I'm still shocked at Arsenal's 1 - 1 result vs Brighton, yes its football and anything can actually happen, but Arsenal was supposed to win that game in order to close the gap between them and the table toppers. Arsenal is currently 5 points behind Liverpool, Liverpool on the other hand have 2 games at hand and if they happen to win those two games at hand, that's 6 points for them plus their 5 points in hand, that will be a total of 11 points ahead of second placed team. It's already looking like Liverpool is running away with the league, Arsenal really need to sit up for the sake of their fans at least.

Arsenal have really tried their best especially in the first half but Brighton showed lots of resistance even after conceding a goal, I must commend Nwaneri for such a brilliant goal, if he continues with such performance he'll end up like the likes of his country men ( Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman ). Anyways I'm so much in love with Brighton's performance in this match, they're not showing any sign of being the underdogs, though they conceded in the first half but they pressured Arsenal in the second half and committed them to a penalty thereby creating a chance to equalise and they're even creating more good chances to goal. I'm pretty sure lots of viewers, especially Arsenal fans would be very surprised concerning the outcome of the match, I'm not really surprised though cause I always expect situations like this in the EPL, underdogs like Brighton can be very troublesome if you underestimate them. Well, the game is still on however Arsenal just have few minutes to turn things around, let's see how it goes in this extra minutes.
Brighton playing at home have been formidable this season and I was not surprised that they held Arsenal to a draw. Arsenal have lost to teams that they should have supposed to confidently win. Their performance particularly in this match was nothing short of embarrassment. They got the lead in the first half they failed to hold on to the lead as their performance was limited in the second half and Brighton got the better part of the game where they registered more shot on goals than arsenal. I think it might be because of the absence of Bukayo Saka.

Manchester City thrashed West Ham today at the Etihad and I think we aren't talking much about how improved they are now after enduring a poor run both in the English Premier League and in Europe. With their win today, have now won their last two games and picking maximum 6 points after winning just one in 13 games in all competition. Manchester City might not be back to their best but the truth is they're getting maximum points at the moment.

They're improving and things can only get better for Manchester city from here henceforth since the January window for transfer is around and players can be bought that'll help strengthen the Manchester city squad to give them more advantages when they play. Also Manchester city has always won WestHam when they play so this mightn't really be that Manchester city has regained their form but just a game that they'll win regardless of how poor their form are. We have to wait until Manchester city plays another club before we can conclude that they're finally back to form. When they win that club and also win in a big way as they did today then they're back in form.

Honestly, I don't agree if Maguire's contract is extended. While Man United needs younger players to get better contributions.
If that happens, I would say it's a bad start for Amorim when he has to extend the contract.
Yes, that's how it is, but both Man United and Amorim as the coach himself also want to extend Maguire's contract with the reasons as explained. However, that's how it is, Man United often makes decisions that are quite controversial and funny. I thought that Amorim's presence would change that, but it turned out to be the same.

.....Haaland scored a brace, while Foden scored 1 goal, the other goal was Vladimír Coufal's own goal. Niclas Füllkrug scored a consolation goal in the home game, but it spoiled Manchester City's winning party.
Finally, Haaland is back.
Winning streak in 2 games for Man City, great improvement for the club. And also for Haaland, now he is 1 goal behind Moh Salah as the top scorer. The competition is getting tight.

This is the second game in a row Manchester City is winning after their set backs they were suffering recently,  it's beginning to feel like  they are better now and can begin to restore the hope of possibly getting back on the title race again this season.  This fixture got them with every form of their brilliance, they dis performed well as compared to their most recent performances due to their set backs,  but then they hopefully maintain this new four.d form as I did mentioned earlier after they won their last game that they will definitely rejuvenate their confidence and most likely get back to winning ways.
Pep Guardiola is regarded as the best football manager of his generation by many for a big reason and despite suffering a very poor run in the last three months it seems Manchester City are back to their best again. Guardiola did say Manchester City will be making some signings this transfer window to improve the quality of the squad which they're yet to do but that isn't stopping City to deliver an outstanding performance today.

Manchester city can finally continue their spectacular victory for them, because we know that lately they have not been concentrating at all and have not played well as they have done. But two matches with 6 points have made them return to their best form by winning matches with big scores. Haaland has also managed to find his sharpness again because he managed to contribute two goals in this match.

