverpool's defeat to Manchester City will be a big lesson for Klopp, his team is currently not strong enough to compete at the top. The transfer market can be used to build a team, at least being able to finish fourth is good enough for Liverpool this season. The league will start soon, Klopp must mentally prepare his players to win the first EPL match after the international break.

As a Manchester City supporter, of course I'm happy that Manchester City could beat Liverpool in last night's match and with that victory made Manchester City advance to the quarter-finals as well as get rid of Liverpool as the defending champion.
Our elimination last night in the EFL Cup tournament was not a painful one as a Reds supporter. The 3-2 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium gives us the opportunity to concentrate fully on the two bigger competitions which are the Premier League as a whole and the UEFA Champion League. At least we need to prepare to play Aston Villa on the 27th as the first Premier League match after the Qatar 2022 World Cup break.

Liverpool is a team that used beat Manchester City or draw with them even if they are not in good playing form. I am surprised that they lost to City this time around. No team purposely losses one match in order to be successful in the other match.
Those are statements of comfort to lossers. I didn't even watch the match and I didn't know there was match

Didn't watch the match so can't judge whether Liverpool played badly judging from the score I don't think Liverpool played badly but yes quite disappointed to see the results of this match but hopefully it won't affect their next appearance in the League or in the Champions League because those two tournaments should be Liverpool's focus at this time

You can check match statistics in livescore from my observation Manchester City far dominated the match
Manchester City 18 shots and Liverpool 7 shoots so Manchester City deserved to win even though it almost ended in a draw

Although city has been dominating the match but liverpool has a very good accuracy. It can be seen from two goals from 7 shots compared with three goals and 18 shots. The match is so equal between one to the each other.
City has become a winner. Liverpool has been trying so hard to force the match become draw. Im glad to see that if liverpool was doing everything to make the match become draw. A worthy match to be watched.

The EFL Cup competition is not every team's top priority, but this event can be interesting when the top Premier League teams meet. In addition, EFL matches can be a place to test a team's readiness ahead of returning to play in the Premier League.

Manchester City managed to beat Liverpool, this shows the strength of The Citizens is still quite solid and of course it is very important to maintain team morale. If you see the strength shown by Manchester City, I'm sure they will win the Premier League again this season.

I don't support either Manchester City or Liverpool, but whenever the two teams strong, I always give Manchester City the advantage because of the likeness I have for some players in the team and coach personally.yesterday's game, both teams gave it their all, but fortunately, Manchester City came out on top 3-2. Given their recent performance, they deserved it. Looking ahead, I see that Liverpool will play Aston Villa on Tuesday, a game they need to win to boost their confidence in winning the Premier League little. I am betting on the game and am hoping it goes in their favor so I can win my bet also.

do you mean the Manchester City vs Liverpool match in the EFL Cup?. I also didn't get to watch the whole match. However, it seems that Liverpool are having a hard time breaking through the defense of Manchester City. But when Liverpool were able to penetrate the defense of Manchester City it proved to be very effective and could be maximized properly. Manchester City got better in this game. Unlike the previous meeting. But I think Liverpool in the Premier League will be much better than today's game. Liverpool will face Aston Villa which is also an opponent that cannot be underestimated.

I am with you on this, the 2-3 scores mean that both clubs did well, only that Man City won eventually. In footfall, a club must win, it's normal, and for Liverpool to have had two goals mean that they tried indeed, and this post-World Cup achievement might indicate that they are getting better than they were before the world cup. Well, I will not judge them so soon, two more matches might be good enough to know this.

And this is not peculiar to Liverpool alone, but to all the clubs in the EPL and others.

Darwin Núñez was absolutely disastrous today, and Manchester City deserved to win. He has missed about three big scoring chances and isn't very good in the center. As a result, Manchester City eliminated the last finalist.

The club football is back, but it hasn't lived up to the hype of the world cup, so I am anticipating their next appearance in the league or in the Champions League.

It's normal for Man City to win, I'm not surprised. They played better, their set play was better. Apart from that, Nunez was unable to finish several opportunities well. One opportunity might be for him to take the ball too deep and limit his own shooting opportunities. Maybe he should have dared to make a flat pass to his friend backwards.

I have been watching whole game liverpool against manchester city. Liverpool was doing so well by scoring two goals but city has been doing better than liverpool by making the third goal from heading. That's why liverpool was not luck enough caused by the defender was wrongly calculate the pass that was really accurate to be headed by city's player. UCL is still very long. EPL will come soon but there will be some changes going to happen just like liverpool that may get new defender gvardiol as its new player.
That will make the defensive line of liverpool become even stronger. Salah has been the best against city. He was making a goal. Liverpool's effort must be appreciated.
Liverpool played well. It is just that the midfield and the defence was woeful. Honestly Klopp need to do a huge work on the back line failure. All 3 easy goals come from there. Klopp need to do something with Gomez and Robertson. You can't allow your opponent wingers beat you and go freely. Nunez got fantastic pace but need to go super crazy on shoot accuracy. He need to start writing that and he will be liverpool new era if he conqure it.

I can hardly believe how they scored 3 goals in 10 minutes  Cheesy I left the game in a few minutes to make coffee when I came back the score was 3-2
If in the end the final score is 3-3 then I suspect that this match could have been decided/fixed because it's hard to believe. Anyway, there will be many surprises in a match like this.
This is the Premier League, which I think is the best league in the world. At the World Cup we saw how fast the goals can be scored and many players from the Premier League were at the World Cup. Manchester City's time is coming now and I think they will win a few titles this year. And now they will enter the quarterfinals of the League Cup.

The score lines doesn't look disappointing to me for a club that had a come back from 2:0 scoreline to 2:2 within two minutes interval even though it later ended 3:2 in favour of City. Three days from now the EPL will resume and every big side is mostly concerned on moving up the table or holding still their position on the table as a priority. For a team like Liverpool losing a EFL cup match doesn't really count as it would have if it were in the EPL, going by previous game between City and Liverpool in the EPL this season before the world cup break Liverpool has been outstanding against City and I feel lossing out of this game will give Liverpool more time to focus on the EPL and UCL for a better performance.

Tottenham started the season very well. Many expected this team to compete for the title. But they failed. They are not able to maintain consistency. Their performance has been erratic in recent times. They have lost three of their last five matches, and are fourth in the table. Tottenham will not be able to compete for the title this season.
Arsenal and Manchester City's performances have been very consistent. The battle for the title this season will mainly be between these two teams. The points gap between Arsenal and City is 5. If Arsenal can maintain their consistent performance then it is not possible for City to close this 5 point gap.
I was a major fan of Tottenham Hotspur to win the Premier League initially, I did also find myself voting on the poll created on who wins the Premier League but they suddenly had drop in performance that was as a result of low quality players in the squad fir the manager to use as he's already made mention to the chairman daniel levey to get quality signatures in for the club.
Five points is no big deal between them both ( Manchester City and Arsenal ) Manchester City jas a chance to over take gunner's if they don't get very serious and consistent about how they go further.
But I'm really backing gunner's for the premier league title.

you are right Tottenham lack enough talented players in their squad. The stronger their squad, the more stable their performance. They failed to maintain consistency due to not having enough talented players in the squad. Tottenham management should now prepare big funds and add the talented players the team needs to the squad. Otherwise, Tottenham's performance will be weaker.

I was looking forward to seeing how the Arsenal and City players would perform after the long break. City's key player Haaland did not play at the World Cup. He has plenty of time to improve his performance. If he is diligent then we will get a good performance from him in the coming matches.
