The matches of tonight I think don't spark much interest in them except to the fans of each team playing. I think the teams here have nothing to play for, mostly the favourite teams as the other have a lot to fight for, they will fight for salvation from falling in the Championship.
It's West Ham vs Fullham and Cardiff City Vs Watford. Not much excited to see.
I am looking forward to see Burnley vs Tottenham and Man Utd vs Liverpool. Liverpool should not lose any point here.

^  There are some nice betting opportunities tho.  West Ham, Newcastle seem like good ML bets vs Fullham and Huddersfield.  And the Arsenal -1 also looks good vs Southampton.  Forgot the lines, too lazy to look.  But they were 1.80ish or more at Nitrogen the last time I checked.

I can't believe Liverpool is not at number one right now, when Manchester city was bad and gave them the cup so easily it should have been at least 4 point difference with a game behind so they would have been 7 points ahead of them with just 10 games left. Now they have to beat Manchester united or they will be at second spot, that is crazy.
You must missed last several weeks then. Yes there was a time when Liverpool was way ahead than anyone else in Premier League however bad performance in last few matches made the things bad for LFC.

Technically speaking they are still ahead thought. They have played one match less than Man City.

People were looking like their "Liverpool for champion" bets as sure thing just 2-3 weeks ago. Honestly, looking at where arsenal and Chelsea is located right now it would be really weird if Manchester united didn't give their best shot at this. I am not saying they will win but believe me its not going to be a one sided game. Both teams have a lot to lose and both teams need the win so much and this game will show that. I wouldn't bet on this game at any way.

^  As a neutral, I just want them to play the best football they could play and give everybody a great match.  And whoever wins, wins.

But, maybe...  Just maybe, deep inside I want the better shade of red to win.  Grin

Man are up against Chelsea tonight and are leading by 2 goals to none... Does that mean anything though ?
Utd won it by 0 - 2
Win against a good team like Chelsea is always good however that's  a different competition. I would like to see Utd lose their Match in premier league against Liverpool. No draw. I would like to see a straight win for Liverpool. This is be hard call since Man Utd are playing in the home ground.

I am predicting a 1 - 2 for Liverpool.

1-2 for Liverpool!
I am on the same page like you. Just checked your post

Hard match for both team, in the last 5 matches, Liverpool can't win against Man United at Old Trafford and Man United still unbeaten with the new manager solskjaer on premier league. On the other hand, Liverpool needs this win so bad to get back the top position. I think over 2.5 goals should be easy on that match, 1-2 for Liverpool!

I think Liverpool will be happy enough with a draw against Man Utd this weekend. A loss would be painful, but the extra point along with preserving some kind of momentum would do them very nicely.

Guys any prediction for Man Utd vs Liverpool?

Liverpool needs to win the match if they want to stay in the top. The way Man Utd played in their last Champions League match against PSG if they do the same then Liverpool is going to have an easy win. I just wish it happens 🙂

Liverpool would go back to 1st place with a draw? They woild be 1 point clear & played the same amount of games as City?

Once again Chelsea showed disappointing performance in a home match. The team has strong players but there is something else that made them perform so badly maybe the tactics, I don't know. I hope that Sarri is going to reverse the situation or Abramovich will take strict measures to tackle this downfall before it is too late.

I think if Man City beat them comfortably in the League Cup gake this coming weekend then he will be sacked shortly after. They are getting beaten too often, too easily.

The game today, another pathetic performance from Chelsea, but let's talk about Sarri, the guy made 3 subs, and none of them were to change the strategy, system, or tactics, just replacing a player for another that plays in the same position, no plan b whatsoever, Willian for Pedro, Barkley for Kovacic, and Zappacosta for Azpilicueta...just wtf is Zappacosta gonna do in the last 10 min of the game? what kind of sub is that? Just bring Hudon-odoi or Giroud onto the pitch and go for an all-out attack, you're losing 0-2 anyways...All in all, #SarriOut

What happened to Sarriball ? I think he just needs some more time, about his substitutions, only a few managers like Guardiola would made a complex or tactical changes due to enough available options.

Quote
“Barcelona were predictable but they won" was Maurizio Sarri's defence when recently quizzed on why he never makes changes to his starting line-up.

Yes, it means that Sarri might be on his way out. I'm reading on twitter that some Chelsea fans were singing "bring Mourinho back" in the stadium tonight, so it's pretty obvious that even the fans are getting tired of Sarri. I believe the only thing keeping him on Chelsea is the league cup final against City, otherwise, he would've been sacked after losing against City last week.

I'm not sure Liverpool have been pretty impressive recently too, but I think they should still be able to secure the 3 point.. I'd 2 - 0 in favor of Liverpool.

Not surprised to be honest, Newport is from lower division and this is a Cup match which is normal to happen like half time 0-0 and many goals at 2nd half and vice versa.

Yes, Newport is a team from lower tier division which is why I didn't expect them to stand up to Man City, even during the first half most teams get blown away by the Man City team I remember vividly Rotherham and Burton conceded 3 and 4 goal respectively in the first which those fixtures also ended 7 - 0 and 9 - 0 respectively.

Now, Manchester City is at the top of the standings. However, Liverpool still has one more match than the top of the table and they will compete with a large team that has a good trend since it is handled by its new coach. a difficult match for Liverpool, they have to work hard to be able to reclaim the position of top standings because they have a strong mentality for that.

Fa cup brings only some action and is more fun to watch in a way that you see stronger teams against low divisions team and you laugh when you see the team difference in the way they play football.

Premier League action will be back on 22 February next Friday with two games.
Of course it will be very interesting, judging by the match it is already apparent who will win if the stronger team against the low divisions team. It would be very embarrassing if the stronger team get loses.

Why not? When the stronger team loses from the weaker one we get more entertainment in matches like the one in FA cup.
When the strong team concedes a goal then they try to score more goals and push forward more than ever before in the game. Also, we have the chance to see valuable players joining the game in the endeavor to win it.
