On the other hand, Southampton does have a men advantage against Newcastle United in their opening match but eventually they still lost that match without scoring any goal. I think the offense of Southampton are not that strong and Brentford should be able to claim an easy victory against Southampton.
Very disappointed how Southampton was goalless in the games against Newcastle and Forest. They had golden momentum after Newcastle's red card. But, they couldn't keep it until the end of the game. The same thing happened in the game against Forest. The wrong tactic hurt their attack.

Southampton should just play 4-3-3, This will help them in their attack. The last game showed they always struggled to enter the penalty box. Also, adding an attacker who can dribble will balance their attack.

It's obvious Southampton hasn’t really upgraded their attack since they went down. Of course they struggling to score, and wrong tactic makes it even worst.

I think you should allow Chelsea fans to celebrate their first win of the season because they can't remember the last time they got excited about their victory, even last season, they weren't comfortable with the way the club was playing, you're right, they should be happy for the time being, but they don't know how consistent the team will be, Madueke faced a weak team and scored his first hat trick for the club, but I doubt he will do so again, he has already scored three goals, one behind Haaland, but let's see how many he can score this season.
Madueke is just lucky, even though he has decent skill, but he's not consistent.

The best signing by Chelsea is Palmer, while other signing are mostly bad players, only few are decent.

Luckily Chelsea will face many weak teams in the next month, so I will not be surprised if Chelsea will not lose any single match. Chelsea fans will be happy to see their team looks strong, but I will wait till they meet Brighton and Liverpool. Wink
What do you think Madueke would have done without Cole Palmer's pass? Cheesy I'm not so sure he can score a lot of goals but I have to admit that it was Madueke's luck that he got a hat trick in the match with Wolves, while the next one is still not sure he is not Haaland who can score every time.

There is no doubt about Cole Palmer, it's one of Chelsea's best buy players, even though it's expensive Palmer still has a lot to contribute to Chelsea.

Looking at some of Chelsea's upcoming fixtures it won't be too complicated because it faces a low team, even so it doesn't need to be underestimated that we need to ask how far Chelsea is consistent with its victory? That is the way Chelsea's opportunity to continue to win points with low teams.

As long as Man City can continue to consistently win, or at least only draw from their strong rivals, yes City's chance to defend the EPL title for the umpteenth time remains big. Moreover, they are still with the same squad, the same coach, and the strength that may be even greater and consistent because they learned from last season's experience. The biggest challenge and they are targeting is to win the UCL, because last season it was taken over by their fierce rival, Real Madrid.

If you look at some of the results of the matches that have taken place, Man City got a very promising victory in two matches and this is a big threat to other teams who want to win the English league title this season.
Man City is still the favorite to win because they still look so strong so far and if Man City is able to maintain consistency like last season then it will be much easier for them to retain the English League title.

But if we talk about the Champions League it will be much more difficult because there it is not only about the quality of the players and coaches, it could be that experience and opportunities are reasons that really need to be seen more broadly.
Man City always dominates the EPL and this season everyone has no doubt that Man City is still a strong candidate to lift the trophy, in the two matches that have been played Man City looks consistent and there are no problems at all, but this season Man City must be more careful against its tough competitors, namely Arsenal and Liverpool, because in the two matches that have been played Arsenal and Liverpool have not conceded at all this indicates that the defense they have is very solid so it is difficult to penetrate. therefore Man City must be more serious in every match that will be played in the future, if they do not want their trophy to be stolen this season.
as you said UCL is very different only teams that have experience and a champion mentality can lift the trophy Man City has that but as we know Real Madrid is much more experienced.

Whether it was Madueke's luck or not, because if it's about a hat-trick at least I can no longer say it was luck but about the good effort he made. But indeed, if we consider that Madueke is basically an attacking player or a forward,  but the reality is that Madueke never had many goals in previous seasons either. Thus, maybe I also agree if Madueke got lucky, or maybe I can also still recognize the good efforts made by Madueke for making a hat-trick.

Also, because Chelsea have a lot of players in their squad, it could be a factor that Enzo Maresca will always rotate players. If that happens, then it is very likely that Madueke will also not always be able to enter the starting  eleven or not always have the opportunity to enter the main squad in every match. But yes,  it's also interesting whether Chelsea will still be consistent or not, because I think Enzo Maresca will also still make some experiments to determine the players in his main squad.

