Looks like we will see the possibility of delaying some matches this week, after the tottenham and manchester united matches were postponed, now some other matches are also experiencing the same thing, maybe this is a natural thing for delays due to covid.
But I am a bit confused whether the new schedule Clubs that are currently postponed will get a tight match schedule as well, such as the current Boxing Day match where many clubs have to play 3 times in just 9 days, or will the team whose matches are postponed will get the usual schedule, which is playing once a week?
Perhaps I don't see as many postponed matches in any championship as in the Premier League. It's very strange why this is happening, why in England there is such a high level of infected football players? I think that on the schedule of games this will have a very significant effect, especially for those teams that play in Eurocups. And I doubt that the championship will be extended, it will need to be completed within a certain time frame, which means that will be a very busy schedule, with a heavy workload for the players.
This week there are five Premier League matches that will be postponed due to the soaring number of COVID-19 cases and many players, staff and coaches who have tested positive for COVID-19. Apart from the Manchester United vs Brighton Albion match which had to be postponed, there were remaining matches that experienced the same thing and had to be postponed. including Southampton vs Brentford, Watford vs Crystal Palace, West Ham United vs Norwich City and Everton v Leicester City. Of course the weekend is not good, especially for fans who want to watch their favorite club on the weekend.

I would say that the game was a lot closer than the 3-1 at the end because teams were not really that much of a dominant against each other whereas 3-1 looks like LFC would be a lot more dominant. Newcastle obviously is a bad team and obviously Liverpool had a very easy win, but the first goal shouldn't have been accepted if you ask me, it was looking a lot more like it was something very dangerous could happened there and by pure luck it was just a "goal" and that's it, injury risk was there. Second goal was just a pure mistake from defense and LFC took advantage of that, the only goal that was actually a decent goal that was awesome to watch was from Trent and that's it.
Even Newcastle is still the worst team in English Premier League but good thing now they are having some good breaths in last few matches, still very long way to go for surviving into Premier League as life is not easy for new management with coach and team have to done very hard work in last match against Liverpool they lost with score of 3 - 1 but still many positive things coming from this team which will be helpful for them in next matches.

Chelsea having bad time as they are losing points consistently which is creating big gape between them and top two teams, they need to be some more aggressive for next matches as Premier League is heading for very interesting end because of Manchester City and Liverpool top level performance for this year's title.

Liverpool can always beat Newcastle from any direction, whether from behind, front or sideways. The momentum is high and Liverpool fireball is rolling toward the throne of 21/22 Champion of EPL. Nothing is going to stop them now. I have said it before, No team can match their force. I was not even seeing Newcastle United winning this game. I played Liverpool to win and over 2.5 goals. I knew that Newcastle United couldn't win at Anfield. Nobody does win there or even play a draw. Team which mean business go always score and even eager to score more, not like Chelsea FC that will score now and the next minute it is equalized and back to default setting again.

If I have not misunderstood four games of the next day of the Premier League have been canceled and meetings are in progress to evaluate whether to postpone the round completely and not just this round.

Covid cases have increased a lot and we are around 80,000 cases per day.
The current Covid spread looks scary, postponing the upcoming matches is the right decision for sure. I really appreciate the fast response made by the governments and competition committee of EPL league (FA). Precautions need to take, so it doesn't endanger players, coaches, and all parties involved during the matches. 80,000 cases is a large number of covid spread, so we can understand if the upcoming matches will be postponed or the competition will be stopped temporarily.

As a form of government effort, this is clearly understandable but not with the affected clubs.  Many media reports said that the match was not postponed in its entirety and would be continued with several considerations such as the ability of the club itself.  However this is for the common good although fans will be a little disappointed.

Of course it will be very unfortunate considering the holiday season will soon come at the end of the year. We can't blame anyone for this, but how can vaccinations not work so well for prevention? Also is 80,000 per day only in England?

postpone of matches is much better than the government having to take bigger risks as cases rise. The Bundesliga does not allow spectators into the stadium, there are only players and staff on the pitch so perhaps this can also be expected in the Premier League without too many postpone.

As far as i currently see only 2 matches are being played tommorow and those are Aston Villa vs Burnley and Leeds vs Arsenal.
But i wouldnt be shocked if all those matches are postponed aswell, who knows for how long this will last this time but its serious.

Manchester City under Guardiola's coaching is fantastic in terms of scoring goals. During the period of Guardiola being their coach, it has been 500 goals. This is a positive result for Guardiola, and City deserves to keep for more season. Guardiola very amazing to made his team so productive to score in every matches.

