I never thought the day would come when I would say this,,, but Eriksen just needs to leave the club as soon as possible. IF he does not want to play, that is fine. But if he is sitting on the bench to punish him, it just sends all the wrong vibes to the club and players and this is the result of what happens. Only our 3rd game and we lose, to Newcastle!
I remember Pochettino doing the same thing to Derrick Rose when there was some rumours of Manchester United coming to sign him in 2017, He was benched till the transfer window was over. It's almost the same trend he used, But same of the blame should be on Eriksen, going public on his desire to leave and even Real Madrid hasn't made any bid as far as i can tell.

I think it is totally Eriksen's mistake.
First of all it is very unprofessional to make such a statement.
And secondly now that he had disrespected the spurs the fans will want him destroyed so the best option would be to bench him and never let him play in ste starting line again.

Only 3 games played by each team so far and it's only Liverpool that hasn't dropped points yet. This is going to be one hell of an interesting season.
But Early signs show that It might be A Liverpool vs Man City Title race against. Both teams seam to be sharp in-front of goal.

Yes, so far Liverpool have shown their quality and were able to win the first three matches. And they have passed Arsenal with a pretty good score which shows that Liverpool deserve to be a candidate to win the title this season. Burnley will be the next team to face and I don't think Liverpool will have an obstacle with it.

I don't think it is Ericsen fault, last year during the initial games you made a draw against Bournemouth so it is more a wrong motivation of the team. You cannot expect to win easily whatever game if all the players don't feel the eager to win and are also greatly motivated by the coach and team management.

but Eriksen just needs to leave the club as soon as possible.

It never helps a club to keep a player who obviously wants to play somewhere else, regardless of how important the player is to the club. Of course there's the discussion of a worthy offer and the perfect destination (would not want to be playing regular against your ex player), preferably to another country.
It's similar to the Pogba situation and Neymar to an extent. Once a player wants to leave they feel alienated from the clubs goals and would shirk responsibility if they fall into a rough patch.

Not only this season they are competing.
In the previous season it also happened, I am not surprised that the English league now competing more attractively is Liverpool and Manchester City.
Liverpool were very impressive in 3 EPL matches, they got 3 wins and Manchester City only got a draw the rest they won.

I was very happy to see Man City win and over 2.5 goals were scored but I missed out in the Tottenham match as I thought that this match would also have many goals scored as it was played at Tottenham's home but they played poor and Newcastle deserved the win.

They didn't play that bad. It's like City vs Newcastle last season when City got lost in the end. They needed to work harder for sure, but anything is possible in football. It's not a chess game.

Interestingly, no one has perfect clean sheets now. Both City and Liverpool already got 3 goals against them. Need to work out their defense too.

Tottenham was a surprise tonight but they can't blame the referees or the VAR for that.Even though that officials made a wrong call by denying a penalty to Tottenham the game is 90 minute long, they didn't show any great football tonight and may be Newcastle deserved to win this game.

Tottenham Hotspurs were denied a clear penalty when even the the officials took a long time deliberating the outcome with the VAR, if officials are able to make the wrong call even with the help of VAR, i really don't know why they should even bother in the first place and because of this Tottenham were denied at least a point in the game.
You mean officials used VAR and awarded a penalty to Tottenham but they denied? If this is true then that's crazy however I would say it's another example of sportsmanship. They must thought that the decision was wrong and decided not to take it.

I did not see any of the match today but I was speculating City to win by 3 - 1 goals and they did but very sad to see the result in Tottenham vs Newcastle match. Is it that Tottenham played bad or it's Newcastle who out played Tottenham?

The way things we have seen so far in this three rounds, I can tell that we are going to see another battle between Liverpool vs City for the season titile race.

I also think - even though its obviously very early in the season - that pool and city will battle again for the crown

Spurs 0 - 1 Newcastle

Imagine having one of the best young talents in europe (Lo Celso) and one of the best creative midfielders in the world (Eriksen), both on the bench,  while the likes of Lamela and Winks are in the starting XI. Imagine having 80% ball possesion but barely any clear chances...But, most of all, imagine losing at home to Steve fucking Bruce!! LOOL  Grin

Spurs is light years behind Liverpool and City. After two weeks of EPL, I have pretty certain idea of how the league is gonna go from here: Pool and City will be the only title contenders, Spurs and Arsenal may fight for 3rd place, while Chelsea and Man Utd will struggle to make it into the top 4...shocking prediction, right?  Roll Eyes

Also, my parlays went to shit thanks to spurs and wolves dropping points. Current record: 7W | 11L

English league match week 3 is over.

AFC Bournemouth 1-3 Manchester City
Tottenham Hotspur 0 - 1 Newcastle United
Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 Burnley

Liverpool and Manchester City are only 2 points apart for the time being, it's really interesting to see them competing at the top of the EPL.
And it is unfortunate for Spurs who lost points at home. Burnley lost their win at the end of the second half and only gained 1 point.

^  It took Liverpool a couple of decades before they got it going again challenging for trophies.  It could happen to United and I wouldn't be surprised if it does happen.

I think Jurgen Klopp is thinking of a league and a Champions League title together, He will do what Zidane did with Real in the past seasons.

MU is just shit, no hope for that team after sacking Mourinho.  When I said to Chelsea
Behold, the new Arsenal/ManUtd is born!
I was hoping that Chelsea can go down at the same level as Arsenal/MU, but they bounce back Grin sh*t Grin

Also, the last match was shocking! MU needs to reform the top-level management if they want to stay competitive.
If Manchester United is not going to take action early then surely they are going to pay for this as right now they are going down badly and its not good signal for them they surely have to have some very quick decisions and need to change management for good of this Legit Club.
