City won't play purely defensively but it could happen that they control the ball all game (without trying to take risks, playing "for sure"), then United will have big problems to score a goal. So I'm not at all confident in BTTS. I'll probably just place a simple bet on City, as it will be a normal game (and not a game where City players have not had time to sober up from drinking in honor of the title) as I expect them to justify their status as favorites.
I see nothing special in this game. We know the FA Cup is more prestigious than the Community Shield. I prefer to bet on a City win. United beat City in last season's FA Cup, but I'm not sure if City will play with their full squad. And losing in this game doesn't make one of these clubs a loser.
United had a few new players. They have not yet integrated with their system. I take double chance as my safe zone to bet. Also, winning or losing doesn't matter in this game. I see it as a glorified friendly match between Manchester United and Manchester City.

In terms of prestige it doesn't carry much weight, but it's still a title + a derby + City are certainly pissed off that United beat them at the end of last season. I think both clubs will have enough motivation to not consider this game random, which means the favorite should win. The fact that on paper City is much stronger than United seems indisputable to me.

Chelsea transfer 20 million euros, add seventh goalkeeper to goalkeeping guild'

Chelsea strengthens with Belgian goalkeeper Penders
'Chelsea transfer 20 million euros, add seventh goalkeeper to goalkeeping guild'
38
Goalkeeper Mike Penders is leaving Genk for an adventure at Chelsea, Fabrizio Romano reports. The Belgian will become the seventh goalkeeper in Chelsea 's first team .

The nineteen-year-old goalkeeper is making the move to Genk for twenty million euros including bonuses. Chelsea sees a lot of potential in Penders and therefore the club is also offering him a long-term contract. The Belgian will stay with the Londoners until 2032. The young Penders will remain active for Genk next season, but after this year he will make the move to London. Penders still had a contract with Genk until 2028.

Chelsea is currently in the midst of another crazy transfer summer. The Londoners have already signed eight players and it seems that they are not going to stop there. The arrival of Penders will soon be made official, as will that of Samu Omorodion from Atlético Madrid. Whether Penders has much chance of playing time at Chelsea next season is the question. The Belgian will then become the seventh goalkeeper on the payroll of the first team.

Chelsea are beginning to make me look like an not ready for this season, I will say they really make use of this transfer window more than any other English team, I am beginning to afraid for them if they didn't make any positive results this season

I don't get it what Chelsea management want this summer because their transfer behaviour is really confusing me and for the goalkeeper after Kepa Arrizabalaga return from his loan from Real Madrid so far they had 8 goalkeepers at their squad including Mike Penders so the question is who would be their main goalkeeper of next season because if i am not mistaken every premier league clubs usually only register 3 goalkeepers for their squad

In this case Chelsea have to sell at least 5 goalkeepers this summer because 8 goalkeeper in the same club is too much and for forward lines too Chelsea has 10 players which none of them who can able to performing well last season unless Jackson even some of them such as Armando Broja or Noni Madueke only mediocre player

I have post about this before because in Chelsea too many useless players in this team which Chelsea have to sell them immediatelly however Chelsea weaknesses is similar just like Arsenal because they have no sharp striker at their current squad but i was wondering why Chelsea buy goalkeeper instead of new striker especially they have money and can bought world class striker they want

I would've probably countered your opinion if only Manchester United were going to manager that's different from the one that's been at the club for the past two seasons but since Erik ten Hag is still the club's coach and will still oversee their games next season, I seriously doubt that Manchester United are going to do anything better than they've done in recent seasons. Considering the quality of players at United, I think they have all it takes to become a serious contender for the league title next season but the club manager haven't been convincing enough with his performances for anyone to think they can challenge the English champions Manchester City. Like you rightly said, Manchester United might make it to top four but not winning the league title

I don't ignore your opinion because it is a possibility that could happen it's just that sometimes there are things we never thought of and it can be a surprise. Ten Hag may not be the greatest manager but last season he had a lot of problems with players such as injuries and legal cases thus disrupting its performance, well, for next season we don't know what other problems will come. For the Premier League I have 3 favourite teams to win the title the first is Arsenal and Manchester City then Chelsea I see these teams have the potential to be closer to the title, Meanwhile Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United do not seem worthy of competing there. do you have another favorite team?

The problems faced by Ten Hag are quite complicated and it disturbed his concentration last season, the problems that will come are like luck that we cannot predict in life, it is always a mystery to all teams, but I am also quite sure that Manchester United will not be able to win the title by looking at their current situation, let alone challenging Man City's championship I think it's too much, being in 5th place in the standings is already much better for Man United in my opinion.

