Thats right and i think no one expect that the table will be this way because the 2 manchester teams had a bad season starting and they had many isseus but now they lead the standings and i wish the tow teams will fight to the end for the throphy
I'd also love to see the two Manchester clubs go toe to toe for the title, the last time we saw them do that was in the 2011/2012 season, and City came out on top in that one, Roberto Mancini winning the league from Sir Alex Ferguson in the most dramatic of fashions; will Pep and OGS give us that sort of run again, we'll have to wait and see, though I don't think Manchester United can maintain the momentum, but I'm pretty sure City will.

I think you're joking for van Dijk.  if it is, do not judge what has passed.  and football is a game that is not based solely on emotions.  Ole deserves more praise than his dead predecessors Smiley
With due respect sir, Ole Gunnar Solskjær doesn't deserve to be Manchester United coach. A coach that relied on individual skills than employing his own tactic into the team. He lacks the moral force to pilot Manchester United, however he doesn't reward hard work. Tell me why he would prefer Lindof above Eric Bailing in Centre defense? which absolutely shows that he should just walk out.

"Ole Gunnar Solskjær doesn't deserve to be Manchester United coach"

I quoted that because it is a wrong narrative being promoted by the media; Coaching is not about deserving a position but doing a good job. Ole Gunnar Solskjær has done a good rebuild job at Manchester united which no other coach has been able to do. From replacing the likes of Jones, Young, Valencia, Smalling, Pereira, Lingard with Bruno, AWB, Maguire, Diallo. Building a team of togetherness and also achieving targets.

"Tell me why he would prefer Lindof above Eric Bailing in Centre defense?"

Football is a team job, not an individual effort; Lindelof and maguire has great understanding playing with Scott and Fred or Matic and pogba; While it is evident that Bailly thrives while playing with matic in midfield and maguire. Lindelof did a very good job against Liverpool; reading passes, intercepting plays and cutting out attack intelligently.

If you say semi final failures; i say tell me any team in the world in the last 12 months to reach 4 semi finals ? Appreciate the progress because there will be more to come.

As a Manchester United supporter; i want you to imagine how the squad would be after signing the likes of sancho or grealish or a cdm ?
More importantly; Manchester United has not lost an away in a year in the Premier league with just 3 draws; and also have the highest points per game since 2020; You do not have to like OGS; but acknowledge the results of his work.

Duo Manchester back on track. City is on fire.
Yeah, Man City and Man United are leading the table now. It is surprising and really unpredictable. I am not so surprised with the achievement of Man United, but it is so surprising to see Man City in the second position now. I still remember they are in mid of the table in the early of this season. They have many problems at that time, but they really have a winning mentality. They can survive and improve their performance, so they can compete again for the title now. Amazing!!

And Manchester City can be top of the table if they can win against Aston Villa, and for sure they will not waste this opportunity, slowly but sure City are starting to show good results.
Personally I believed man City chances of winning EPL this season is brighter than that of Liverpool, Man Utd, Tottenham and Leciester City an ex football turned analyst shearer predicted that any of this five team can win the title race link : https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/55698337  Man City had been consistent lately despite fielding some second team players when some of their main team players were contracted  with Covid-19 they won those matches. Their next opponent Aston Villa is not a big threat, Guordiola tutored side will win the match.

Hopefully Arsenal can be consistent until the end of this season.
Arsenal will always be Arsenal don't get your hope high, they are used to 10th position this set of players don't have passion to win. The team is one sided they rely on Saka, Auba, Willian and Pepe has been poor all season. Well if they keep performing this way they might likely get the Europa slot.

Great game from Arsenal today. Very happy to see Aubameyang getting his goals and Smith Rowe and Saka linkup is so pleasing to eyes. Wonderful performance but I would say they are still working on their attacking. Newcastle defense wasn't a real test for Arteta's side. We have next match against Southampton and I can say that Saints defense is very good so next game is gonna be a real test for gunners.

Anyway what matters in the end is 3 points and Arsenal back on 10th.  Cool

As an Arsenal fan, I am very satisfied with the results of the Arsenal vs Newcastle match. the 3-0 victory has proven that Arsenal are on the right
track. This victory earned Arsenal 3 points and made Arsenal move up to 10th in the table. Since Emile Smith-Rowe became a starter, Arsenal's
game has gotten better, I am also happy with Aubameyang's performance when he scored 2 goals proving that his sharpness is back as a striker.

