What can we expect from Manchester City in this 2025. They won their game against Westham today. Rodri is back and the team has increased in the performance in their last two games. Will they be able to come back up and win the league? I doubt so, because they are very down in terms of point in the League table. The gap between Liverpool and City is not something that can be easily closed. It will take Liverpool to lose up to 4 games for City to be in the top which is nearly impossible for Liverpool to lose so much.
Apart from the City game i becoming so impressed with the way Chelsea is playing today but they are still one goal ahead of Crystal Palace. The faster they score another goal in the game the better for them to the three points home. However, i like the duo between Palmer and Sancho. Both players are highly into each other in the game and they have giving Chelsea the lead they deserve today.
Will be very much surprised if West Ham don't sack Lopetegui soon with results like this. Last match was a 5-0 defeat to Liverpool, in the match with City have already conceded 4 and not counting Southampton serious victories Lopetegui's team has not had recently, but City is apparently coming out of the crisis and although Liverpool this season apparently can not be stopped, but the first three City can still get, if as usual will be successful in the second half of the championship.
Chelsea drew with Palace and a couple more matches like with Ipswich and Crystal Palace and Chelsea will most likely drop out of the championship race.
There is a possibility in the next match if West Ham gets a bad result and also a big defeat, in the next match West Ham will face Aston Villa in the FA Cup and also with Fulham. And if both matches get bad results then it will be a threat to Lopetegui Argote. And I am also happy to see Manchester City starting to return to their best performance and I hope that with the two good results that Manchester City has done, it can continue, and can compete at the top. However, Liverpool seems to have difficulty catching up, considering the aggressive attacks that make their opponents have difficulty which will make Liverpool likely to still win every match and Liverpool also still have one more match to play.
Yes, it is very unfortunate that Chelsea failed to get full points and a goal in the final minutes from Jean-Philippe Mateta ruined the victory that was in sight and the score ended in a 1-1 draw.
Maybe West Ham have some money problems because they sell players more often than buy and hardly buy any players and Lopetegui was hired because he was cheaper than the others.
By other metrics West Ham is in last place in the EPL, including attacking and defensive metrics and West Ham's play proves it.
