Newcastle managed to beat Southampton at home with a thin score of 1-2. Even though they lost in possession, they (Newcastle) were more effective in launching attacks. Yes Southampton managed to control the ball with 68%, but they struggled to penetrate the Newcastle defense, as a result they had to lose in front of their own audience. These results make them fail to shift Aston Villa in the standings.

Newcastle are still maintaining their unbelievable form in the league now. They played one of their missing games against Southampton today and won that 2-1 away. And they turned the game around from a 1-0 score disadvantage also. Newcastle players really started to believe in themselves and this is reflecting on their performance very clearly. Their performance has been spectacular for many weeks. They haven't been losing for a long while. And I'm getting more curious about how long it will take them to lose.
Newcastle has developed into a very good team in 2022 and their last lose was in January on FA Cup and since that Newcastle has been succesfully increase their performance and undefeated until now seems new players has rapidly blended with the team and giving satisfied performance for each matches and with 10 points a head from relegated zone i'm sure they will remain at premier league this season
The set of players that they bought during the January transfer window really help them. They are not flops, they are all contributing positively to the team and the team performance. The coach is another person that has helped the team grow, almost everything that goes on in that team is because of the coach who has tirelessly worked that out,and when a team is good, almost everybody in the team will be inform and will do  well at the moment.

Noisy outside and there were problems off the pitch but it didn't affect Chelsea's performance, the proof was last night Chelsea were able to beat Norwich with a score of 3-1, although a few hours before the match started, the public was excited by the British government which froze Abramovich's assets, but Chelsea able to get 3 important points, and now they have managed to collect 56 points, and now Chelsea is still in third place in the standings.
I hope it will be fine for Chelsea and Abramovich as well. I don't know connections between Abramovich and Putin so I can not say anything about that. It's a good result for Chelsea in this chaotic time and they are secure their third position in Premier League.

There are 9 months till December so we might see some big changes until that month. Chelsea is a big club in Premier League and I hope the war will end soon as well as the resort to freeze assets of oligarchs will end soon. It needs de-escalation from Putin and Abramovich connections to Putin will be proven as nothing at all.

All the players that scored for Aston Villa had their names starting with the Alphabet as C!
Coutinho, Calum Chambers and Cash  Cool
Great game for them, as they kept clean sheet in this game.

One could see the frustrated faces of Leeds United, they're just too poor at defending so far, conceding more than Norwich.
Newcastle tonight that team is now ten points clear of the relegation zone, Chris wood scoring he's first goal for Newcastle and the back heel winner from the Newcastle signing Bruno Guimarares!
That with standing, I had a good time watching this games tonight!
Aston villa is playing very well now, in the first leg Aston villa was only able to draw with Leeds, but last night Aston villa was able to beat Leeds with a landslide score of 3-0, even now Aston villa is ranked 9th in the standings, while Newcastle even again managed to get a win, and managed to get 3 points, I am very sure that Newcastle and Aston villa next season are able to provide challenges for big clubs..

What keeps amusing about Norwich is, whenever they manage to qualify for the premier league for the season, they will end up being relegated. Now that they are at the bottom of the premier league, will they escape the relegation zone this season? The answer will be no.
The kind of level players they have is not capable enough to keep them to the next season of the premier league.
I expect to see Norwich next upper season with new quality players that are eager to keep them going on the premier league table
It is true, so difficult for Norwich to survive in the Premier League. Their game has not been enough to bring them to compete or even survive in the Premier League. I hope that if they get relegated and get the chance to play again in the Premier League, they are much better prepared than now to be able to compete with other teams here.

If Abramovič sells the club on time the restrictions will be lifted but these things usually take a lot of time - due dilligence in such cases can last more than a year.

Anyway, this will impact Chelsea in the long term - I really don't feel they can be a top 4 team anymore under these restrictions.

According to media reports, Abramovich is not permitted to sell the club at this point. I read that sanctions prevent the sale of the club as well.

As described in the NY Times: "Abramovich’s plans to sell the team were now untenable, and on hold; the club was forbidden from selling tickets or merchandise, lest any of the money feed back to its owner; and the team was prohibited — for the moment — from acquiring or selling players..."

Yes, Chelsea will not be the same no matter what happens next. The sanctions will severely restrict the club's spending and seriously undermine its ability to operate at the same level it has for the past twenty years. No doubt about it.

I think Abramovich have give up about his owner on Chelsea before take final decision to sell his club but right now on hold after suspend by British government, I think Chelsea condition right now most terrible because they can't sell ticket, jersey and club accessories. But look funny with Chelsea fans after their club on hold and have get terrible punishment they can ask to government about their club, they not try to make demonstration why their club on hold, I was sad what happen with Chelsea and British government is danger and not respect with Chelsea how many time their player give achievement for National country, if I were Abramovich I will suspend all Chelsea player for England national country team.

As many people predicted before, that Chelsea will get a win against Norwich, and it proved in this match. They can achieve maximum results by beating Norwich 3-1. Even Chelsea could have been 2 goals ahead in the first 15 minutes, I think they would have scored more than 3 goals. But Norwich could fix their weakness in those 15 minutes.

