For the fourth place in the standings, I also think that Manchester United and Tottenham are bigger favourites. Above all else, Tottenham have more games missing than all of the teams in the race for this place. But they still are two points behind the fourth team which are Manchester United now. If Tottenham take advantage of this in the best way possible, then they can even have a decent gap with the others when they play their missing games. But honestly, I'd still like to see the Manchester team there at the end of the season.

The race for the last spot of top 4 will be keenly contested between Tottenham, Arsenal, West Ham and Man Utd, Arsenal who should have been tip to clinch the spot are very inconsistent in their performances, despite the fact that they are out of every competitions, except they up their game in their remaining EPL matches else they may end up qualifying for Europa league,
Arteta is relying on Lacazette and Nketia as their main striker till the end of the season which is reasonable considering the fact that Arsenal has 17 EPL matches till end of the season.
Arsenal still has the same chance. if Arteta can stabilize Arsenal's game on a winning trend. because there is news in the team, there is a tension that makes the team's game less good.
maybe Arteta should be more selective in choosing players in the main and reserve squads. because actually, Arsenal has good players. they can enter in the top 4 if they finish the remaining games until the end of the season well.
Honestly Tottenham or Manchester United have a higher chance of making the top four spot than Arsenal and Westham United. They have a bigger squad to adjust to the pressure that would come with the second phase of the league. Tottenham let go of some of their players who were not having much game time, like Tanguy Ndombele, Lo Celso, Dele Alli and Bryan Gil. They knew that these players will leave and they needed some replacement to booster their squad amidst their challenge for the top four, they got some players like Bentacur and Kulesevski. Arsenal just lost out about 6-7 of their players and refused to sign. How will they be able to cope when this fatigue and injury set in on the first team players. I don't see them even making the top 6.

And we can't forget about Wolves. They have been playing very well this season. And it comes from a good series of games without losing. If they beat Arsenal, they can overtake them on the leaderboard.

The Wolves are in good form now, and the Wolves' past record against Arsenal is very good. The Wolves have won their last two matches against Arsenal. They have won both the matches 2-1. That's why I won't bet on Arsenal winning this match. My guess is the match will be a draw.

Mathematically, Wolves still have the possibility of reaching fourth place. I don't think they will get that far, but they will fight for a spot in the European competitions next season. That's why it's a team to consider, given the excellent work that Bruno Lage has done at the helm of the team.

The Wolves are just 3 points behind fifth-placed West Ham in the points table. West Ham has played two more games than the Wolves. The points difference between the fourth and eighth teams in the table is very small. So at any time these teams can change their position in the points table. Even each team has the ability to stay in fourth place in points.

Even now Arsenal are still above Tottenham although indeed, at the moment they have the same points. But that doesn't mean Arsenal have lost their chance to get back in 4th place because with the rest of the season continuing, of course they will continue to compete and will not give in. So yes, the battle for rank 4 will likely continue, no matter tomorrow they get a win or lose, because I believe they are still difficult to be consistent so they will continue to overtake each other.

I believe Newcastle cannot build their dream team as quickly as turning the palm of the hand as they will have to adapt over several seasons to attract top players. One of the most decisive is the presence of a top coach at Newcastle and if they already have it then it is not impossible that some of the top players are currently willing to work with them.
There are many barriers for their dream.
- The European football now have a few rich clubs: Chelsea, Manchester City, PSG rather than only Chelsea 10 to 15 years ago. So now Newcastle will have to fight with other rich clubs to buy best players.
- Currently they don't have a good team which is reflected on their results so that star players will hesitate to join them. It is very different than Chelsea because under first years of Abramovich and Ranieri, Chelsea are in top of Premier League and have some good achievements in Champions League as well. Manchester City did not stuck in delegation area like Newcastle now.

Quote
Apart from that I also don't think that the money they invested in buying some players will be wasted this season because they are players who are expected to help the team stay in the Premier League next season. Newcastle will certainly have to be careful with transfers if they don't want huge losses should they have to fail in the end. There are 17 more match for them left this season so let's see what they do.
Newcastle will have to sacrifice 2 to 3 seasons to build up from scratch to above average then moving higher to top clubs of Premier League. I meant this period might take up to 5 or 10 years. It does not easy to achieve because all above reasons or even more reasons.

Another bad barrier for Newcastle is more strict regulations on club finance and transfer balance than easier ones around 10 to 20 years ago. So even Newcastle are ready to spend huge budget for transfer and salary, they will have to do it slowly and less seriously than what Chelsea, PSG, Manchester City did years ago.

