Alisson has returned the practice ground at Anfield, he's got recovered his injuries and makes comfortable both for the team and himself also, I think with him, Liverpool is stronger than in previous games, Already they have gained 8 points lead at the end of 8th round, so they are clearly ahead of the league title in this season, not only that they are playing also well as a compact team, most of the players are performing following their coaches strategy. so if they continue their performance the EPL title should go the Liverpool's trophy case, but I must afraid of Manchester United because they are in the 12th position which is the worst result I have ever seen, it's totally unexpected result from a big giant team.

Lukaku and especially Alexis didn't do much when they were there. Pogba is far better than both even given his disappointing form.

[/quote]
Selying Lukaku and not replacing him is one of the main reason why Manchester United are currently struggling, it's okay secret that Lukaku has some problems when it comes to scoring against the big teams but his goal tally against the other clubs were very impressive and am sure that they are currently missing those goals very much. I seem to recall Solksjaer benching him a lot during last season making him feel  unwelcomed.

@hilarious - United could raise their levels because it’s a Derby. I dunno, Liverpool should win but it really wouldn’t surprise me to see United grab a point with a really defensive display.

De Gea just injured himself taking a goal kick, looks like a pulled hamstring or something. He had to be helped off the pitch. Things coming together nicely for the weekend Wink

Cheesy. I really hope United lose. By a lot. I'm still not sure whether to go for the draw or Liverpool win. I'll wait for the line ups before I commit. De Gea could be back by then.

I wouldn't say Lampard understands his players perfectly, but it's better now. Football is an exciting sport because what happens off the pitch is not reported but affect the performance on the pitch. He still has a long way to go, but it's better than Solksjaer.

Hahaha i wonder where the "Ole on the wheel" chants vanished to  Grin
He started out so impressively, after securing the job the things started falling apart. The current Manchester United just need a complete overhaul.

The best thing United should have done in the summer was to get rid of the likes of Pogba, ashley young etc and also bring in new world class attackers to replace the likes of Lukaku and Alexis. But they never did that and for all we know, United might even struggle to make it to the top 8

do man utd have any backed up keeper to cover for De Gea?

Of course they do. Most teams have at 2 extra keepers on their books and will always have one on the bench. Man United's second keeper is Sergio Romero and they also have another reserve in Lee Grant who will likely be on the bench in the next game if De Gea isn't fit.

Today is the last day of the Euro 2020 Qualifying Round. I can't wait to see the premiere league match on Saturday. so far it seems that no player in the premier league has been injured while playing for his country right?
Most of the major international games have already been played and everyone is looking forward to the Manchester United and Liverpool game which is without doubt the biggest this coming weekend. I saw a sport pundit giving his opinion about the best players in the two teams and there wasn't a single Manchester United player in the lineup.
Unfortunately Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has limped off during in the game while on duty for Spain against Sweden do man utd have any backed up keeper to cover for De Gea? I hope the team should avoid humiliating defeat else they will begin to battle relegation which is an embarrassing moment of a team of such caliber i just hope they put up a fight against Liverpool to avoid sacking of Solskjaer.

He started out so impressively, after securing the job the things started falling apart.

If he wants to have a successful career, he would have to solve that issue and maintain ascendency or at least consistency. The is something most too managers have.
Look at Marco Silva, the Everton boss. He hit the ground running very quickly and the club invested lots into the club to back him up, but his team just fell apart after a while, just like Watford.

Ole has to find a way to make it stick not for six months or a season, but consistently.

Lampard’s proved in 3 months that he’s a better manager than Solksjaer & he wasn’t even permitted to sign anybody in the summer. Solksjaer will be sacked by New Year I think.

The fun point is that there were a lot of people saying that Lampard is going to have hard times in Chelsea's bench.
And now they cheer for Lampard while they mourn about Solskjaer's performance and Manchester United results.
In my opinion, Man Utd players don't want Ole and they don't try enough to win.
Right now these both clubs facing some difficult time but Mancherster United facing some off the ground problems which are killing them they need to solve them and if few players have some problem then surely they have to drop them for the sack of club otherwise they are going to face some serious trouble in coming days.

Neither of them have accomplished anything so far though, so how come you think one is better than the other? One team has two more wins than the other but that doesn't say much about who's the better manager :/

Do not underestimate a world-class goalkeeper like Sergio Romero  Cool  LOL

On a serious note, wtf is up with Man Utd and the players getting injured so often?

when the lampard started the season and his first match against United man ended in a crushing defeat. I think OGS more better than lampard, but in fact the current standings position what proves lampard really worth it. I also think sooner or later OGS will be sacked,it seems that he is not qualified yet to be manager in the EPL.

I don't think it proves he's a better manager as there's lots of factors involved. I don't think Man United's bad form is just down to Ollie. They're just not playing well as a team and its been the same for all their managers since Fergie left really. I don't think sacking him will do much good and I'm sure whoever they get would just go on to have the same run of form more or less. The game against Liverpool will be crucial for him. I don't think anyone expects United to win, but if they can or at the very least scrape a point from the match then maybe that will give Ollie a lifeline. Who would even want to manage United at this point??? Seems like career suicide at this point.

How do you win?Huh Doesn't seem to say how its scored.

What do you mean?  Just pick 7 correct goal scorers at the given matches and you win 1 BTC.  5 and 6 correct picks have consolation prizes.

Well I wasn't sure whether it was some sort of fantasy thing where you have to pick the best player. It doesn't seem to say anywhere that it's the goalscorer and they include the keeper so that's what had me questioning. Is it to score anytime or be the first scorer?

Frank Lampard already understands Chelsea players now, and Chelsea players have begun to understand the strategy given by Lampard. Their appearance was very different from their first match when they lost against Manchester United.

I wouldn't say Lampard understands his players perfectly, but it's better now. Football is an exciting sport because what happens off the pitch is not reported but affect the performance on the pitch. He still has a long way to go, but it's better than Solksjaer.

they are both the same, still new in terms of being a football team coach. But I agree with you, Frank Lampard is better than Ole in terms of his coaching career. Lampard successfully bring Derby County to the Championship play-offs despite losing to Leeds but in my opinion, it was a remarkable achievement for a former player who has just tried a coaching career.

None so far but there are still some Euro Qualification, World Cup Qualification and African Qualification matches left before Week 9 Premier League start. Beside man united vs liverpool, i want to see chelsea match vs newcastle because i can see chelsea become better and better right now after some matches with frank lampard.

Chelsea first match under lampard coaching was indeed a way to get to this day. But this is not enough, Chelsea must always be used in their matches. Because lampard is already starting to look will be able to bring Chelsea to be even better.

I also saw it lol, But that is just a pundit opinion, players from both teams can play beyond the expectations and predictions of the pundit. because this is a big match between the two teams with its history and the players will provide the best game for their fans