For the favorite teams Arsenal and Man City are certainly the most competitive teams in the league I know the orientation of thought, but for Chelsea, how do you rate them to be one of the winning candidates next season?

In the last two seasons Arsenal failed to win the title but their performances were very good. The team continued to fight for the title until the last match of the season. And the Premier League became more competitive thanks to Arsenal's great performances. We didn't just see Manchester City's dominance.
Arsenal's only weakness in the last two seasons has been the lack of experienced players in their bench team. When a key player in Arsenal's squad suffered an injury, Arsenal did not have suitable replacements. This is why Arsenal fell behind. Alvarez was a worthy replacement for Haaland in Manchester City's squad. But Arsenal did not have a suitable substitute when any key player in the Arsenal squad suffered an injury. Arsenal's performance was unstbale as a result. This is why Arsenal can't win the title. So I feel the need to add more talented players to Arsenal's squad next season.
Well, this season Arsenal has completed its squad for several lines. Unfortunately, Arsenal has not brought in a player who is a mainstay in the front line as a productive finisher. So, for me Arsenal is not complete if they don't bring in a pure striker in this summer's transfer window. IMO, there are several Arsenal players who should be released in this summer's transfer window. Apart from Nketiah, Fabio Viera cannot be relied on, especially in crucial matches. I hope that before the transfer window closes, Arsenal has brought in a striker who is at least capable of scoring 20 goals in one season. Thus, Arteta has several options for front line players if problems such as injuries occur. In the City camp, TheCitizen lost a player who usually always became Erling Haaland's backup. I don't know Pep Guardiola's plan after Alvarez left, but anyway City has truly competitive players and a coach who knows his team's needs. The competition in the 2024/25 season should be more exciting, but maybe several other teams are targeting trophies and will provide competition for City and Arsenal. we can't be sure yet, which team will show an epic performance in the upcoming season. what is certain, I hope Arteta and Edu get a pure striker that we expect as supporters of The Gunners.

I agree with you that Arsenal should have added an experienced striker to the squad. Because there is not a single player in Arsenal's squad who has managed to score 15 goals without the chance of a penalty. Bukayo Saka is probably the highest goalscorer in Arsenal's squad. He scored 16 goals, but 6 of them were from the penalty spot. Arsenal should therefore add at least one experienced scorer or finisher to their attack. There is no doubt that Arsenal's overall performance and match strategy is very good. However, Arsenal's squad will be slightly behind Liverpool and Manchester City.

Alvarez is likely to leave Manchester City this season, possibly joining Atletico Madrid. I think City will be in trouble if Alvarez leaves City. There is no doubt that Haaland's fitness is good enough. However, if Haaland suffers an injury, it will be very difficult for Guardiola to stabilize Manchester City's overall performance. Guardiola should add a talented player to the squad to replace Alvarez.

Since last season and the new season that will start later, there are still many who doubt Erik Ten Hag and I also understand because every fan wants to see their favorite club get good results at the end of the season while Ten Hag is still having difficulty managing players who end up injured.
This season when the pre-season match Erik Ten Hag again experienced the same problem when Leny Yoro was injured while this player is a new player who is expected to be relied on to help Man Utd get better results.
Actually, problems like this should be Ten Hag's priority to try to find the right way to keep players away from injury problems and for me, Erik Ten Hag's biggest problem is only when some players get injured and at this time Man Utd is experiencing a decline in performance.

Hopefully what we think will not be something terrible at the end of the season and Man Utd at least has a big change this season because they have spent a lot of money to recruit new players.

I agree. I just think it's rather peculiar that everybody and their fans thinks a striker should be top of mind but their manager doesn't. I'm curious to see how he plans to set up this season to usurp Manchester City without signing a striker, because he obviously wants to win.
They scored a lot of goals last season so you can argue that they don't need a striker on the account of that, but that's just tempting fate imo.

By faith and data evidence, I'm confident that Arsenal will win something big. But, not to discredit your point, it is also a possibility that they don't win.

Since Manchester United couldn't have a good performance so far during the last season now they want to improve the team and especially the midfielders, that's why they decided to stop working with Casemiro and McTominay while these two players are both key players, and effective for Manchester united but they won't stop working with both players and hire some other players instead and they think Manuel Ugarte but this player too expensive and PSG asked 65 million euros for him that's why Manchester United thinks about Sander Berge the player Burnley.

