Can we talk about how Arsenal have the chance to reach 3rd place today!? I think the last time they were so close to the top was in 2016, when  they finished 2nd and Leicester won the league.

At the start of the season, I thought Emery was going to have a hard time trying to get the team in the top 4, I thought they were going to enter the race for the europa league spots and that was it...Now, here they are, in the fight for 3rd place, who would've thought?

^  That could happen.  City has more tough fixtures to play in the EPL, drew a tough club at the CL quarter finals and their still in the FA Cup.  It would be tough managing the next few weeks.  Lol.

One of the trophies will be lost and certainly not an EPL trophy also for CL it is still the target they will focus on these two competitions
So far M.city is the strongest candidate to win the EPL trophy and Liverpool became the main competitor

I know it's an own goal, but if it wasn't for Salah's never-say-die attitude and a great head that never dips down, we'd never have had that goal. Good game, you Reds! We're were still on edge with the game going to 7th min injury time, probably 3 mins added on to that clash of heads with Fabinho, but damn this was an entertaining game. Chances went begging, a lot of frustrated faces, but damn that was a hell of a winning goal.

City, you're going to have to really fight for this. And Spurs, don't worry, you can still beat City, knock them out too, why not?

@tokeweed. Really unexpected Sunday isn't it?Wink

Heh...  It always is lately.  Lol.  That's why I quit making bets atm.  I don't even watch the matches.  I just check the scores online.

Liverpool won over Tottenham, I think they still have a great chance to win the league this season. man.city could be more focused on UCL and eventually ignored competition in the domestic league, given their chances of winning a bigger league.

I couldn't expect that Liverpool is going to win this match. I mostly expected a tie.
Liverpool shows that they are a strong team that they will fight for the title till the end. I hope that we will have a clash between those two teams till the end of the Premier League with the best team winning the title.

I watched this match yesterday both teams played aggressively but Liverpool were luckier and I said it was a victory of luck after an own goal

I thought Liverpool would not win yesterday but I am so happy for them as they deserve to fight till the end of the Premier League and why not to win it.It will be difficult as Manchester City looks in top form these last games but anything can happen in the Premier League.

That's not a type of a team which is managed by Pep. Manchester will focus on both competitions, there is no reasons to ignore the domestic competition. Both titles are important, so they will struggle to achieve the best as they can.

Very unlikely of Pep to focus on just one tournament, at least not at this stage. Man City also has a great squad that can help focus on both competitions, Liverpool were finalist in the last year's UCL and will definitely be focusing on that as well.

Yup! Not only is it a personality trait of Pep, it's a personality trait for any team who want to be:
- regular champions
- have the depth in squad to do that (and City have at least 2 good teams to field, if not 3. I mean having a 3rd choice attacker in Riyad Mahrez?
- have the finances to push on all domestic and European fronts.

They're only 13 games away from an unprecedented Quadruple. You think they don't want to make history?

Imagine if that match ended with draw 1-1, it would be hard for liverpool.

If the match had ended as a draw, I'd have considered their title dream a shattered one, simply because they'd have caught Man City some slack and a chance to draw on its own tough matches, but now Man City still can't afford to drop any point.
Agreed with you. Liverpool needs to consistency and win all games right now because their rival Man City is always win and not trouble when they meet lower team. On the other hand, Liverpool sometimes hard to win against lower team. Liverpool is my favs, so i hope they can win this year.

Liverpool already through important match indeed but it's not quite safe because Man City still have 1 match remaining and if they won then first position will belongs to them again but rather than other league currently BPL looks more competitive and seems the champion of the league will determined at the end of season

in my opinion the two teams are serious and focused in the EPL and UCL competition . but ManC has a better squad depth than Liverpool. ManC has many options in placing squads in both competitions. Another case with Kloop that often Placing same squad name in both competitions. this affects the stamina and the player potential injury if they have to compete twice a week. the player are really need to rest to play well.

Liverpool again won 3 points in an important match that happened last night. This is a valuable capital because they will continue to compete with Manchester City until the last match. Focus of Liverpool is now to become an EPL champion, the chance for champions is only owned by Liverpool and Manchester City. Now Liverpool fans hope Manchester United can win the match against Manchester City on April 25, 2019. Fans of the Reds want to be above Manchester City, therefore they are now supporters of Manchester United.  Cheesy

Liverpool still have a chance but it's quite hard too. If you see the match against tottenham yesterday, Liverpool almost lose, luckly their last minute goal from Salah (maybe own goal) happened.

Imagine if that match ended with draw 1-1, it would be hard for liverpool.

although Liverpool currently topped the standings board after winning the match against spurs. but ManC still has a difference in points from the remaining matches that haven't been played. with aguero Muscle Injury Liverpool supporters really hope that ManC slips in the next match. the  EPL trophy competition towards the is still open with 7 matches left.