I also think that City did not have the best season last year and this is what gave Arsenal the opportunity to follow City until the very last round. And although in the last season it seemed that Arsenal became a more stable team, I am not in a hurry to say that Arteta will completely get rid of this problem, and therefore I do not think that Arsenal can become the main competitor for City this season, at least until the first decline.
Many people want Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season after failing twice, I think if they fail for the third time it will be very painful for Mikel Arteta and I'm afraid the club won't trust him anymore.
That's what I’m saying. This is the make or mar season for Arteta. If he fails to return the EPL and/or UCL, he doesn't deserve any extension. The owners backed him real good. Show workings or bounce.

Sometimes I feel the Club Management are okay with the progress. Yes, I know that the longer he stays the better the team becomes.
I think if the club had wanted a quick result, they would have appointed a world Class coach.

Nobody has said otherwise in the last 2 seasons. I’m simply saying efforts without results is not it at all.
Even Arteta knows he has to win the EPL title.
Time in football is very short. It evolves faster than other fields in terms of tactical changes  & career longevity. Time can no longer be considered as a constraint to Arteta.
I totally understand what you are saying, the truth is Arteta would have won the league if not for a coach like Pep Guardiola. Pep knows how to compete in the top and it will take something extra to defeat pep Guardiola when it comes to winning titles. Arsenal have done everything possible to win it but it is not working. You are correct when you said Manchester City had a difficult campaign last season. They were without their top players for a considerable number of time. Kelvin absence affected Haaland in terms of goal scoring and Rodri few games out due to suspension, was a major setback for them. If Manchester City have their complete squad active, Arsenal will find it difficult to pipe city for the league title. The only thing that Arsenal can wish for is that Manchester City should start having bad results immediately, but if City continue like this till January then the league is already theirs.

Chelsea indeed shamed your skepticism on not giving them a straight win and went for a double chance Chelsea win or draw.
From a prediction mindset, I can understand the pick. Wolves isn’t all that an easy team to win especially, while playing from a home side and Chelsea is not one hell of a reliable team just yet.
However, Chelsea completely destroyed Wolves yesterday with some clear chances created to seal the game in a Wolves 2:6 Chelsea win.

Newcastle however didn’t have a very good game. I expected them to win this one.

Liverpool are holding up just fine to the exit of Klopp.

yeah Chelsea really surprised me with that win against Wolves. I didn't expect them to dominate like that. Wolves can be tough to play against, especially at home. And yeah, I thought Newcastle would have a better game too. As for Liverpool, they seem to be managing well even without Klopp. Cheers!

Everybody jubilating for Chelsea, but how consistent can they go? Good job today in between. But how many goals can Noni Madueke contribute? Or will he fold after his first hat trick for the club. Todd Boehly must be happy but we will see how well his defense can cope. Attackers seems to be nuclear weapons.

It's good to celebrate after waiting for this long time for it to happen. Chelsea have faced a lot; they have lost their performance for the past seasons, and now that they are getting it back, what did you expect? Should they fold their hands watching them win without showing any form of happiness? Impossible . Although what you are saying is that they have shown this type of performance before and it later went off, which makes you think their consistency may not last, but in my opinion, Chelsea are now ready to dominate their matches and deliver a good result. The season just started; let's watch and see. We cannot judge any team now from their performance.

Liverpool has just won their first two game under a new manager for the first time in a long time.  Next up will be against Manchester United. We will definitely see what happens against the two rivals. I can boast about City and Gunners, they can go five to six game unbeaten this way. Shout-out to David Raya, brilliant goalkeeping from his yesterday.

Liverpool and Manchester United matches will be something difficult we will talk about now because to me there is not much difference in their performance, although Liverpool looks stronger, but let's see what they will do. The match will be interesting to watch.

I think Arteta deserves to be retained because he is the only one who is able to bring Arsenal to this point, even though this season he failed again in my opinion it was a ridiculous decision for management to fire him because he is the only coach who has brought Arsenal to become a competitor in the EPL for the past two seasons, surely Arsenal management understands the process experienced by Arteta and Arsenal to become a solid team because the process takes quite a long time and is not as easy as turning over your hand, let luck answer all of that regarding the championship title that has not been obtained until now.
In the last two seasons Arsenal have really improved under Arteta's guidance and this cannot be denied by the team management because last season Arsenal was also a challenger for the Premier League title even though they were not lucky enough to win the championship last season. And at the beginning of this season Arsenal have also been able to win two matches for a good start to the season so there is no special reason for the management to fire Arteta, unless this season Arsenal really gets bad under Arteta's guidance.
Any move to fire Arteta at this point is a wrong move, I doubt if any coach that comes to manage Arsenal will contend for the title as much as Arteta does. If we look at the point margins between Arsenal and Manchester City then we can attest to the fact that they are just a bit closer to winning the EPL, if not for some silly mistakes at that critical point then last season would have been a success for them. This season now comes with another privileged and already they are up to do with their recent fixtures which shows they are still in for the competition. I once predicted for them to win the title this season while Manchester City goes head to head for the Champions League and Madrid to win the La Liga.

