Salah and Mane have one more season on contract until June 2023, especially Mane who is rumored to be leaving and Bayern as his best port, if Salah follows him to leave can Liverpool replace the duo with other players? I think it's really difficult to do as much as Liverpool can keep one of them, because Liverpool really rose because of the cohesiveness of their striker to become the best in the EPL.
It's hard to imagine if Salah and Mane left.
The good thing for both Salah and Mane is the fact that their contracts will end at the same time hence they can leverage their contracts that way. They will be able to say "pay us more or we both leave" and ask for a lot more. If it was just one of them, you would just keep one and send the other, but in this situation you can't lose both at the same time. So if two of them get together, they could really milk LFC a lot and get a ton of money.
Not saying that they will do that, all I am saying is that there is a chance they could do something like that if they wanted to. And that is something that LFC should fear, wouldn't wanna be like PSG and end up paying too much.
AFAIK, the salary of Mane is ridiculously low comparing to Salah and many others. He is a key player of the team and should be treated accordingly so that's why I assume he is trying to find a better deal elsewhere. I read that he asked to x4 his wage and become the highest paid player, dunno how accurate this news.
For Salah, I think the situation is better so renewing the contract should be easier than Mane.
It is true that when compared to other big teams in the Premier League, Liverpool's management includes those who give small salaries to their
star players. So it's only natural that Salah and Mane want to leave Liverpool, because they want a bigger salary. Even Jordan Henderson had
several times refused a contract extension with Liverpool, but after Liverpool gave a salary increase, finally Jordan Henderson extended the contract
until 2025. Likewise with Mohamed Salah request for a salary increase has not been fulfilled, but I'm sure Liverpool will give Salah what he wants, knowing how much Salah has contributed to Liverpool. So the possibility of Salah staying at Liverpool is indeed much greater than Sadio Mane.
Although I think Liverpool should also try to keep Mane, because Mane's contribution cannot be underestimated. But it looks like Liverpool don't want
to spend too much money, so it's likely Mane will be let go.
