With such performance from Tottenham today I think arsenal will found them to easy to play. Tottenham really needs to support Antonio Conte in this winter transfer window because they really need it. Emerson can not play in the EPL he has not reached that standard  yet. Spurs are still lacking a top center half to pair with Christian Romero and Eric Dier. They needs another striker to support Harry Kane.
Harry Kane and Son are very good strikers. I'm undecided if more forwards are needed for Tottenham. I think they can sell Harry Kane and make significant reinforcements elsewhere in the team. Tottenham is not as successful as in the past. I agree with you about Romero and Dier.
Both Son and kane are great strickers But the both play different wings. Tottenham is a great club but they are yet to build upon what they have. I wasn't expecting the win from Chelsea playing away against Tottenham. Arsenal might be the favorite in their next match against Tottenham.  But it's really sad having such a great team and lacking the managerial ethics to make it what it is meant to be

Yes that's the truth, having a lot of star players is still not enough for Manchester United to be consistent and even, in that game I bet on Aston Villa but yes, it was a loss for me too. Although Manchester United have changed coaches several times, but so far there has been no suitable coach or they still need time, which of course will be a long process. As for Aston Villa after bringing in Gerrard as coach, at least Aston Villa can consistently win if the opponent they face is not a top team.

Even though UTD won, I'm not quite happy with the result. Even Ragnick is also not able to make them consistent. They have so many talented players like CR7, Cavani, Pogba, Bruno, Rashford, and Martial and yet the only guy the score is McTominay that too in the 8th minute (by luck I'd say ).

AVL on the other hand has changed drastically under Gerrard and if they can utilize Countinho to his best potential, they can be better. I think that United's midfield needs a revamp as CR7 or Cavani is not getting enough supply from the midfield. They need someone like Modric or Iniesta (not them, but someone of their caliber) who can dictate the game from the midfield.

No one following FA Cup and noticing that Arsenal got kicked by the 9th championship team? and that ManU passed with 1 goal vs Aston Villa and that McTominay scored Roll Eyes
We will have a mixture of EPL games with EFL Cup matches between Liverpool and Arsenal then Spurs and Chelsea then 3 day later Chelsea will face City and Spurs will face Arsenal. Pretty pressured schedule there Undecided

Probably because this is Premier League thread, not a cup thread. Most cup competitions have their unique threads, I don't know if FA Cup have one. Arsenal's loss was a big blow though.

FA Cup thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/the-emirates-fa-cup-season-20212022-5368690

I used to watch FA cups but I find it just a distraction these days. Top Premier League teams do not even see it as a priority since they only send their second tier teams to compete most of the time. It's also not surprising when they lose to Championship teams because of that.
The FA cup used to be a more serious and competitive competition for the EPL teams, where you have arsenal who  consistently dominated the FA cup years back before falling short, but now reverse has been the case. And it is not only in England, other top football playing countries don’t really see their cup matches as a serious games to play since they have both their various domestic leagues, champions league and maybe Europa league to battle with other big dogs for. This is why smaller teams sometimes do have a upper hand in winning some big teams in such cup games. Take Arsenal lost to Nott Forest for example, Arsenal were actually clueless in that match, having no shot on target. As for me I think the domestic  cup games of the big leagues should be a priority as well in other to make it more competitive and interesting.

After yesterday's game between Chelsea and Tottenham I think Tottenham have a lot to do via transfer because they are not good enough to compete for the top four with players that are not committed or good enough, players like Doherty, Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele are occupying space in that team they are not committed to the club... people like Emerson Royal, Sanchez are not good enough to be first team players in the spurs squad they are suppose to be in the second eleven that's why I we say if levy do not support Conte in this winter transfer I think he is wasting his time and Conte might leave the job and go before his contact end
I believe Daniel Levi the current chairman of Tottenham should be blamed for lack of quality players in the club, he has the opportunity of selling Harry Kane worth €100K to Man City last season, had they sold him, the club would have enough fund to buy three to four quality players into the team combining with likes of Son and Moura also making the team formidable enough to compete at the highest level, the current squad isn't formidable to make top 4 this season though Conte had been trying to make club strong and up their game.

hmph..
Till mid-season, I thought that it was going to be Chelsea who will win the league this season but somehow Man City crawled up the table and now they have a huge 10 points lead from 2nd placed Chelsea.

Even Chelsea are on a dry run. They only won 1 out of their last 5 matches and drew the rest four - only gaining 7 points in 5 matches but you know, City didn't drop any point in the same timeline. I don't see them not winning this season's trophy and the question would be, by how much big of a margin will they win?

IMO, the ones who have a chance to win this season are Liverpool and Man City. Even though City are currently 10 points gap from 2nd place, there is still a long way to go, and there is still a possibility for Liverpool to become a team that can challenge City this season. of course, this is not big potential for Liverpool, but there is still hope. For Chelsea, maybe we have to see a few more games, whether they are still worthy in the race for the title or not.