Arsenal under Arteta's era doing very well the way team Arsenal improved their game and the way they challenged top teams previously for the title race is good to see.
Everyone hopes that Arteta's and the Gunners want more good results this season and want to lift the trophy.

In addition, both Man City, Liverpool, and Arsenal are still continuing their best results with wins. The competition is getting tight, they must get more goals if they win continuously.

Everybody jubilating for Chelsea, but how consistent can they go? Good job today in between. But how many goals can Noni Madueke contribute? Or will he fold after his first hat trick for the club. Before Manchester United fans begin lamenting and crying like emotional babies, I would want them to know that Manchester United has improved, they're not just looking close enough but allowing emotions judge Erik Ten Hag. He is no magician, the players are to execute not him. I think the call out for him to be sacked is not just a dump call but also a stupid one. With the right selections up next, I'm certain a point will be squeezed outta Liverpool or win. Give him time. Image displays expected goals from clubs, it's just that Manchester United started without a number 9
For me, I would say it's a gradual process, for now Chelsea should learn to go one step after the other, one match at a time and see how they can progress, I think the away win against Wolverhampton is a step in the right direction for them as a team because they did not allow themselves to be drenched in that loss against Manchester city on the first day but rather got back to winning ways as soon as they could by trashing wolves 6 goals to 2, it's good for the team and the manager if they can continue to get these kind of win until they meet the top four teams that may pose a threat to them, but until then, I think they are in good shape for now.

Manchester City is a classic contender for the title and only mistakes from the other teams that allow it to stay the first. Several times Manchester City was running behind other teams like Arsenal but at the end they jump in the first place and win the title.

Man City is always a good and hard contender in EPL and every time few mistakes are made by Man City but other top teams overcome their errors and loss points and games at a very crucial time which puts City on top of the table and this is the momentum which top team wants and they clinched the title.

Manchester City standings pattern is slightly different from last season where Manchester City usually does not rush to be at the top, on the contrary we know that Arsenal at the beginning of last season was the most aggressive in leading the top, now it is the opposite and Arsenal is a little careful by not releasing all their strength at the beginning. Although not a special benchmark, I personally still see the competition between Manchester City, Arsenal, and even Liverpool will be more exciting after undergoing the league in the middle of the season.
I think City are not looking their best at the moment, a win over Ipswich shouldn't be a big deal, and Arsenal are quite good, and they didn't have any big problems even with Aston Villa. All the teams have the same number of points so far, no one has dropped points, but Arsenal's schedule for the next few games is more difficult, they have to play Brighton, who are looking very good, and Tottenham, Liverpool will go to Manchester United, maybe one of them will drop points. City's schedule is easier and they will host Arsenal only towards the end of September.

Yes, Liverpool is also nominated besides Manchester City and Arsenal. Arne Slot got a good legacy from Klopp so it is not difficult for him to give something material to the players. The rhythm of the game applied by Slot can be said to be exactly the same as what Klopp did, only there are some additional techniques that make Mohammad Salah and his friends sharp again. But this is still early in the season and I think Slot must prove his capacity in this week's tight match.

Slot just continues the squad that has been built by Jurgen Klopp and the results are in line with everyone's expectations. This coach is quite reliable. Not many changes occurred in the Liverpool squad. And there isn't even much movement in the transfer market this time. This makes it easier for Slot to adapt quickly and only needs to make a few small adjustments at Liverpool. And Liverpool's players were also able to immediately adapt to their new coach because there weren't many changes. Klopp has indeed inherited a good squad, and there is no need for major changes to the squad that Klopp has built apart from preparing the young generation for the long term of this club.