In my opinion, Manchester United should have sold any of their current midfielders as a way to complete the Manuel Ugarte deal, Casemiro and McTominay cannot strengthen the midfield as they would like, in fact, Casemiro has not been in the best form since last season, and Manchester United should have considered selling him when the Saudi team request for him because it looks like Casemiro's career has ended in Real Madrid, this isn't the same Casemiro we knew from Madrid.
But I think selling all the midfielders and replacing them with Manuel Ugarte will not solve the club's problems either because I think Manuel Ugarte's performance is also just ordinary and I'm not sure Manuel Ugarte can play well at Manchester United and will fit his style of play this depends on the suitability of a player to the club, Casemero is more suited to Real Madrid therefore when at Manchester United he did not perform optimally.

Regarding Saudi Arabia's interest in Casemero it seems that the rumor has died down the Saudi Arabian club seems to be no longer pursuing this player because the player has not shown any interest in leaving so it is clear that MU has not been able to sell this player to get much profit.

Ten Hag was expected to be fire around the end of past season but Manchester United decided to continue with him at least one more season. It's not easy to say this decision is good or bad because he will have one more season to defend his coach position. Manchester United will use a next season to assess his work and at this moment, there is no enough more evidence from Manchester United to make a tough decision against Ten Hag.
We don't want to see Manchester United in the same position in the points table as they were last season. Manchester United is a well-known club, so the position of this club will be between number one and five in the points table.

Earlier when Manchester United was under a different manager but this club's position was good in the Premier League but since Ten Heg took over the team started to deteriorate. The Manchester United management has shown a lot of patience and faith in their current manager but the managers have not reciprocated the trust. If one more season is expected of this manager then this manager must do well and finish the season in a good position in the points table otherwise this manager will have no chance to stay at Manchester United.

Good quality managers may be offered from Manchester United and they will agree, I think the management should also think about this.

Leny Yoro is one of the unlucky players we have seen so far during this season since he joined Manchester United. Leny Yoro left Lille and started playing for Manchester United as Ten Hag asked the team to hire this player.
Manchester United paid 62 million euros for him which is a huge amount of money but he got injured just after three training sessions in Manchester United and he hasn't had a good chance so far. But Ten Hag started talking about this player and he said Leny Yoro is having recovery and he will come back soon.
We expect to see Leny Yoro back in the good form after three months.

How can it be said that he is an unlucky player, of course this is not what he wanted, according to him this is a quick incident and of course every player experiences this so it is not right if we say he is an unlucky player, in the pre-season he participated in he was also okay and his defender was also good and he is also young so there is still a future for him and development that he must build with the Man United team after he was absent, the fantastic price is not new to Man United because why if not doing that maybe Yoro would choose Madrid as their destination because Madrid also wants his talent so Man United must hijack him with money to his club. You are very hasty my friend, indeed he is in a condition like this it is impossible for him to want it so I hope your words are not like that especially since he is still young it will affect his mentality and make him think of words that do not need to be thought of so let him undergo good healing and do that for Man United especially for his fans to prove that he deserves to be there, and I am sure he is a talented player so his presence will greatly help Man United's defense next season.

Selling off this players may not be a problem, I'm beginning to believe that replacing them after the sales may be the biggest challenge Manchester United may face thereafter and then they don't seem to have effective scouting strength upon which they can depend to get immediate and perfect replacements for the exit of any of this players as Manchester United appears like they need an overhaul at almost every position, from their defense up ro their strikers, they don't have a very reliable and dependable players in their good form.

You have just highlighted Manchester United past problem which is scouting a very good Player why I said it is a past problem is that the current Manchester United have done a total reshuffle or rather restructuring at the top and they now have one of the best persons running the affairs of the club. This effect can be seeing with the way they signed the two players Zirkzee and Yoro this season without having to prolong decisions and overpaying like past seasons. After this signings I will say I seriously trust the management of Dan Ashworth to bring in more quality players. Right now they need to first do a clear out which is getting hard because of the wages that the affected players are on.

So yuh think Manchester United have quality players and their only set Back is the manager? I disagree with you about this and I will say even though we have the manager to blame for the team poor performance we should also hold the team responsible, Manchester United to me have more average players than world class players and the players aren’t even available for the manager when he needs them and that creates excuses for him. This season will be a make or break for Erik Ten Hag with many of you guys looking for him to fail so that he can get the sack but if the gets his squad fit and the new players settle in I don’t see it happening

For this coming season, I did not see Manchester United competing with Manchester City. Although Manchester United can make the top four, but the current squad and the coach we have now cannot make us compete favourably with Manchester City.

