Very disappointing outcome of the match, Chelsea didn't play that badly to lose 2-0 to united. When I saw the lineup, I was furious but after taking sometime to think, I just hope Lampard's gamble paids off. He rested our top scorer for the champions league game coming soon and started players like Batshuayi which cost use this match with the numerous chances he missed.
Giroud had an impact that was worth mentioning, his linkup passes where superb and that brilliant header that got rules out by VAR for offside, just wished he started instead of Batshuayi. Pedro was confused although the match as his presence wasn't not felt.
Mount has been criticized all season but that free kick was something else, more from him in that manner and he might just win back the Chelsea supporters heart. Nevertheless the boys tried their best and it's disappointing to know that Ole was able to beat us in all competition this season.
Ps: Ighalo physicality shouldn't be underestimated, he got alot of goals in him. Congratulations on his debut (which he almost scored).
@CryptopreneurBrainboss I had a gut feeling which told me that I should wager a bet on Manchester United to win the match, but since they have not produced consistent results this season I avoided placing a bet and now I regret it lol.
The match would have been turned in Chelsea’s favour had Maguire been given the red card when the score was goalless, now whether it was a red card or not I guess it’s difficult to say as each one will have different opinions regarding it.
I believe Chelsea didn’t play that bad, but they were screwed by VAR who disallowed two of their goals and that really impacted their rhythm.
As a Manchester United fan I’m happy with those three points as it moves us one step closer to play in the champions league, and Chelsea fans should be worried as their top 4 spot is no longer secured.
