I did not see that loss coming tbh. I mean, its quite disheartening that these guys had to lose in thier own ground. To think that rudiger's goal in the 48th minute will be the start of the goal rain, instead, Brentford had to equalize in the 50th minutes and the lashing began and then tables where turned.
Their performance was far from encouraging and even if some would say they had to lose so they could focus on their game on the 6th against Real Madrid, I still don't think it was necessary to let their goal post open to let in four goals like that.
I believe they have a contingency plan in place as they are fourteen points behind Man City, to ensure they meet up and can still retain the position.

If I go out to watch a Manchester United game, I don't go there expecting a possible win.
Good thing I did yesterday coz I was going to have a bad day, they failed to score first and ended in a draw.
I still don't expect them into the top four at the end of this season, they should prove me wrong by doing so.

Exactly. It is best for Chelsea to only focus on their third position. Playing well to keep that position and won't lose it to Arsenal. It is a good achievement for them after the sanction on Abramovich. In this season, they still have opportunity to win Champions League. Will Tuchel become a second coach so do Chelsea as a second team to successfully protect their trophy?

Unfortunately before this important match both teams have to play in the champions league which this match can drain energy and risk injury. The coach must be able to manage the line-up because these two matches are very important.

I don’t blame Ralf at all for this draw because he was not given any new player in the January transfer window, plus his title of interim coach isn’t helping him at all as player’s are not respecting him. Also I hope that the new coach sees that he’ll have to sell many of these player’s and then slowly rebuild it, because if he decides to retain these player’s then next season won’t be any different then how this season was.

Everytime I watch Manchester United play they have always seemed to tie in their matches.
I do not know if it is curse but for matches which they have home side advantage and are the better of the two teams, they end up drawing in the end.
Leicester city wasn't a hard side to dominate in their play but they just couldn't get anything going in the box.

Given how Brentford were playing earlier , I don't think Brentford had chance to prevail but yesterday they really played well. That certainly puts their CL spot into contention but I think Chelsea after this surprise will do well. It's just one game and not a series of losses to call it a rough patch for them.

I don't think with Chelsea focus on champion league match because looking on player list composition are regular all and not any reason why defeated by Brentford 1-4 on Stanford Bridge. Right now 3rd position still not safe for Chelsea after losing 3 points last night because 5 points left from Arsenal where have two match left will give bad thing for Chelsea, Arsenal could lead to 3rd position standing if success get two winning and have 1 point left than Chelsea. This week, Arsenal will face with Crystal Palace and looks easy getting 3 point and make Chelsea not safety on 3rd position standing.
