What do you mean "EPL has lost a strong opponent"? Huh The ban is only with regards to the UEFA Champions League. It (currently) has no bearing on the EPL at all. It also doesn't come into affect until the NEXT season (2020-2021 season) of UCL football. City are still able to continue playing in the UCL this season.
Yeah, I think so,
But the mental state of every player, coach and team management in Manchester City is upset. It will take some time to recover from this situation, until they will be left in a lot of back-foot in the tournament's performance. If they overcompensate the mantle depression and return to the field as before, they will have a chance to stay in the top four.
Good luck to Manchester City in the next match. Hopefully they will come back to their former form.

Watched the entire match. Arsenal wasn't convincing in first half but second half was definitely exciting from an Arsenal fans' perspective. Dani Ceballos played well after returning from Injury. It is evident that he was missed in the middle during his absence.

Just a thought, Where would arsenal be without Aubameyang?  Grin

Arsenal didn't really play convincingly, but I don't think the scoreline is harsh on Newcastle's performance though, they were barely resistant. I'd rather Arsenal fans don't really dwell on this victory, there's still a lot of work to be done with no the squad. However IArteta seemed to know what he's doing, it would be in Arsenal's best interest to keep him for a longer period, at least until next season.
Arteta slowly bringing some positve impact on Arsenal if they able to keep him for next few seasons then surely we can feel Arsenal could be good in domestic with some good chance for Champions League he is man to watch for some next seasons if they are thinking about long term positive run in EPL.

I don't know why several people rate arteta impact on Arsenal as positive
It was still a poor performance barr the lamdslide win

And several draws and none goal scored cannot count as positive impact
There is need for consistency

Mourinho has taken spurs to 5th from 14th
Arteta has taken Arsenal back and forth away from 6th

It was a weird week and I wasn't really aware that games were going on honestly until I happen to come across the game on TV suddenly. Arsenal finally had a very very decisive game for them, normally we were used to seeing them play like a mid table team that they are right now and we forgot that they were actually a good team before the season started and wasn't expected to be ranked this low, they showed what they were suppose to be this season in this game and not what they were like so far.

Tottenham also had a very rough game but they got away with three points, that is really good for them as well, they really needed it, considering how City has a penalty now and can't go to Europe, I am 99% sure that Tottenham will be there next season, at least they will if they continue like this.

I was a bit surprised from Arsenal performance yesterday especially when they didn’t score before 35th minute of the game. Then the game ended 4-0 and it was a surprise result for me but really good for Arsenal.

Indeed it is surprising for Arsenal because it has won with a landslide score 4-0 over Newcastle, it means that Arsenal are confident that in the future it will be better, I want to see arsenal more confident again and can compete in position 5 and above will be more exciting to get CL seats later next season.

-snip-

There will be still be same number of clubs from Premier League. That number is connected with league coefficient and that shouldn't be affected by City ban. They will just shift up in pecking order.

So there are many clubs that have the opportunity win the tickets for UCL next season to replace City because the difference points between ranks 5 to 11 only 6 changes are still very likely to occur.

The match between Chelsea and Man United I see United have a chance to get points either 1 or 3 because United often play well when competing with big teams

Sky sports gave Chelsea a 50% chance to win the game against Manchester United, a draw 27%. There is a huge rivalry between both teams and even though there is a gap between both teams, it's a very difficult match to predict. The Reds has on more than a couple of occasions this season pulled up brilliant performances against the top teams.
I would probably combine a Chelsea victory with the two matches from tomorrows UCL match (yet to decide my prediction).

Liverpool just did their job and won with a minimal result against the last place of the standings which show they are focused to the Champions League now.

Chelsea v. ManU: Will be a draw... either 0-0 or 1-1... it'll most likely be a fairly dour affair with a lot of defending. Neither team wants (nor can afford) to lose this one.

skip

If the draw between Chelsea vs. Manchester United I thought it would not happen tonight I think in the second club there will be one who wins from one of them, Maybe Chelsea will be better than Man. United. My prediction scores 2-1.
I say like this that Chelsea will confidently maintain their current position and be in the 4th standings.

Many people predicts that it will end in a draw, then you predict that Chelsea will win. No one predict that MU will be able to beat Chelsea? So let me be one of those who hope that MU will win it LoL. I'm not a fan of both teams, but I just want to see a great game instead of a boring game between these two teams.

The point is there has to be a surprise in the Chelsea vs Man United match. I know the two clubs have a great attack so they can say they will fight each other to win tonight.
But I believe the lampard strategy is greater than Ole, so I chose Chelsea in this victory.

So happy about the results from yesterday. I know I keep saying this about my team and I know I keep saying I am not expecting but every win brings us closer to the Europe spots,,, and if City really do get the ban, maybe 5th will even be enough? Mourinho was never my favorite manager but at least he has not been his usual self from before. Attack and we will win!

Edit: Ozil this time and Arsenal 3 - 0.
That goal "broke a record [for this season] in the premier league".

Just a thought, Where would arsenal be without Aubameyang?  Grin
In a similar position...
- We can easily fill his spot with Gabriel Martinelli [energetic, younger and knows how to find the back of the net].

Not a big deal really, just behind Norwich  Tongue
That's savage Cheesy

Chelsea vs ManU tomorrow, hard to predict imo, i would say a draw maybe 1-1?
Based on their last encounter [4-0 to Man U], I'm predicting a 1-2 win for Man U.

No one predict that MU will be able to beat Chelsea?

MU is actually quite good against the big six (because they play counter-attack/reaction style football), as long as they got Rashford. What they do most of the time is to play a long ball or quick passes and use the pace of their winger/striker. It might not work if the opposition's defense can position themselves well or they're as fast as the front three. Still, I can't say for sure which one will win this match.

Predictions for the next 2 games...

Chelsea v. ManU: Will be a draw... either 0-0 or 1-1... it'll most likely be a fairly dour affair with a lot of defending. Neither team wants (nor can afford) to lose this one.

ManC v. West Ham: Could be an interesting game... City might be out to prove a point, West Ham perhaps sensing vulnerability. The decision against City might be playing on the players minds, but it could also be a bit like being reduced to 10 men... sometimes that galvanises a team and makes them more resolute. On the other side West Ham might see an opportunity to sneak a win against a "wounded" opponent.

I would suspect that ManC will run out winners, as they're still full of class players and, let's be honest, West Ham's defense is almost non-existent... City 2-0 I think.

And for Man City game in Wednesday, well Westham has an opportunity vs a psychologically devastated team and they should profit from it to get away. However I predict 1-0 for City

Arsenal is not having a good season and if you ask them without Aubameyang then they will be a team who will not even have the strength of MK Don (Just popped in mind cause I lived in Milton Keynes long years).

Come on Castle. One goal please! Make my wish come true 😜
Around 10 minutes to go including the extra time I guess and it looks like Arsenal will be able to mange 3 points from this match after few boring draw in last few matches.
Still 2 -0.

Edit: Ozil this time and Arsenal 3 - 0.

Mikel celebrates!
