They just fall one by one, it started with Everton then Liverpool and Spurs then ManU and Leicester... At the same time, City stopped making mistakes and skyrocketed.
Those teams should only blame themselves for this situation with a partial fault of injury for liverpool..
It's just that Guardiola, through trial and error, has again put together the perfect mechanism for scoring points in contrast to the competition Wink In principle, very rarely are the whole team championship match on the same level with no apparent recession, especially given the current situation with COVID 19 and the increased invasiveness of players due to the seal number of games, but unlike rivals Manchester city's decline was at the beginning of the championship

I can't really say that Everton are playing their best game right now but still they are leading 1-0 against Southampton and they are the better side. Richarlison scored the goal and M. Keane's goal was cancelled by VAR decision because of an offside. But it is still a risky score for them and I think Everton will score their second goal too and win this game.

I think a 1 nil lead is always risky; because in a game of football; a lot can happen in 5 minutes and this is why Everton keeps pushing for another goal; i want the tie to end in a draw; so i assume a 1 - 1 draw; with Southampton getting a late equalizer

Haha. Not like we didn't know that teams like Everton, Everton and Leicester city won't last long on top of the table. But you'd expect Liverpool or Man Utd to. Man Utd assumed top spot at a very good time - where they were in good form. But what followed was series of uninspiring results in their 7 games. (just 2 wins, 4 draws and 1 disappointing defeat to Sheffield Wednesday). While they kept dropping points, City kept picking them up.

In the case of Liverpool, I've always said our results have been heavily impacted by the injuries of key players.  I feel Liverpool would be in an entirely different position if those injuries didn't affect key players.

Everton vs Southampton tonight. If Southampton werent struggling with so many injuries. It would have been a closer game but Southampton lineup is spread thin. Should be an easy game for Everton to win.

I expect a quite easy match for Everton also. Southampton are so far away from their performance in the first weeks of the league. With these injury problems, they are in a too bad condition. After getting a huge win vs Liverpool, I think Everton will win this match too.

Their rivals have been sub standard this season, nobody even put up a fight but they are to be respected. They have done their job & been consistently good.

I can't say I blame teams that occupied the top spot on the table long before City picked some form but it was within the grasp of Liverpool or even Man Utd. But both teams threw away their shot at winning it thanks to several poor, mediocre performance. I actually thought that Man Utd would win it after taking controls from Liverpool and they were playing well at that time only to see Ole's men fall short just as Liverpool.

I really thought this season's title would be closely contested but it doesn't seem to be the case. Not anymore with city leading with 12 points and 12 games left to play.

I have a so big respect for City's marvelous performance also.  Grin
We really have no choice but to respect their eighteen games unbeaten run. Some of the games were not as impressive as expected but it's still the result that matter.

They can afford to lose four matches, win eight games, and will still be crowned as Premier League champions.

Southampton not only have been very bad recently but also have many missing players as you said. If Everton win this match, they will have the equal points to Liverpool. They defeated Liverpool 2-0 away in their last match and they should be very focused on this match. I think also Everton will win.

Everton should win this game even if Southampton have no missing players. They are favorite at home. Honestly I was surprised when they lost first match in October, I didn't expect them to play that bad.
While our local sportsbook give 1.72 odds for Everton win, Global sportsbooks give almost 2 odds. That's a good bet to play for Monday.

I think LFC should be active during the summer transfer window to sell some players and get new faces in to freshen up the squad.
That is an option Liverpool management should think about at the moment. They lost a lot of point just because the cover players didn't do well when the main players were absent. Their defenses were far from satisfactory, they would have to finish their proposal immediately if they were to return to compete in the top 4.
I think they haven't lost 26 games in a row right now, between league, cup, champions league and all that they have been doing awesome, they have been doing awesome lately and I can't believe how awesome they are because we are talking about 26 games in a row, how could you win that many games in a row that easily.

Interestingly they didn't star that well neither, after the first 9 games or so they were at 9th in the league for a while, but obviously they saw that as something problematic and they ended up fighting hard and took that momentum into 26 unbeaten streak. But I can't believe how awesome they could be, they have been awesome and could be even more awesome if they keep this up. They do not look like they are going to end up with a record breaking situation all over again. We can say unless something major changes, they are already the champions.

Everton will play against Southampton and after Everton can break the defeat by winning against Liverpool, it looks like this victory proves that Everton will continue to try to get into 5th place.
whereas at Southampton because there are a lot of injured players maybe that is a factor in them continuing to lose, so I'm not sure Southampton can recover quickly
Southampton is very unstable and the injuries of many players are factors that are not in their favor. Evernton with Anceloti is a good team with a lot of potential. For me, Everton now looks even more promising than West Ham, which I think will not be able to stay in the TOP 4. I believe in Everton's victory today, but even a handicap (0) bet on Everton for 1.5 looks very good.
Winning this game Everton will be catapulted near Chelsea and West Ham in fifth place. The problem with Everton recently is that they do not tend to leverage the home factor as most of the points lost where, in fact, lost playing at Goodison Park.
For this game I see them winning easily against Southampton, maybe 2-0

This match will only make Liverpool supporter hope Everton will not win the match. But Everton will do everything today and win it which is a good chance to move up to 6th position. Everton are very motivated today after they won their previous match vs Liverpool, this will make them much better than Southamton who is winless in the last 5 game. But it feel like the goal difference between Liverpool and Everton will prevent Everton from moving up to 6th place despite winning today's game.

By the way, Liverpool managed to win the match after 4 match of defeat in the EPL, do you think Liverpool are ready to get back on the winning track after this?

Good game by Arsenal by beating Leciester City 1-3 Arsenal dominated the match mounting pressure with both flanks with the duo of pepe and willian threatening and creating chances for Arsenal, I believed the Europa league match Leciester played  on Thursday had taken a toll on their players they are fatigued and dull.
Arsenal is picking form again I hope they can continue to play to match more of their matches onward.
At first I thought Arsenal were going to lose, they had already lost 1-0 in the sixth minute by Youri Tielemans' goal. But my prediction is wrong, maybe you are right Leicester City have a tougher schedule so they are tired. Playing at home to the King Power Stadium Leicester City lost, it was seen that the arsenal played dominantly. Apart from that I saw Willian doing well, he made two assists which was the goal.

This is what I do. I drink and I know things.
I was also surprised that how they couldn't score a goal and we didn't even see any goal in a match like this. This is Chelsea's 2nd consecutive draw and their next match will be vs Liverpool away. It will be another interesting match.

Tell me about it! I was expecting at least 2 goals, one from each team, but I guess wrong. Let's hope that their next game will be better in terms of scoring goals... Tongue

Manchester City have been excellent so far. At the top of the table, they are also the only team to concede just 16 goals in 26 match. All of the players seem to be working quite satisfactorily and the strong defense has really supported them so far to reach the championship. Now that Manchester City are very comfortable at the top of the table, they have 12 point more than second-placed Manchester United and 13 point above Leicester. It will make Manchester City play without pressure in my opinion. They will face Wolves in the follow-up match on March 3.

For today's match between Everton vs Southamton, I think Everton will dominate the game and will do their best to try to move up to 6th in the standing. Liverpool who are currently in 6th position are likely to drop to 7th if Everton win today's game. Also Everton still have 1 more match which will allow them to get ahead of Liverpool.

I think LFC should be active during the summer transfer window to sell some players and get new faces in to freshen up the squad.