I think Manchester City after the draw of Chelsea and Liverpool is quite away now and it would take a miracle to happen for them to lose the Premier League.
Apparently, funny enough, they had to crawl all the way up unnoticed and now, they are not just stayed at the top @Manchester City and with some significant point difference between Manchester City and Liverpool who could have been viewed for a rival. With just a hand full of games left, I doubt anyone still hopes for any surprises in the league over the league trophy. Manchester City isn't the kind of team that plays around very much.

In the EFL yesterday, it was a Spurs 0-1 Chelsea  that pushed Chelsea unto the finals, today is going to be Liverpool vs Arsenal. I don't see Arsenal having much of a chance in this game. Its going to be a Chelsea vs Liverpool.

I think Chelsea will win it. The only issue I can see with Chelsea at the moment is that the frontline don't seem to be gelling well, but this is natural when you've got such a unique player like Lukaku being forced in. As the season goes on, I can only see this improving. Speaking of big Rom, he's been sublime, even when he's not scoring. Chillwell scored that worldie against Brentford because he had space free'd up by Brentford being paranoid of Lukaku.

This is what I do. I drink and I know things.
The Chelsea squad did great yesterday, everyone seems to be fit, the greatest flop Marcos Alonso as well is now fit.
They can hold Manchester City down with the kind of performance they displayed yesterday... If they put up such tommorow they can get something good a great result, I really don't want to see Manchester city win the premier league back to back.

Indeed yesterday Chelsea proves that it's one of the top teams at the moment, although I was expected to score more than one goal. However, Man City isn't Tottenham and they are also in great form plus the game will be on Etihad Stadium. If Chelsea wants the title, needs to take the win on Saturday's clash.

Liverpool against Arsenal tonight, what's your possible tips for the game.

Since this is EFL and nothing is certain regarding first liners, I would probably wait until they are announced and then decide. Most likely though they will both attack from the start (especially Liverpool) so I believe that we will see more than 2+ goals in general.

The team mentally been poor lately, talk about Rashford and I'll say he's useless, Bruno Fernandez hasn't contributed a whole lot as he did last season and year.
I don't know why I'm.not comfortable with the current formation of the Coach Ralhf Rangnick.
The midfielder's Manchester United has are not just quality enough, no player want to play for them at the point in time, even with Cristiano Ronaldo everything still poor.

Rashford and Bruno are very talented. I don't think anyone has any doubts about their skills. There are very few talented players like them. The main reason why Manchester United are playing bad is that the players are not friendly with each other. All the players in the squad are talented and efficient. Their performance is weakening only because the bonding is not good. Also the players could not adapt to their current formation. The coach should have changed the formation. Maybe Manchester United will have to change coaches again soon.

Last match on FA Cup Manchester United success defeat Aston Villa 1-0 but I think is not easy on this week at primer league competition, Aston Villa as the best team after take by Steven Gerard as manager, additional with new transfer player Coutinho from Barcelona will give more option as formation for Gerrard and make Aston Villa more solid again. I think Manchester United is not consistent team on every match, some time win and other time loss three points and ever playing draw, just still weakness from Manchester United is never success made more than three goal on every match.
Manchester United's victory over Aston Villa in the FA yesterday was nothing more than luck in my opinion. Even though it's difficult and some may disagree with me, but that's what I have to say. In defense, Man United is lucky to have a goalkeeper like David De Gea, because in almost every game he is able to thwart every opponent's attack.
Up front, there are actually a lot of classy players, for example Ronaldo. But the supply of balls given from behind is monotonous, nothing to really spoil their attackers. What I see from the Solskjaer era, then Carrick and now Rangnick hasn't changed significantly.
Yea I watch the game, Manchester United were very luck because Aston villa were not clinical in front of goals and de gea made lots of good saves from that game.watkins shows through out the game that Manchester United does not have a defender in Lendelof, how can a premier League defender lack pace and stamina.when coutinho start playing I think Aston villa will be outstanding.

There are only two days to go for the Manchester City vs Chelsea game. This is going to be the most interesting and remarkable game for me also. This is directly related to the fight for the title and Manchester City have a big advantage in the league standings already now. Chelsea must show their best ever performance to be able to beat Manchester City and drop the point gap with them to 7. In case Manchester City win or draw with them, they will be even closer to the title.

The arrival of some new players to aston villa will certainly give new power to aston villa, especially since countinho will be able to change the aston villa midfield later, I think gerrard already understands the style of play manchester after the FA Cup defeat yesterday and maybe he has found a solution to dampen the Manchester game later and I think maybe a different result will be obtained by Manchester in the match later, yes it does look Manchester now has not been consistent enough after the arrival of the new coach.

It is nice seeing West Ham getting back on track and winning games like they used to in the beginning of Premier League.Although they were playing against the weakest team in the Premier League this year in such competition where anything can happen they showed good gameplay and could have won the game even with some more goals difference.I think Manchester City after the draw of Chelsea and Liverpool is quite away now and it would take a miracle to happen for them to lose the Premier League.
