Its a home game for Aston Villa and the last time Aston Villa play a home game against one of these top teams, it was a memorable 7-2 score for Liverpool. Aston Villa is the dark horse this season, I wouldnt be surprised with the results

However recent news shows that there is a possibility that tomorrow the game between Aston Villa vs Liverpool on FA Cup might be cancelled due to covid. This could somehow affect their performance against Tottenham on EPL ( or probably the match would be cancelled as well )

I've seen some news that Aston Villa is not taking it as priority and are thus resting out their whole 1st team squad since it's an EFL fixture and don't want to take risks with covid out there. They are likely to test their U23 squad and roll out for their match against Liverpool. I think same would be for Liverpool as they have also match against United and they also wouldn't want to take risks.

That is the case now with many teams from Premier League regarding Epl cup.I think though teams like Burnley,Wba and Fulham might go all out and have this as a major objective because the Premier League has gone wrong for them this year up until now.

After a defeat against the Manchester City, Manchester United has an internal problem. A drama with Van De Beek who want to leave the club. I feel sympathy with him as he was put on the bench for so long. He is bearing enough ignorance from Solskajer and his disappointment, angry is understandable as he joined the club with lots of hope, promises to have an official position and maybe play as one of core player for Man Utd.

I don't understand what happened with Donny Van De Beek.

Van de Beek urged to push for Man Utd transfer as De Boer sounds Euros warning

He’s a really talented guy, I don’t know why Ole is preferring McTominay or whatever his name is, to VDB. If VDB is to leave then I don’t blame him, he is too good to be an unused sub. The guy was a star for Ajax in the CL, he deserves more of a chance.
Leaving VDB on the bench is not justifiable at all for such a young promising star that cost them $35M,  Man Utd should loan him back to Ajax probably when his services is needed he should be recall
Its a pity that playing with a star studded club like Man Utd  can be very competitive for new youngstars who will need to prove their mettle else they will be benched, Ole should have play this guy in EFL matches to prove himself.
Yeah I think the boy is good and should be given a chance.  But remember we're playing against Manchester City not Newcastle or Rangers.  We need to make our beat players available.  Everyone's time will come when it's right. Remember matic was one a regular starter when mc was also sitting

If we look at the head to head match between Aston Villa and Tottenham, it is very clear that Tottenham is superior, because Aston Villa has only
beaten Tottenham once. Therefore, the Aston Villa vs Tottenham match is indeed the possibility that Tottenham will win the match.

Yes, Tottenham have a very big psychological dominance against Aston Villa. But when I looked at their last head-to-head matches, I saw that Aston Villa were very bad in the league. Things are different now and this match is open for suprises.

forget that Aston Villa this season is very different, this season Aston Villa managed to beat several strong teams. This makes the game very interesting
to look forward to, especially since Tottenham's last 5 games in the Premier League have not been so good, only managed to win once. This makes
the match difficult to predict.

Tottenham are going to play an away game against Aston Villa next week. Tottenham are 4th with 29 points and Aston Villa are the 8th with 26 points. Aston Villa had a better performance comparing to Tottenham on the last 5 matches in the league. I would like to indicate something that Aston Villa demolished Liverpool here 7-2. I think they will play really good against Tottenham too. I love watching Son-Kane duo. Tottenham have 29 goals in the league and 22 of them belongs to this duo which is insane. I expect a really tough match and we could watch at least 3 goals in this match.
I hope Tottenham will win this match. Tottenham have won their previous match. Although they have been out of form in some matches, I think they are back in form now. And the biggest thing is that Tottenham has not lost in any of the five matches they have played against Aston Villa. And won 5 matches. I hope Tottenham win the next match

Tottenham is very strong right now as Kane and Son doing very good job for their team and they are strong contender for top spot right now but they need to carry on with this form if they have no injury or any other serious issue then surely they can shock any big team in coming matches against Aston Villa they can win.