Guardiola is a great coach. He wanted to form a stable team. And he got it. Manchester City are a stable enough team. All the players on the team can perform tremendously in their place. Guardiola has an extraordinary squad, as well as his match strategy is too much good. Manchester City can perform well against a strong team due to good match strategy.
Yes we admit that guardiola so far have had good performances in manchester city, but I don't think it's entirely from guardiola greatness so far, we know that manchester city is a rich team and it's easy for them to sign any player that Guardiola likes, according to To me, it is actually the power of Manchester City money that is able to make Guardiola successful in forming a good team, if Guardianola is still coaching Barcelona who is currently experiencing financial problems, I think of course Guardiola will not be able to revive Barcelona.

I do not agree with you. Manchester City. Definitely a rich club. But spending money alone does not make you strong. Examples include PSG and Manchester United. PSG have spent a lot of money to build the team, but despite having a lot of star players in the team, their performance is not as good as expected. Manchester United's performance in the Premier League is very poor. So I think Guardiola's contribution is a lot behind Manchester City's good performance.

If they can keep their position until the end of the season, Manchester City can be champions and the next opponent is Newcastle which I think Manchester City will get full points.
and but Liverpool will not stay silent because it is only 1 point difference so there is still a possibility to overtake him and the most important thing is that both teams for the next match do not draw or lose. It looks like Manchester City and Liverpool will compete tightly until the end of the competition.

Well, that's how the competition that we hoped for, the closer to the end of the season, the more intense the tempo of the competition. In fact, this will be a pretty fun betting event for those of us who are ready to bet that 2 clubs qualify for the semi-finals. Without omitting Chelsea, we also hope that they can follow suit with the most prestigious top 3 rankings in the Premier League.

I think Guardiola wants this itself as much as the club and as long as the team is all right he'll be able to work in city. And after so much time I can't even imagine who could be better than him for the club.
Manchester City can win the trophy if they can keep the points and keep going without losing again. So extending the points does not provide a gap for Liverpool. The reason, the position of the two clubs will continue to chase each other in the next few matches. Will not waste the remaining opportunities. It was their last capital to reach the top. At the end of the season, this League will definitely show each other maximum performance and no other club wants to be preceded. When Manchester City massacred Leeds, it was used as the subject of a goal-scoring show. And this Sunday Manchester City are getting ready to bring Newcastle back down.

What's out guys I once predicted Chelsea to be in trouble, I think they are really in trouble, they had to beg for a draw against Everton, now I think tuchel isn't ready to win the English premier league, Even if he has won the UEFA champions league with Chelsea the premier league is very different, Chelsea need to understand that you don't think bor basks on last victory or loss every game is a new opportunity to overtake someone or let someone overtake you if Chelsea continues like this they may not even be close to the English premier league top four.
Chelsea are only a little in this problem at all not a bad game but indeed Chelsea have often been held to a draw by the opponent and couldn't be won until the end of the game Tuchel knows how they have to work in order to improve players but indeed this is still a process in this season .
When some players have started to recover like Lukaku, Kante, Werner then they can be a recovery I think Tuchel hopes the players can recover again soon.

Man City has been the most consistent club in term of performance compared to other clubs in EPL, Guordiola tutored side has gone seven wins in a row without a defeat in the league, this is highly commendable, the first team is full of quality players as well as the reserve, however winning the UCL is the only trophy that has eluded the team having failed to win it last year fortunately lost to Chelsea, I believe Guordiola will give it another trial in wining the coveted trophy this season.

It's always man city favourite ever since pep's been there and boom they will have one performance that will easily knock them out of this tournament.  Football is great but with its so funny everybody's discounting liverpool and also Bayern to some extent

Do you mean to win the Champions League? This is likely, at least Chelsea has the same chances as the rest of the main contenders. If you mean getting into the Champions League next year, then there is nothing to worry about - Chelsea will not drop below 4th place 100%.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City points are not so far apart, they only need 1-2 game results to be able to shift each other's positions. I agree with you, Chelsea still has the potential to be in the Top 3 even though at the moment they are not in good form.
~

Chelsea has the potential to win the EPL, but there is no potential to drop below 4th place - that's my point. I don't know what should happen for Chelsea to lose such a huge head start and some team outside the top 4 could compete with it. The 9 point handicap is a huge advantage as the top teams rarely lose points.

if Guardianola is still coaching Barcelona who is currently experiencing financial problems, I think of course Guardiola will not be able to revive Barcelona.

I don't think anyone can revive Barcelona at the moment. All they can do is bring in some of their talented youngsters and hope they mature quickly. Other than that I suppose it's a case of letting players on big money run their contracts down, or sell anyone they can get decent money for. The only thing that can fix Barca is time, it doesn't matter who they bring in as manager really, a new manager can't solve this.
Yes, that's why I say that the greatness of Manchester City today is not 100% the result of guardiola performance, a team that has a lot of money can certainly improve its team as best as possible, compared to a team that has a good coach but instead has poor players, indeed we can't argue if guardiola has an important role in building the manchester squad to the extent it is today, but of course we also have to see how the condition of the team he has coached so far, I think besides Wenger there is no coach in the English league who is able to build a squad well with only minimal funds.
