Leicester lost yesterday showing their recent weak form both in the Premier League and the FA cup.Aston Villa played well yesterday and although it was a lucky goal in the end of the regular time in the 93th minute I think it was a deserved win.The FA cup is entering in interesting stages.

Westham hosts title leaders Liverpool today at the London stadium. West ham have performed poorly this season. 23 points from 23 games. They're are trying to escape from relegation zone. Liverpool on the other hand, are looking to extend their lead on the top of the table to 19 points bringing the total to 70 points with 14 games to go. Considering Sadio Mané will miss out due to a  hamstring injury suffered in the 2-1 win over Wolves, do you think Liverpool can cope without him?

I'd love to hear your opinions and predictions.

My prediction:

West Ham 0 - 2 Liverpool

It is very interesting that you are predicting the score as well.
I am going to bet NG in this match as I believe that West Ham is not going to be able to score any goal in this match. The odd is pretty decent with @1.81 in some bookmakers.

Manchester United also had the opportunity to win something this season when it comes to the Carabao Cup but with their abysmal performance in the first leg of the competition,  there is no way that they will be able to make it into the finals after they lost by 3-1. It will take a miracle for that to happen and without Rashford that miracle seems unlikely.

I never say never in football. Competitions are a strange thing. Remember Spurs knocked out City in Champions League and we really should have lost it but a few minutes of magic and panic I like to say and everything can happen in 5 minutes. 2 goals is totally not impossible if the City defence has off days!

From the statistics so far, even without Mane Liverpool will still be superior to West Ham. The question is, will West Ham look great in this match? This is very important because to be able to keep up with Liverpool a little, every team in the English league this season has to look extraordinary with enthusiasm. This might put pressure on Liverpool. They must utilize the support of the audience to play their best. I want to see this match draw.

If you look at the statistics of both teams in the Premier League this season, it seems, Liverpool are too superior to West Ham. Supposedly the later match will be easy for Liverpool. But if you see the results of the last duel between the two teams, where West Ham who also acted as the host was able to hold draw Liverpool with a score of 1-1.

I think in the later match West Ham will put up a fight, Liverpool will have a little trouble to winning the match later, especially without Sadio Mane.

Even so, I predict Liverpool will win, but only by a difference of 1 goal with a final score of 0-1 or 1-2.

Aston Vila just scored during the dying moments of the game against Leceister to book a place in the EFL Cup final on March 1st.

It's was not a boring and Aston Villa did played well and do deserve their win, Leicester were the better side after the break and had a few chances after equalizing to win the game. The match look to heading towards penalty kicks just before the egyptian duo of Trezeguet and Elmohamady shattered the Foxes hopes of reaching the finals.

Sadio Mane is injured for this match but you would still expect Liverpool to win. West Ham have been terrible all season but I guess you never know.
This is a loss for Liverpool. But the good news is he won't pull over for a long time. I think West Ham could make it difficult for Liverpool if they really want to stay in the English league for next season. Because their position in the standings is very dangerous. If they manage to draw or even less win, their position will rise in the standings. However, if they lose more than 3 goals, they will go down to rank 18th

Btw, bookies don't seem to think West Ham have a chance of winning tomorrow. West Ham to WIN currently @8/1 odds.

Those are steep odds, but not as steep as I would expect, lol.  Crazy thing is the bookies' odds seem to favor City more than LFC in their respective matches.  This is despite the fact that LFC has won 95.7% of their matches, and City has only won 66.7% this season.  I guess the longer LFC's winning streak goes the less likely it is to continue, but I don't see it ending tomorrow.

Looking at the cup right now there are still a lot of good teams left, Arsenal is still a good team and sure of course they could win it as well but I wouldn't give it my all that they would win it. Unfortunately for them, it looks like they won't be doing anything this year, not champions league, not European cup, because they will not be good in league after this moment, they may recover a bit but not good enough to actually pull off something so major to make a jump towards European places, cup also looks like a big challenge for them and unlikely so they have literally nowhere else to go.

