Fans may be true about the mentality of Arsenal players. They still have a weakness in the mentality because most of them are young players. Many main players are still below 25, but they are very skillful and likely to have a great future. In terms of squad quality, I personally assume they actually deserve to play in UCL although their mentality may be not ready yet. The problem is a distinct lack of depth in the Arsenal squad. The starting XI is blessed enough to compete for a top-four place; had Tierney and Partey been available then the season climax may have transpired differently.
Not only about the gap quality between main players and substitution, they really need more experienced/top players. If most players are experienced enough and almost have the same quality level, Arsenal won't have a serious problem when the main players like Tierney and Partey are not available (got injured).