Klopp's squad legacy is enough to help Slot enter the title race. Our old squad is having depth, chemistry, consistency, and connectivity. I don't think we urgently needs to overhaul the club. But, some small transfers to strengthen our subs are needed. Our defensive line is weak enough and it needs to add a new CB to our subs. But if you keep up with the news, Liverpool has been approaching some players. They have signed a new goalkeeper and winger. all in all, I'm good with our current line up. There's no need to feel worried about that, but still disappointed we don't add a new CB to our subs.
Klopp era is the best and now Slot picked the player team and fans from where Klop left off this is the best way so far I loved to see in Slot, the passion, and the energy are almost at the same level. Liverpool will beat Man United in this Sunday game.

Leicester again failed to get their first win of the season after having to bow to the host Fulham with a score of 2-1 and certainly this is not the result desired by Jamie Vardy and his colleagues. Previously Leicester had been tense when playing against Spurs and I thought the draw would be able to highlight their purpose of being here again. But it seems that it has not been realized and I am still waiting for a positive result from them.

On the other hand, West Ham who had fallen against Aston Villa in the first week, has managed to avenge their defeat in the match against Crystal Palace and the result was 2-0 for the Hammers squad. This is a good start for West Ham at the start of the season considering the competition is still ongoing between teams to continue to improve their position in the standings. However, there is doubt after this victory, West Ham must also play a match against Manchester City and it is certain that they will lose points again later.
A disappointment from the Leicester team and a consistent loss at the start of their EPL campaign made it very tough for the team and manager to gain momentum and return as a strong EPL team. Let's see it's very early to predict.

The 3 newly promoted teams are having a tough time in the English Premier League as Leicester City are the only promoted team which had gained a single point via a draw against Tottenham. On the other hand, Southampton does have a men advantage against Newcastle United in their opening match but eventually they still lost that match without scoring any goal. I think the offense of Southampton are not that strong and Brentford should be able to claim an easy victory against Southampton.
Yes, it can be said that these three teams performed less than satisfactory in the two matches they played each. Only Leicester City managed to get 1 point, the rest of these two clubs, namely Ipswich Town and Southampton, suffered defeats. There are still many things that need to be fixed to be better in the next match. seeing this is still the second week in the premier league there is still time to fix it all, I hope there is a surprise that they will give this season in the third week they will get a fairly difficult opponent, Leicester will meet Aston Villa at home, Leicester can win but if you see their opponent is Aston Villa I am more inclined to a draw. on the other hand Ipswich will host Fulham, we know in the second week they beat Leicester 2-1, I think a narrow victory will be obtained by Fulham, and as you said about Southampton it is clear that Brentford is favored and can achieve maximum results at home.
but what I want to see these three teams can surprise the EPL this season, and I look forward to that

Man City looks like it will still be the club with the most potential to win the title again this season. Seeing them play has really proven that they are on a different level from other teams. Arsenal and Liverpool might indeed compete closely with them. And Arsenal should be the strongest to compete with Man City. But now Liverpool also looks just as strong. I didn't expect that Arne Slot could immediately put this team in good form at the start of the season. It seems he already knows how to continue the strategy used by Klopp. So Liverpool remains stable even though they have a new coach. Brighton entered the competition at the start of this season. But I'm not sure they will continue to be consistent with results like now.

I don't know why some people here are not happy seeing Chelsea fans smiling. Reading lots of posts here justifies how eager people are to see their downfall. Madueke scored against wolves and not a newly promoted club but you're calling wolves a weak team? Wolves that has been maintaining their top flight campaign in Premier league for several seasons is now being considered a weak team because they played against Chelsea. I know they have been struggling too since last season but they're a solid mid table team with strengths and are very competitive in the league. Chelsea overpowered them with a thunderstorm scoreline but it doesn't make them a weak team.

Quote
We should not underestimate Arne Slot's ability to maintain this level throughout the season. I don't think Slot will have any problem maintaining Klopp's level in the Premier League, the players have already adapted to the team and the league, so I am confident in their performances this season. However, I think Slot will have a problem competing in the Champions League because he lacks experience in such competitions, and they will play against clubs from different leagues, even last season, Slot's club previous club was eliminated in the group stage, so I believe Liverpool will face difficult challenges in the Champions League.

Liverpool for now has been consistent with their performance and Slot is maintaining Klopp results in the club. Until the UCL draw is finally out, I don't see them having problem like we are presuming. The club he managed last season doesn't have the kind of players Liverpool possessed at the moment and that makes it inaccurate to compare.

Oh hello Lannakosa! Exactly, Slott seems like a positive guy and so far he's done well not to change things too much. Klopp left an already strong team, so it is difficult to improve. Let's hope Liverpool continues to dominate and have a good season!
