It's true Liverpool could have won yesterday's match by more than 2 goals as they had enough chances to do so. But in an important match like yesterday I don't think the number of goals should always be pursued because maintaining the chance to get the full 3 points until the end of the match is the most important thing compared to scoring more goals.

Even if we look at this match, actually Schmeichel played quite well and if he wasn't the Leicester goalkeeper, I think Leicester would have conceded more than 2.
There were several attempts by Arnold and Salah in this match but Schmeichel did play quite well.
Besides, with this victory, Liverpool is closer to City and further from Chelsea.
Their 1 game advantage should be put to good use now because indeed they are on a pretty good track at the moment

Man Utd SHOULD beat Southampton because they spend far more money on players & pay much higher wages. As we all know though, football doesn’t work like that. Saints are in good form & Man Utd are in trouble. It seems lots of Man Utd players don’t work hard enough & put in too little effort. I really wouldn’t be surprised if Southampton win this one.

If Manutd dont solve the deffensives problem they are facing from 2 seasons ago, they still strgling vs whatever teams are in front.
And for this your fowards have low morale imagine you putting 2/3 goals and conceed 4 its hilariuos.

In addition after the winning vs Totenham the Saints have a high morale. So i think its very difficult to see a result here. Anyone can win

You also need to know that Southamton has a chance to beat Manchester United like when Tottenham lost 2-3 yesterday. But maybe it will be different because yesterday Southampton played at home, and tomorrow they will play at Old Trafford. Obviously Manchester United in terms of quality will win but considering they are not stable enough then we can think of other possibilities about the final result.

Liverpool succeeded and putting constant pressure throughout the game and that was enough to get 3 points out of this heavy fixture in this gameweek. It was Schemeichel who saved lot of shots against Liverpool otherwise I am pretty sure that the scoreline would have been massive for Liverpool. Attack should have been better and should have put some pressure and keep the game balanced by scoring some goals. Signing of Luis Diaz is starting to show good signs so really working out well for Liverpool now.

They surprisely secured 7 points in their last 3 premier league matches. While, Chelsea have to belt up and probably avoid losing points. Although, they are 7 points ahead of West Ham on the standings. They won't be easily overtaken.

They were unfortunate to make some addition during the January transfer window.

Burnley were very lucky in the match against Arsenal and Manchester United, but this cannot last forever, especially since your remark is correct, Liverpool's attack is stronger and they will certainly be able to convert their chances into goals scored. But the odds of 1.25 are small, and betting on handicap + on Burnley vs Liverpool is too risky.

Liverpool are stronger than Manchester United in both attacking and defense. Manchester United have some world class players but in general and as a whole team, they are worse than Liverpool in both systems.

Salah and Mane just came back from Africa tournament so they might not be too ready physically and need a bit more time to recover their full fitness. However, even so I believe that Liverpool will still be able to play better than Manchester United because their mental is better and more important, their system operates more smoothly than that of Manchester United.
