Exactly man,Manchester United's coach Ole will not let Christiano Ronaldo take a penalty because he is new,and because he trusts and believes in Fernandes.Anybody can miss penalty,Fernandes is a great player that commands and demands respect. He is unarguably the best player in that team.I am sure Ole trusts him and will still give him that opportunity again to perform well, and that will be the best thing he will do as a manager.
I see it is not easy actually to take this kind of decision.
And Fernandes or everyone who takes finally kicks will have its own pressure. But, it doesn't close any chance someday or later that Ronaldo will also take a place for that kick.
Well yeah, football is not only about Ronaldo and also not only about relying on one person. That is the team.

About penalty kick Ole have give decision before match begin, they give which player take penalty kick or free kick but Bruno Fernandez as the player always success on penalty kick before, maybe next match Ole will give the penalty kick for Cristiano Ronaldo but not guarantee he most active playing for Manchester United on primer league and champion league, maybe he will take rest when Manchester United faced with Everton tomorrow, I see Manchester United not any rotation player so far and keep make them play on champion league and primer league with the same player.

Manchester United fans are quite optimistic against Everton now that their squad is confident of a win with Villarreal and can beat Everton in what will be the Premier League game this week.
It is actually not the game of the week, Manchester City face Liverpool at Anfield this weekend as well, and that surely is the game of the week. But talking about United, I'm pretty sure they will be brimming with confidence after their win against Villarreal this mid-week, and it's not just cause they won, but the matter in which they did, a last gasp winner, it shows the team are starting to believe in themselves and that's the sort of attitude they have been lacking for a while now. Everton will pose a different and a difficult test for United and if they are not careful, they'll struggle to come out with any point from that game.

City v Liverpool is the game to watch this week, and City usually struggle anytime they come to the red half of Merseyside, but their last outing at anfield was a successful one for peps boys, can they continue in that form and beat Liverpool twice in a row at anfield, a feat I don't think they have ever managed to do.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to provide an attractive game, considering that his opponents Everton have a collective style of play that tends to be pragmatic, but Man United remains the favourite, because in the last five meetings against Everton vs United in all competitions, they have always won.
Ronaldo and his friends must play optimally to get three points to turn things around in the standings, and also have the advantage of playing at home against Everton later.
Manchester United fans are quite optimistic against Everton now that their squad is confident of a win with Villarreal and can beat Everton in what will be the Premier League game this week.

Ronaldo had quite an influence on his team, on the other hand, Ole Gunner also had to be able to read Everton's strategy, which is sometimes tough to beat considering this is an away game, so I believe in Ronaldo and his friends who can win after yesterday's defeat to Aston Villa, therefore they have optimism for the 3 points that must be brought.
Manchester United will surely win the match, but they shouldn't be expecting an easy winning. Everton is not a weak team, they have the same points with Manchester United and even Chelsea. It will be a tough match, but Ole have to win, after losing against Aston Villa in their last Premier League match. This will be Everton's first time  playing against big team in this season. If Everton are able to beat strong clubs. They will end this season in the top 4.

We are going to see Arsenal competing against Brighton away in two days. As we all know, Arsenal have been in a perfect shape lately. They won their last 5 official games. And they have a 3-win streak in the Premier League also. They finished Tottenham by 3-1 last and this must be a very satisfying victory for them also. But Brighton are going to be a very tough opponent for them. They have had a good start to the league and they are at a better position than Arsenal now. But Arsenal won their last head-to-head game against them here by 1-0 also. I believe in Arsenal not to lose this game. I think that both teams will score and the game will end in a draw like 1-1 or maybe 2-2.

It is very interesting to wait for the Brighton vs Arsenal match, in fact the quality of Arsenal's players is much better than Brighton. But Brighton did play
very well in 6 matches in the Premier League, even Brighton only lost once. Although Arsenal's performance began to improve and Arsenal's players were
also on fire after beating Tottenham, but we know Arsenal started the season really badly. So indeed the ideal result is a draw, but I predict Arsenal will be
able to beat Brighton, moreover Arsenal have a target to return to play in the Europa League. So need to win a lot of games, and Brighton is
an opponent Arsenal can beat.

I think the answer to these odds is in the public's mood. Even in the poll which in this thread shows that the majority thinks that City will become the champion this season, and much fewer people rely on Liverpool. I think the bets on these teams are distributed in approximately the same way, so the bookmakers insure themselves against a bad outcome and balance the accepted bets so as to guarantee themselves a profit in any outcome. Thus, in my opinion, this is a typical case of curved odds.
I would assume that it is based on what people wager on. I mean it is obvious that oddmakers care about what people wager on, sure it does a first off the batch odds at first but that changes overtime, because in the end if people are wagering on the underdog more than the favorites, you will question why that is and give odds better for the underdogs after a while thinking they are the favorites.

Long story short the oddmakers take in what people may wager on as the most important thing when they are deciding on the teams. This is based on what people wagered on those teams beforehand as well, so if people wagered a ton of money on City to win all their games so far, and sure a lot for Liverpool too but if it is less than they would put City as the better team because of those previous bets. This is how they do it, that much I know, can't speak on this spesific game but that is what happens in the long run.