This victory certainly opens the way again for Manchester City to return to the top 4 and indeed the competition will be stronger because several teams appear more consistent such as Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest. In addition, Arsenal's failure is of course very disappointing because they failed to stick to Liverpool after they shared points in today's match. Liverpool seems very happy with the results obtained by Arsenal in today's match.
After winning the away match against Leicester 0-2, today Manchester City also won their home match against West Ham with a score of 4-1. Haaland scored a brace, while Foden scored 1 goal, the other goal was Vladimír Coufal's own goal. Niclas Füllkrug scored a consolation goal in the home game, but it spoiled Manchester City's winning party.

Manchester City have won their last two Premier League games so far, then they will face Salford City in the third round of the FA Cup in the coming days. The 21st match is against Brentford, I think it will not be easy because Brentford is a team that is difficult to beat.

Arsenal would be champions if they didn't drop points so easily, but they always waste the opportunities they get. You're ahead against Brighton & Hove Albion, you're playing superior, score the second goal and finish the job. But it can't happen, they have to concede a goal. They haven't won four games in a row in the league this season. Arsenal can't afford to drop points like this when Liverpool are in such form. They won't be champions this season either if they continue like that.
Arsenal seem set to repeat last season history, being a trophy contender but failing to win it again at the end of the season. I think that's the impact of the draw they got against Brighton today, it means letting Liverpool lead the standings alone, and Arsenal failed to put any significant pressure on. Most likely Arsenal will have difficulty reducing the points gap that has been created, because Liverpool continues to show very consistent performance.

I think that's the main reason why Arteta should target a sharp striker, who can make a difference in the results of the match, so that they don't lose momentum to win trophies again. Actually, I'm also not so sure that Arsenal will be able to perform consistently in the future, so that they have the opportunity to overtake Liverpool at the top of the standings. The decline in Man City performance this season should have provided an easier path for Arsenal to end their title drought.

Chelsea's performance has depreciated tremendously. Their defense and frontline are no longer as formidable as before. Any team in the Premier League can win them if they mean to. I am no longer sure whether they can make it to the top 4 this season.
I watched the first half and I couldn't continue the game because I had other things I needed to take care of. From what I saw, Chelsea was brilliant, they had control over the game, and also had some good chances before Palmer found the back of the net. I must say that It's the assist from Sancho that blew me away, the trickery and ability to find the right pass in a very small space. I guess the second half sub changed the game for Palace and they stole a point. I know it's not the result Chelsea fans wanted especially after a back to back defeat but they're still very much in the title race. They just have to keep working hard and avoid dropping points.

M.City won again, this time by a different score.
Chelsea and Arsenal lost points tonight. These points were very important for the championship race.
If Liverpool wins tomorrow, the point difference will be 8. Liverpool has 1 match less.
Liverpool will beat M.United comfortably.

Arsenal just made it clear that they are useless without Saka and Arteta can never be a champion as a coach, win this game but no way. Arsenal just let the other teams know that they can't play well if Saka is not available, that's bad and it means the team is not complete, get an attacker Arteta says he is comfortable with what he has. This game disgusting to me big time, how can they catch up with Liverpool with this nonsense they displayed? No miracle will come to the aid of Arsenal and I don't see them getting close with this display. Brighton did what they need to do and they are ok with it.
Saka is an important player in Arsenal squad, but it is not fair to say that Arsenal is useless without Saka because they do win matches without him, and Brighton has always been a team that do give tough time to almost all the big teams in the EPL, and with Saka, they were able to held Arsenal to a draw in the first leg even though Arsenal played with one man down then.

However, Arteta has always been a subject to be blamed whenever Arsenal lose or a draw any match because his stubbornness is always contributing to the points loss; he is always making some decisions that he usually regret after the game, and if he keeps this mentality, he will never win the EPL anytime soon. As an Arsenal fan, I am not happy with the outcome because this is a clear opportunity to reduce our point gap with Liverpool.