I read news that one of the younger Man United players has problems with the justice(sexual assault).
I hope that Mason Greenwood will be punished by the law severely,if he is found guilty.
if that proves to be possible it could be a young retirement for him. Man United's young players look selfish in team play. several times we can see the disappointment in other players. even the news also appeared in the media. Greenwood is a good player and still young. it's a shame he can't control his emotions and play more calmly. when he can play well and not be selfish for his own goals, I think Man United this season can be better.

I'm hearing rumors that there was severe tension between Aubameyang and Arteta and this is the main reason for selling Aybameyang to Barcelona.Perhaps without him,the situation inside the team of Arsenal will improve, but I still don't believe that Mikel Arteta is the manager, who will make Arsenal successful.
Arsenal needs a new manager.
I'm not impressed with the first few games of Ralf Rangnick as a manager of Manchester United.Perhaps Man United will find their best condition in the beginning of the new season.

Arsenal have only the Premier League left now. They have been eliminated from the EFL Cup and FA Cup so far. And their goal must be qualifying for the Champions League. They are strong enough to make it actually but they have really tough rivals aiming the same thing now. Hence, they will have to focus on playing more effective than them to achieve their goal. Arsenal are having a much greater season than the previous one now. They should be able to benefit from it somehow or it would really be a big disappointment for them after bringing the things here by fighting hard.
I would say Arsenal are not doing anything spectacular this season. I mean, they play and play, they don't make any noise in public and they don't produce any furore. Maybe that's good for them and in that way without the psychological pressure from the crowd they will achieve a result - getting into the Champions League, but I also can't say that this season they are playing weak, very well.
Arsenal's focus should mainly be on how to make It to the Champions League next season. Although, they are presently at the 6th place, which means they have to secure more points in order to slide up on the standings. However, I was expecting Arsenal to probably sign a good striker as an replacement after loaning out Aubameyang to Barcelona at least to strengthen their squad. But unfortunately the transfer window closed without them signing in any new striker. And this might affect their performance.

Newcastle targets this season is to stay in the Premier League the highest caste, because they have only collected 15 points from 21 matches and are still struggling to get out of the relegation zone. Newcastle suddenly became a rich club after being acquired by the prince of Saudi Arabia (Mohammed bin Salman), with the wealth they have Newcastle managed to bring in a number of players to save them from relegation. Newcastle's transformation further adds to the Premier League competition for the next few seasons, Newcastle need time to form their team with a number of world-class star players, Chelsea and Manchester City have done the same a few years ago. It's quite exciting to see the Premier League inhabited by big teams, they are Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal and Newcastle will compete to be the best in the world's number 1 league.

Still not done yet and Newcastle United have 17 match left and I think is not any guarantee to said keep exist on Primer League next season, I think not really surprise with Newcastle United player transfer, spent almost £90million but not any potential player success arrive on St James' Park except with Kieran Trippier come from with bigger club Atletico Madrid and he has many games with England as his national country. Newcastle United just spent much money to buy not popular player with their achievement like Chris Wood have to pay transfer values above £25m and he was over age on 30 years olds.

In football, there is no such official concept as deserving and everything should be decided exclusively on the football field and a place in the standings. Whoever takes a place higher in the standings at the end of the season will take a place in the next season of the Champions League, the third is not given Wink
Well, at least we all know about that clearly. But we are talking about probabilities and other possibilities based on team performance which may differ.

Undoubtedly, Arsenal is having a pretty good season, especially considering how bad the start of this season was, but it is still difficult to call him the undisputed favorite in the battle for a place in the Champions League. It is also difficult to call Tottenham or Manchester United favorites, and much of this depends on the club preferences of the person expressing his opinion.
Of course, Arsenal have managed to improve their form so far after we all doubted them at the start of the season. I also don't think Tottenham and Manchester United are favourites, but Conte can make Tottenham better than Arsenal or Manchester United. I'm not a Tottenham fan, but I know Conte is one coach who can improve the performance of the team he coaches for the better.

Yes, Arsenal still has a chance to get a ticket to the Champions League next season, but it won't be easy because there are 3 big teams that also have the potential to occupy 4th place (Chelsea, Man United, and Tottenham). Arsenal started the season badly, even at that time Mikel Arteta was already rumored to be sacked. Fortunately, Arsenal can overcome their slump. They are now on the right track, so Arsenal just needs to play consistently and hope that no player gets injured.