When something like this happens the trouble is, these teams gets paid less as well and it makes things harder for the future seasons too, they make a debt to get better and if they don't it gets even worse and worse.

Bournemouth 1-2 Arsenal
Less people care about the FA Cup these days but Arsenal into the next round. It’s a good chance for them to win a cup as they’re not able to win the league or CL right now.

It should be expected that Arsenal would win this game.
I hope that this win is going to be a starter for Arsenal in order to move this winning streak to the Premier League as well.

What do you think about Man. Utd, then?
I think they need some winning much more than Arsenal.
I was so obsessed with the situation of Man Utd that last night I saw my dream Solskjær said he wanted to return to playing football.  Grin

That is a nice dream. However Manchester United needs more real world improvement rather than dreaming to get better. They are playing well in the FA cup at least against teams of lower divisions.Arsenal sees the FA cup as an opportunity to win something this year so they have focused there as their main objective this year.

Carabao Cup will be difficult for Manchester United to go into the final because mancity is very strong compared to Man. United especially since they have lost in the first leg with a score of 3-1.
The miracle will not appear for man.unite because they still have to improve their performance to be able to beat mancity in this competition.

I don't know why but this made laugh haha You really don't like Kepa, do you?  Cheesy

It would really suck that Liverpool's unbeaten run comes to an end because of David Moyes (but i would enjoy the memes LOL), but it wouldn't be the end of the world, I mean, Pool will still have a 16 pts lead, FFS!  Cheesy

Judging by your last match week in our betting pool on Superbru I should listen to your predictions Cheesy
What do you think, I went 2-0 LFC.

Already picked 0:3 LFC wins. Everything is possible, but I am of the opinion West Ham can't make a surprise.
West Ham has destroyed by Leicester which is btw in a crisis of the results and without injured Vardy, scored from penalty. It is not enough to do anything against Liverpool who left heavy matches behind (Man.Utd and Wolves). They can play relax, probably some players from the bench will have more time like Origi, and they will give his best to bring manager attention.

West Ham vs Liverpool, a delayed game from round 18, seems a good chance for Liverpool to advance more in the first position. However, the three points will make West Ham go up by 2 ranks, that why I think it is interesting match to watch.

Sadio Mane is injured for this match but you would still expect Liverpool to win. West Ham have been terrible all season but I guess you never know.

Don't forget West Ham manager David Moyes, he doesn't know how to play against big teams, as if afraid of them.

You should stick with the first team you pick as a young boy. I’m 33 & I’ve never seen us (LFC) win the title. I was too young to follow football the last time LFC won it.

I’ve spent tens of thousands of pounds following my team around the country & Europe. I would never change teams, true fans don’t do that.

I’ve been through the bad times as an LFC fan, rival fans have mocked us for decades with the odd cup win here & there enough to shut them up for maybe a bit.

For me my team is like my gf, if she got fat & ugly I’d still be here with her. You can’t change teams if you are a true fan.

Wow this is the same argument I exactly got with a few friends last year.

Now I am a Spurs fan, so you know I have never won anything ever since I supported them around 15 years or more ago. I am not even English but I did not support a particular club in my country because,,, so many reasons. Half of the club players are not even from my country, the players generally move around and no loyalty and the country does not give enough attention. Whatever. But I saw Spurs playing and loved their motto. Actually I even remember we changed our logo shortly after I started following.

Did we win anything ever? Never! OK one league cup is not nothing but I will not pretend we always fall. I respect Liverpool fans (who were there since Owen times). They always made teams like us believe we can also go on and win big things even with a small squad with not a lot of money.

So I don't call myself a true Spurs fan, because I wasn't born there and I never followed them my whole life,,, but at least I will never change my club now I have one. Even if we never win. And we almost did last season but it was so unlucky we met Liverpool.

How can you ever think of changing teams? Even when Poch left, even when Mou took over, even if Harry Kane says he hates us even if we left our old stadium, why can we ever change?

The small clubs outside the EPL love it (and their supporters).  It's (or might be) their only chance to play vs the big clubs like LFC, United, City, etc...