I don't know how strong Everton is, but such an imbalance in odds really raises questions:
1,52 - 4,40 - 6,40

The next match will be in Old Trafford and you know what that means do you. Manchester United is a different beast in a home game compared to away game and on top of that the morale of the whole teams seems to be on the higher side ever since Ronaldo joined the team so I'd expect alot of other teams will be getting these kind of odds whenever they play against Manchester United in Old Trafford

Yes, playing at home is always a plus, and if we were talking about European competitions, I would understand such a skew in odds, because a foreign team arriving at Old Trafford comes under the pressure of a great place, its history. This can play a role. But Everton plays here at least once a year, I think they are ready for anything.

Both teams have the same number of points, but the odds from the bookmakers are as if teams from different ends of the standings are participating in the match. Perhaps the Everton bet is justified here.

Yeah according to statistics from the last 6 matches, its pretty even overall but if you are looking for a chance to win decent amount then betting against favourite is not a bad idea afterall

On the 5th round, Manchester City had like 1.2 odds against Southampton but that match ended up with a draw

Yes, I like the idea of betting on Everton, but I need to think a little more - the problem is that I'm a United fan  Grin

I actually believe Everton are much stronger than Villareal (taking into account current squad and Rafa Benitez now as their tactical mastermind). Ole is very poor at tactics so if his men can't perform in the first half, then Everton will punish them.

Odds make it not worth to bet on United too unless the bookies update the numbers in a day Smiley

It's obvious that Man United will be the favorite since they are the bigger club and they have Ronaldo but the odds looks unjustified. I think their dramatic win in Champions League and the fact that they will play at home has made the other team the huge underdog.

Manchester united managed to beat villareal last night, and of course this is a good provision for them to face everton this weekend, I think ronaldo's performance with manchester really makes a big difference in every game they live, but even so, it looks like OGS have to do a little changes to face everton later, because in my opinion the manchester united players only have a little time to recover their stamina and performance after a difficult match against villareal and they only have 2 days before facing everton in the leaguea nd of course if OGS forced the squad last night to continue playing it would be very prone to injury.

We are going to be opening the new match weekend with a quite competitive match I think: Manchester United v Everton. [...] We might watch a boring match with few goals or maybe even no goal.

A 1-0 win for United, with Ronaldo scoring the winner in the 97th minute... you heard it here first  Grin

Seriously though, I'm not hugely impressed by United and the purchase of Ronaldo doesn't address their flaws, it just masks them. He's a great player and gives them an added dimension, just not in the way they need.
I don't see them as title contenders this season, but I'd say they're still (a bit) better than Everton.

That penalty has nothing to do with trust, Fernandes is a good player, as is Christiano Ronaldo, and I am certain that Ole trusts both of them.
Ole made the best decision by making Fernandes take that PK, that's what any wise man would have done. You wouldn't expect C. Ronaldo as one of the greatest players of all time, to make others feel bad because he was welcomed to the club. Things have to be done the way they are because, the existing players would believe Ole was taking sides.
Despite doing the right thing, Fernandes lost the PK.  Grin Grin

We are going to be opening the new match weekend with a quite competitive match I think: Manchester United v Everton. There has been a big rivalry between these big teams of this league in history. And I came across an interesting statistics also that Everton haven't defeated Manchester United away in the league since December 2013. This is a good psychological advantage for Manchester United. However their recent form is not very bright. They are barely able to win matches lately. And this can continue against Everton also. So I guess Everton won't lose very easily. But Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin are critical losses for them also. We might watch a boring match with few goals or maybe even no goal.
Manchester united must win the match if they want to secure their position in the current standings, everton which is currently under manchester united will certainly appear all out to be able to achieve positive results, currently Manchester United is in 4th position with 13 points, while Everton is in 5th place with a collection of 13 points. It will be a competitive match and crucial for both teams to secure their position.

United's attack is good, it is defense which takes them back to square one. The mistake they do behind at the pitch gives opponents some good chances to score. Take Villa game for example where they gave away Villa so many chances to score. Yesterday also they were quite open against Villareal. Its the same story over and over again.
It's not good enough and Ole relies on players moment to get goals and points. He is not able to prepare a few tactics for United to find goals. He is not flexible with player choice and tactic changes. The appearance of Ronaldo will make United rely on him and Ole will become less flexible with his substitutions with attacking system.

I agree about the defense of United that need to be improved. Wan Bisaka and Luke Shaw don't make me feel safely. Maguire so far has not had good performance as the last season.

That's right, if you saw them perform at UCL. They are very bad, especially on the right side. Seen the first 20 minutes there were 2 kicks on goal. But De Gea was able to brush it off. It looks like their distance is too wide, they are easy for Villareal players to pass. I miss when there was Ferdinand, Vidic, evra and Gary Nevile. They are very strong, at the moment I think they are the best defensive combination I have known Manchester United.