If you feel they are not useless without Saka then why haven't they showed that sign of dominance in that game? They play like they couldn't go for a win but are ok with playing a draw, in the first leg I'd say it was the red card that caused everything that happened to Arsenal for not having the 3 point but in today's game I see the Gunners as a team to win this game since they know how important the second leg are to them with Chelsea playing a draw is an opportunity to extend the point gap between them and getting close to Liverpool and wait to see how they will play against Manchester United tomorrow, but they were complete on the pitch but no aggressiveness to get the job done. Arteta has always been the man to blame because as the manager he knows what he needs to make the team stronger and better to compete with the likes of Liverpool Manchester City and as well Chelsea in terms of squad depth, but getting those quality players is a problem. Martinelli has the speed and a little bit of skills but mixing it with decision making in front of goal is a problem, that's not the kind of player to have or rely on. See why Saka is far way better than the players that plays same position as him. Without Saka the corner kick wasn't connecting at all, Brighton sealed the Gunners for real today.

What can we expect from Manchester City in this 2025. They won their game against Westham today. Rodri is back and the team has increased in the performance in their last two games. Will they be able to come back up and win the league? I doubt so, because they are very down in terms of point in the League table. The gap between Liverpool and City is not something that can be easily closed. It will take Liverpool to lose up to 4 games for City to be in the top which is nearly impossible for Liverpool to lose so much.

~~
So finally Pep has made a U-turn and broken the silence and gotten the victory again. Manchester city has won back-to-back matches in supreme style. This time they smashed the West Ham with a pretty big margin of 4-1. Pep started the new year on a good note. The end of 2024 was very bad for Manchester city who were defeated even Pep was longing for victory, but finally pep organized the team and went on the victory track. So looking at this current sentiment, I think Pep can add more league points. Chelsea has lost their confidence in a few matches or only got 2 points. So maybe this can be the best opportunity for Manchester City to surpass the Blues and Newcastle United and come up to 4th place.

So, in the coming matches, if Manchester City controls both of them and there are victories in the match, beyond any doubt, Pep's team can approach the 4th place. And if they continue to be consistent, maybe they can surpass Arsenal before the last cap.

Underestimate- nothing
Winning consistent two games could be a sign of recovery for a team that won only one game in twelve matches. Saying that they won West Ham because it is a weak club is not totally correct. City was unable to win Crystal Palace and Everton, both games ended in a draw. Meanwhile, West Ham have more points than these two clubs City drew against. Winning two game in a row might be an indication that Pep Guadiola has discovered what is wrong. Just as you said, we cannot conclude that they have returned back to normal quality but I think there is an improvement. More future games will either affirm my claims or dispute it.

At least they winning two games shows that things are getting better for than because the past few weeks was not a good one for Manchester City at all, who would have expected city to lack consistency and they have those that will are willing but they are just finding it very hard to be consistent and they have been on a losing this past few games and when they played against west ham it was a different thing and now they are on a journey of redemption and they might be lucky to be able to perform well.

And the fact that west ham is a weak club should also be part of the Reason why they were able to win west ham and there last five games don't even speak well of them and you can not conclude that they are back in form but with time am sure they will find there way around.

And even pep don't know exactly what to do at this point and he as to seriously work on their team work because that is part of what they are lacking, and am sure they will be able to salford city.

Today in the Premier League was really an interesting one, literally all the fixtures had both teams scoring a goal each imnn the games and they all had at over one goal in the games, I had it in mind today that all the games were actually going to have both teams scoring a goal each but I wasn't confident enough to place a bet on them and it's really funny how it turned out that all the teams actually had a goal and ended up giving the results I did taught of them.
There are still a few more matches left, although you mentioned that you were not confident to bet, but I think you can be confident for these two matches ahead.
Especially in the match between Liverpool and Manchester United, it can be said with a lot of confidence that Liverpool will win this match, although Manchester United has beaten Liverpool very few times but most of the times Liverpool on the ahead and also they will try to make their position on the top more strong.

In another match between Fulham and Ipswich Town, I think Fulham will win because in this case too, Fulham is always ahead of Ipswich Town in head to head comparisons.

I don't think Arsenal are serious title contenders in the Premier League, even if they really try to win it every season.
They always fail to maintain consistency every season and their performance is often disrupted which in turn creates a points gap with the top. Liverpool, who currently have 2 matches in hand, still have a distance of 5 points above Arsenal, who have played 20 matches. Of course, with this, Arsenal seems to be confirming that they are not good competitors to win the title.

It is possible that Nottingham can match Arsenal's points because Nottingham has not yet played its 20th match. Manchester City won today, which was their second win after winning over Leicester. Manchester City are starting to improve and will try to improve their consistency, in fact I really feel that over time Manchester City will return to the top flight even if they don't win the title.