I agree with you that the real test for Arsenal is the next match against Southampton, if Arsenal can win I am optimistic Arsenal can return to
the top table. Because the difference in points is very close, looking at Arsenal's last 5 games in the Premier League with 4 wins is  a very good
result. Hopefully Arsenal can be consistent until the end of this season.

A lot of passing errors. Lack of attempts but United more dangerous when they reach the final third.
It's enough to see United secured 1 point at Anfield.

the most competitive table that I've ever seen.

Duo Manchester back on track. City is on fire.
Too bad it's just a draw, their point difference with Man City is only 2 points. Man City still has fewer matches. It's not safe enough for Man United. If they lose, and Man City wins, Man United will go down the ranks although they still have 18-19 matches left to decide the EPL champion. Based on this, Ole must immediately prepare to clean up the problem and use the Transfer Market this season well. It looks like they need a right-back and right winger to increase the team's strength.

I do not think it is that bad, Liverpool are unbeaten at home in over 60 games and no team has kept a cleansheet at anfield in that long run; which means man utd getting away with a draw and a cleansheet is a good results. Also, ole has gotten a right winger in Diallo and he is in line to make his debut against fulham, while Ole has also ruled out making any January signing.

Yeah, City have a game in hand, and by Wednesday they'll be level on games played with both United and Liverpool, but will prolly be ahead of them in points and on the league table as a win for City against Villa on Wednesday will take them to the summit. City have just been quietly climbing up the table and now they have the chance to go top, and whenever pep's team find themselves at the summit, it's usually difficult to take that position from them.

Previously I didn't have a favorite team I could pick that will prolly win the league, but now I'm going with City, not just cause they've been winning a couple of games, but cause the team have really improved especially in defense, they had a shaky start to the season, but all that is in the past, Stones and Dias have been impregnable, and going forward we know how lethal they can be. Defensive woes have always been city's undoing, but now it seems like pep has fixed that, I think that'll take them through to be crowned champions at the end.

Damn. That was a big one. Did you actually went ahead and took that bet? That must have taken a lot of courage. I mean, I can't even trust Arsenal to at least draw their match if they can't win let alone take a high risk bet like that. Well, Congrats on your win (if you took the bet). I've chosen to avoid Arsenal in my betslips all season. Had too much upsets from them at the start of the 2020/2021 season.

Arsenal couldn't manage to beat Crystal Palace in their last match in the league. I think they won't do that again against Newcastle today. Newcastle have been very bad so far. I think they have no chance here and Arsenal will win this by playing dominantly.

Well, there's still no goal yet with half an hour gone already. Arsenal has been putting a lot of pressure on Newcastle since the opening minutes and they've done well enough to keep the gunners out. Aubameyang even had a big chance to put Arsenal ahead but missed it. If they keep at it, it's only a matter of them before they will the net. I don't usually side Arsenal but they're beginning to look pretty decent these days.
Arsenal is doing very hard but its not easy for them with 72% ball posseion and many shots on goal with lack of finishing is not favouring them they must do some better if they want to stay in top half because now competition is not easy with many teams in good form giving good results they also have to do in same way.

Liverpool 0 - 0 Manchester United

I was unable to watch this grand game, I was very frustrated because that Sunday I ran out of internet and TV because I had problems with the provider... I used the mobile internet but it was very slow and expensive so I couldn't watch this game and any other game this Sunday . I see that tottenham managed to win and even scored 3 goals. I missed great and good games Sad

Big match are sometime too boring to watch if you are home alone. Sometime I don't even watch it because it's too late/ early morning. Unfortunately the Manchester United vs Liverpool match had to end in a draw and it was very boring of course if you are one of the fans between the two team. Instead, you can still check out the highlight on the YouTube channel to see how they did it even if it's just a few minute. That will give you a bit of an idea of how boring the match was.

Arsenal has been much more successful in their past few games other then the last as it was expected from them to grab another win bu the good thing is that they managed to keep the clean sheet four times in a row. As for Newcastle has seen few games with tight score and I  think this one could stay under a 2.5 goal with the gunners expected to see them grab the three points as the Magpies seen 3 defeats in row while playing on the road.

To be or not to be for both teams today, and if Arsenal can't beat this bad Newcastle team than they don't deserve to win anything this season.
H2H previous matches is on Arsenal side and they recently played with Newcastle in FA cup and won only after extra time.
Should be home win but nothing would surprise me.