Arsenal is a good team and they have good players in all lines but still Arsenal is not complete like Manchester City because in Manchester City they have got a good coach like Pep Guardiola in this team. Manchester City is winning the Premier League over and over because Manchester City of the best coach they have in this team. While Arteta is not experienced like Guadiola he doesn't have knowledge like Guadiola and that's normal.
Maybe that's the main reason for Manchester City to the title of Premier League while Arsenal couldn't do that.

Apparently Liverkusen wanted to start their new winning streak, but it didn't work out. In general, nothing terrible happened, both teams learnt some lesson from it. EPL matches will start tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow Arsenal will play their first match and I think it is very important to start the season with a win, not so much for the position in the standings, but for the morale-booster

Leverkusen almost broke history but on a norm, Arsenal is their mate. They had last season quite boldly in Bundesliga but they couldn't hold Atalanta down and lost the winning streak in the Europa League final and it was then I knew they are not as good as they are, if they should have won the final match and take out Atalanta that wasn't even having a good Place in their domestic league but this is a new season, let's see what they can play this time.

Arsenal has shown no sign of weakness, Arteta seems not to have cool down but the task ahead of this season might look hotter than last time because Guardiola lost FA cup and Champions League, the dominance to maintain the lead might come back to his head and who knows if there is going to be surprises later when the season begins.

Chelsea are still having bad results despite all the players they're signing because they keep on signing average players. Signing players is a good thing and banking on young players is also a good thing but you can't go about signing every youngster you come across and don't sign any veterans that can actually lead the club to glory. The club is a mess I kid you not. They're filled with young players that are not even that good. If they had been signing generational talent types of young players, it wouldn't have still worked out when you have so many young players together, talk more of when the young players they're signing are not generational talent.
I feel sorry for the coach though because everything is going to be his fault.
Aside from players like Enzo, Nkunkun, and James, I struggle to see any undoubably good players in Chelsea.

Is too early to judge a club performance in pre-season matches remember that these are friendly match and not the main competition so for you to judge Chelsea that they are not good from the pre-season matches I don't think is proper that way it will be better if the season start and you see that despite signing young players, they still did not make good performance then by then you can say something like this but as you can see these are just friendly matches,

However, these are new and young players so you are not expecting them to just start shining people at the top today started somewhere so this players must have some kind of little difficulty this season because they will be meeting with big players that they haven't play with before which make them look as if they are not trying,

the coach must work hard to see that these players get use to the premiere league before the season start getting more tough to avoid critising like this. People have started talking bad about the team since preseason. If we enter the main competition and the same thing happens, Chelsea will experience a bad season again.

Players don't just rise from dust to legend, they started from somewhere. You aren't expecting Chelsea to go to Real Madrid and beg them to give them Rodrigo or go to Barcelona to give them Yamal. Spain club is too far, Manchester City is the closest, you don't expect them to sign Haaland to come help them win trophy. They have to start from somewhere, even Haaland started from somewhere and nobody know of his existence in English league until he was transferred From Bundesliga to English Premier League club.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I never said signing you G players is a bad thing, but when you sign 25 young players and fit them into a squad then they're set up for failure. All these guys you mentioned did not start up in a system where all the players are young players and even if they started in this kind of system, how many of those players do you hear of.
Take Haaland for example, how many of the players from Salzburg do you know? There is a way to acquire players, not the way Chelsea are going about it.
You said Chelsea want to make legends, I can assure you none of those players will turn out to be world class talk more of legends of the game.

How did Manchester City get Haaland? How did Barcelona get Yamal? How did Madrid get Rodrigo and Mbappe? Did these clubs do it by signing over 45 players into their squad? Manchester City have a very good team, did they go about buying every available player on the planet?
Just this evening, I've gotten a notification that Chelsea wants to sign 3 new players and they are about to sign a new goal keeper when they already have about 4 goal keepers. It's laughable how they run that club.

I don't think Arsenal are too pleased with their win, like many they were just testing tactics and some players, everyone should realise that's what pre-season matches are for, not to satisfy their egos with wins. Most teams don't even put half of their main squad on the pitch in such matches. But it's definitely worth saying that Arsenal are feeling good about themselves
The match was very interesting to watch despite it being a pre season match. Alonso wanted to defeat Arsenal while Arteta also wanted to the same, and they both put their best squads in the game which resulted to this trashing 4-1 defeat at Emirate stadium.

If you watch the match, you will see that almost all Alonso’s first team players start because he wanted a win either. It is a pre season game and it have showed how well prepared Arsenal is as well as Leverkusen because they both try in the game.