New players brought in must make a good contribution to the team so that Newcastle can get out of the relegation zone. Newcastle  status changed 180 degrees after being acquired by the prince of Saudi Arabia, the status of a rich team was attached to Newcastle. It is very difficult to imagine that Newcastle will not be able to get out of the relegation zone, because they have to play in the 2nd tier (Championsip) of the Premier League next season. Hopefully that doesn't happen.
Things are not done yet and they still have a chance to improve their form in the rest of the season. I'm sure Newcastle can stay in the Premier League next season, but it must also be supported by contributions and a better team performance. So far they have only collected 15 points from 21 match, so there is a chance to get out of that zone now.

Apart from Newcastle, there are several other teams who are trying to get out of the relegation zone after a series of bad results that befell them. If you ask me which team will stay among the current 5 teams then Newcastle is my choice over the other 4 teams including Norwich, Everton, Burnley and Watford.

Newcastle were very active in the January transfer market and managed to bring in 5 new players. Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood, Bruno Guimaraes,
Matt Targett and Dan Burn are the players Newcastle have signed. These five players are expected to make Newcastle escape from the relegation zone,
if we look at the quality of the players that Newcastle bought, I honestly doubt it. Even though Newcastle have been linked with Keylor Navas
and Dean Henderson, but in the end Newcastle failed to bring in a new goalkeeper, and still rely on Martin Dubravka, who has been Newcastle's
goalkeeper for the last 4 years. I want to see how Newcastle perform with the arrival of these 5 players, Newcastle next week will face Everton.
Maybe the match against Everton can be used as an assessment, whether new Newcastle players can make a big contribution to Newcastle or not.

If Arsenal only relies on Nketiah and Lacazette that is possible for the Champion League zone hard to be attained. Lyon also wants Lacazete back, in this case, Arsenal only has 1 striker on the front. when still don't find who can replace them, Arteta must try another formation to fill up the forward. the only way method is pushing Smith Rowe a bit forward and changing the midfielder formation or calling back Morata and Isak.
Competition in Premier League is very tight and Arsenal will be in trouble if they depend on one or two key players. So far, they are in good position and have achieved good things but in order to end in top 4, it is challenging mission and if they fail to replace those players just in bad situations like injuries, long or short term, suspensions, etc. they will have some bad matches or bad streak which will seriously affect their result very negatively.

Lacazette lost his important after Aubameyang joined Arsenal but now he is getting this back. This season is the best one for Lacazette in Arsenal last 3 to 4 years. Arsenal again have another very young and good team.

I'm curious about what Arsenal will do after sending Aubameyang. I guess that they are not planning to fill his place with another centre-forward for now. But if I were in their place, I would have signed a striker before the end of the transfer window. Because they have only Lacazette and Nketiah as strikers right now. And Lacazette is having a terrible season. He scored only three goals in sixteen games. This is a big problem for the team and their not taking an action about this can cause them to be in a problematic condition on the remaining weeks of the league.
Mikel Arteta and Edu are clueless, just want to get rid of this guy without getting anything, no signing of replacement.
I'm looking at all the players Arsenal let go this window, how are they supposed to compete? They've got like 7 total defenders. Expecting them to drop off heavily from where they are. The previous months have ultimately proven there is a clear reliance on Saka and fellow academy product Emile Smith Rowe to produce the goods going forward. Because in the centre-forward role, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah have not been scoring enough despite plenty of minutes on the pitch. With both forwards less than six months away from their respective contracts expiring. It is a very big risk fighting the top 4 spot without a new striker.
I definitely agree with you on this. Arsenal can't put up a solid fight for the fourth position in the league standings by not adding a new striker to the team. They just can't make do with the two players I mentioned above. Nketiah is not an impressive player. And Lacazette is far away from his old times now. He wouldn't do much good in the rest of the season. If Arsenal signed a good striker now, then I would have favoured them to make it to the fourth position maybe. But it seems really difficult to think so now. Manchester United are more likely than them for example.

So far, its just a single slot left and that is, the 4th place and Arsenal is more than capable to take over that slot. They've been more impressive compared with the 3 other teams in the likes of Manchester United that now occupies the spot, West Ham United and Tottenham. Its not going to be an easy game at all as all four teams knows the value of this spot and with Arsenal now solely focused on the EPL haven't been eliminated from other leagues, they should do even more better.
With there Chelsea fixture being postponed, they should have better luck with Brentford to better position themselves on the league. Hopefully, they won't overrated themselves and be surprised by Brentford.
Maybe not, I think Tottenham are much more deserving of that place than Arsenal. You cannot expect Arsenal to secure 4th place this season when other teams like Tottenham, Manchester United, West Ham and Wolves still have chances to win more match. It's true that Arsenal are now better, but they haven't been able to win many match against top teams.
We know the Premier League is not finished because there are still many match that have not been played, this will provide an opportunity for several teams to secure 1 Champions League ticket next season including Arsenal.
