I agree that Manchester City will fight for the championship and I think they can become champions again. Manchester United after the acquisition of Ronaldo, in my opinion, also has very good chances to fight for the championship, but for Chelsea I am not so sure. I have a hunch that Chelsea will have a mid-season slump, as Tuchel often did in Borussia. Perhaps the reason, is that the players was are either overworked or injured.

I agree with you. Even though Liverpool couldn't beat Chelsea that played with 10 players for a whole half, they tried every way they could to beat them. Leicester and West Ham are good teams. They are stable enough. But they are not strong enough to win the title. They often use defensive tactics against strong teams and want to draw matches. This will be a good season with all good transfers and all. League is filled with more star players now, and teams have filled in some more potential players yet to shine. It will be a great season I feel it. Spurs have made some good signings and I think Nuno is gonna use them really well. He is gonna manage them better than Mourinho IMO. Liverpool haven't made much signings but do they need anything? I don't think there is any desperate need now.

You forgot Leicester, West Ham in title race. They sure are underdogs and even I think it is a difficult road for them but they sure are gonna upset some big teams.

Manchester City have an away game against Leicester this weekend. It seems like a really tough game but I expect City to defeat them with a decent gap. I think that City will have the control of the game and make the score 2-0 or so already in the first half. They are in a really good form in the recent times. Leicester beat City in the Community Shield game but this is the Premier League. City would take revenge on them.

every previous season was like that, spurs' performance was always good at the beginning of the season, but nearing the middle of the season even until the end of the season there were always obstacles for spurs.

This season can turn out to be the opposite of what you thought it would be. I mean, MU has stepped up their offense. All the teams have stepped up. Yes, Tottenham are in the lead now, but it's the beginning of the season. We still have 30+ games ahead of us and things can turn upside down. For me, the contenders to win the championship are MC, MU, and Leicester.

These results has something to do with the depth of the squad. Tottenham cannot sustain playing at a high level in all competitions. The Premier League is already tough to win and they still have other cups to participate. I do wonder how Leicester can compete with teams that has deeper pockets.