If you're talking about van de Beek's stats for Man Utd since his arrival, you might want to consider his limited playing time. He doesn't get to start games and he doesn't even come in as a substitute in most games and when he eventually comes on, the game is usually far gone. This is similar to Cavani's situation  before Ole decided to start giving him more opportunities. Ighalo is also facing a similar problem in Man Utd at the moment. I mean, why sign these players when you won't give them an opportunity to prove their worth?
This problem is recurrent and generalised in different teams and in different leagues, like Ozil in Arsenal, Bale in Real Madrid, Eriksen in Inter, Dybala in Juve and the list is long... It depends mainly in the relationship (professional or not) between staff/managers and the player, once it becomes bad it is over and the poor guy has to start from somewhere else Undecided

Yes, I'm fully aware of all of them. I was just trying to prove a point that judging VDB performances and stats using other the few times he has made an appearance for Man Utd isn't justifiable. If he was given several opportunities to prove himself and he messed up all the opportunities, then that's a different case entirely.

Aside from personal or professional issues a player might have with the coach or other management staffs of the club, The most common reason why players usually find a way out of a club is when they don't get enough playing time. You won't achieve so much for being on the sidelines.

He might be talented, but maybe not that special at the moment.
This is his stats on the premier league. Despite his minute's play, this stats is not that impressive.

I haven't seen him significantly become a core of the united play. it will be difficult for him to get more attention from Ole.

I think Manchester City played well yesterday night and deserved the win. However Manchester United I think is more focused on the Premier League rather than the Efl cup and that is probably the reason why they lost yesterday evening.Mancheste City is coming again on the rise and should win easily against Brighton this upcoming week.
In the EFL Cup final, mancity will face Tottenham, this is a tough opponent, but mancity should be able to win if he can control ball control in his game.
Focus more on efl to win because EPL has a long way to go..

Right now we know how city are bad against counter attacking and Spurs are very good on that. Controlling ball is one thing but that doesn't gives you the win. City have 4 months to prepare and that is enough to  tighten up defense and fix the holes they have. Guardiola has lot of time to prepare his squad but so does Spurs. It will be good finale to watch. Now it is still in week 18 and the points are not too far away as long as you can win you can definitely catch up with the first table, Liverpool are now not as aggressive as last season and any team can beat it especially Mancity, I believe Pep is able to restore first position again this season. .

Van de Beek transfer to manutd was a panic buy, their top targets were Sancho and Jack Grealish, they needed to strengthen their attack they never wanted a midfielder. They needed Jack. Grealish who is a utility player he can play LW, RW, and AM but the deal failed after he signed a 5 years renewal deal with Aston Villa, and also they were unable to reach an agreement with Dortmund demands of £120m for Sacho. so they had no option than to get VDB who they thought could play AM too since they were desperate to sign someone and VDB was open to playing in the top European league too. The move hasn't gone as expected due to unlimited game time.

He’s a really talented guy, I don’t know why Ole is preferring McTominay or whatever his name is, to VDB. If VDB is to leave then I don’t blame him, he is too good to be an unused sub. The guy was a star for Ajax in the CL, he deserves more of a chance.

I don't know why they bought in the first place when they had Bruno Fernandes. Now Bruno Fernandes is playing so well that he has now made his position solid in first team picture. With that, I can understand manager stand in playing Bruno and making De Beek on standby. Van de Beek is not a natural defensive midfielder while McTominay is. I've seen Ole testing out Van de Beek on that position but that also takes time to adjust there as well given they have already 4 defensive midfielders- Fred, McTominay, Pogba and Matic. So it becomes quite a difficult situation for manager as well.

Maybe loaning him out for the time being. Its good to send him out on loan to develop elsewhere.

There is no problem at Manchester united; Media houses simply needs click for their article. Manchester United lost to a big team in CITY; not some mediocre team, Why does everyone wants to believe the team is struggling ? Donny Van De Beek should earn his position; he has the match in the FA Cup vs Watford to do so
