The only hope is that a lot of their strength has been multiple very skilful, agile players up front, swapping positions & playing intricate football. Maybe they lose a bit of that with Haaland as he’s all about strength, power & pace. Most teams defend very deep against City so maybe Haaland can’t be as effective as he was in Germany, i.e. no space to run into as lots of parked buses.
Now that Haaland is at the Etihad, his style of play is definitely going to slightly change to the City style, Pep is very good at doing that, getting players to play how he and his team demands, and Haaland is going to be no exception, he (Haaland) was all about power in the bundesliga because of the team he played for then, i am not saying Dortmund is not a fantastic team, but City are miles better than them, with the quality in this City side you can bet Haaland is going to score lots and lots of goals.
Balls are going to be worked perfectly and put on the plate for him to just finish, with the likes of KDB, Mahrez, Foden, Silva, Cancelo, etc all behind him, the dude is gonna enjoy his time with opposition defense i am pretty sure; when i look back at last season, and replay some games in my head when City should have blown the team away, Madrid first leg for example, but at the crucial time, the cutting edge was lacking, with Haaland here now, the Etihad club would be more decisive in such games than previously; what is left to achieve is the CL, and they would start the competition as top favorites again, i just hope the mentality is there this time around to get across the line.