I think that in any case, a way out will be found, but all this will take at least several months. And now Chelsea are facing turbulent times and I'm afraid that in the end it may affect the results of the team, because the players and the coaching staff do not live in a separate space and this whole situation will leave its mark on all the events taking place. I also agree that Chelsea will never be the same again, because the change of owner and management is unlikely to be painless for the team and in any case will make changes to the already established system of decision-making and financing. But as they say, the holy place is never empty, and in any case, Chelsea's place will be taken by more successful and effective competitors.

They are still with a very high level of selfishness, especially for the young players. Whereas if they get rid of that and focus more on teamwork, I'm sure they'll be much better off than they are now.
Regarding strategy I believe that Ralf Rangnick has a myriad of strategies to implement. But it all must be supported by the players who play. They really need to clean up before anything worse happens.
The improvements to the team must be carried out as a whole, both from the coach's side and even more so from the players. Maybe at this time, they can't focus too much on developing themselves or implementing new strategies because of the adaptability of the match. However, this shouldn't be a problem because after every match there will be an evaluation. And this evaluation is used as material for future matches, implemented by considering what the opponent will look like in the future. The role of the coach is very big here. However, again, when the players are not solid and not too focused on the direction of the coach, any strategy will definitely not be optimal. Actually, I am concerned about the good players who are already quite solid but are not supported by other players.

Eddie Howe has truly did well at Newcastle the board really did well in there decision to bring him onboard,I remember that immediately the take over when Steve Bruce was sack, rumours were going round that is only a big name coach that can save Newcastle not to get relegated, they did go for big names coach like, Antonio Conte, Zidane but look now, Eddie did the job.
Even though Newcastle played under pressure with Southampton but the players were strong enough in defense and also the attack was deadly which made the opponent concede even more, but indeed Eddie Howe did a good job over the last few games Newcastle have come back slowly and I think they can be in in the middle table later.
So I was a little doubtful about the game Newcastle would win but the result was amazing with that win even though it was a goal behind Southampton at first.

The goal market is actually the best of options to pick out for a bet today in the EPL today, it was a goal feast and all the fixtures made the most of it. All games played over 2.5 goals and non registered a draw.

Chelsea did good today by beating Norwich City just as they should, I'm sure they are reminded of how close Arsenal is behind them and should they want to keep there spot on the league, its just a matter of tightening loosed ends. Arsenal has got 2 unplaced games and as such, should Chelsea, it could bring the shift but, I don't see that happening.

Steven Gerrard is gradually building Aston Villa into an elite team. With this quality of play, Aston Villa is hoped to be placed somewhere at the top of the league next season.

There is something magical going on at Newcastle. A while ago it looked hopeless, but since the takeover by that rich sheik, something magical has arisen. They have of course already been able to bring in a few good players, but they are now continuing to string together the points. A while ago they really had to fight against relegation, but that seems to be one less worry now.

What Chelsea can and cannot do under sanction
News

They can:

Pay the wages, allowances and pensions of all employees of the Club, including players, coaching, corporate and administrative staff

Pay fees, dividends or other allowances to directors of the Club except Roman

Continue the payment necessary for the ongoing regular maintenance of the Club and the Club’s grounds, including rates, council tax, other taxes, insurance building safety inspection costs, energy costs and other maintenance costs associated with the maintenance of the Club’s ground and training grounds

Pay reasonable costs of travel to and from fixtures for players and essential staff including costs for security staff, travel agencies or contractors. These costs include travel, accommodation and subsistence costs, but may not exceed £20,000 per game

Make payments for the hosting of fixtures, including security, stewarding, emergency services and catering, not exceeding the value of £500,000 per fixture

Sell food and drink at Stamford Bridge during fixtures

Continue to make inter-club payments for existing player loan and sale agreements

    Receive payments from match broadcasts

Receive fees from EFA, PL, and UEFA for league performance

Continue to sell existing merchandise through third parties (eg Nike) where they already have a contract

Be sold to a new owner with a special dispensation, provided Roman does not benefit financially from it

They cannot:

Sell merchandise through the Chelsea physical or online stores

Produce new merchandise unless there was an existing agreement per-sanction

Sell new tickets to home or away matches. Existing ticket holders can continue to attend, including season ticket holders and those who have already purchased a ticket

Pay for new stadium capital works or refurbishments

Buy, sell, loan, transfer, or otherwise enter any agreement for players (current players cannot be re-contracted, and new players cannot be bought)

    Sign or re-contract sponsorships

The key part in the license: "Any funds which the Club receives must be frozen due to the asset freeze on (Roman)". While Chelsea will continue to receive revenue from existing agreements, they cannot use it.

The current license to operate is effective immediately until May, after which it expires. It can be reviewed and renewed again.

tl;dr existing contracts will be honored, incoming funds will be frozen. They cannot enter any NEW financial agreements. The license will be reviewed again in May. Roman can still sell Chelsea under special dispensation but he cannot profit from it - effectively a 3B loss. If Roman doesn't sell and Chelsea runs out of money, they will go into administration.

Just like an anchor on the sea bed, Norwich is now settled on the bottom of the EPL table, relegation is sure for them now just like Watford. One more club for relegation and Everton, Burnley and leeds are looking like the candidates, even not too safe for Brentford. Games this weekend i think will determine who goes relegated are the Brentford vs Burnley,  Leeds vs Norwich, Southampton vs Watford. Everton is not a team i'll like to see relegated, so hopefully they should win their game against the Wolves.
