So glad that Spurs managed to get the win today against a very resilient Fulham side. Our squad is looking very thin at the moment, I really think Levy needs to spend some money on the team in this January transfer window. Also, how bad was Craig Pawson the referee today? I don't think I have seen an officiating performance as bad as that all season.
I felt Tottenham was quite lucky to escape with 3 points in their hand from Craven Cottage, the goalkeeper of Tottenham Hugo Lloris has made such a bad challenge on the Fulham player in the match yesterday but the referee did not award a penalty to Fulham, I think that was quite unfair to Fulham and it cost them the game. Tottenham seems to be struggling in attack without Harry Kane and Son Heung-min now and I guess the manager might need to sign a new striker to boost the team firepower in the front line.

About to sit down & chill out to watch Huddersfield vs Man City. Hoping for a miracle & Huddersfield to take a point or three but realistically thinking Man City will batter them.

Prediction - Huddersfield 0-4 Man City

^  Hah!  Dream on.

I got money riding on City to finish above Liverpool by the end of the season (which started to look good yesterday before Salah's second goal lolol).  Grin  City don't fail me now.
^
LFC will end champions these season
I really hope so

I'm not denying that it's a possiblity.  It's a huge possibility.  But City isn't that far behind...  It's just 4 points.  Liverpool supporters shouldn't be celebrating atm.  Too early.  Wink

It was a solid win for Spurs that keep them established in the 3rd place of the Leaderboard. Tottenham seems so strong but so vulnerable at the same time. I am trying to think in which positions that the Spurs need to sign some players but I can't find any. Maybe they need to change the philosophy of the team in order to fit new players (?).

Tottenham played better but I would not consider a solid win a game which was won by luck in the 94 minute more than for Tottenham bravery. Tottenham will have a difficult time to hold the 3rd place in the rankings, I think that Arsenal form is one of the best at the moment and in the end they will finish in 3rd place in the Premier League.

That’s a good point tomahawk, I guess players like Zaha try extra hate against the big teams to try & put themselves in the shop window too. They want a big move etc so perform well against a top team gets you noticed.

Zaha's always a good player, and he actually had an extremely easy game against Milner yesterday. Love Millie heh but he's far too slow to be on the flank, still not really sure how he deputized, he actually did do well on the left back before so I still feel Robertson switching with him would be good enough. All the same, we got away with it, and Zaha's credentials only increased. You may recall Palace were terrible earlier in the season every time they didn't have the young lad.

That Liverpool v Crystal Palace game yesterday was nuts. It makes you wonder why Palace are 14th in the table when they are able to push LFC so close & also beat Man City.
I haven’t watched them play the smaller teams but what’s up with that!
Typical mid-table team mentality, play at your best against the top 4, then drop points against the likes of Watford or Cardiff. Mid table (or below) teams sometimes feel extra motivated against top clubs, though motivation doesn't always guarantee you a good result.

Watching Huddersfield vs Man City...0-1 HT...the citizens with almost 80% ball posession lol

yeah I expect city to win to... but never know with the pressure they have... A draw would be awesome as well

If they keep performing this way then I try to go for another life game as well this season Grin

LFC can be proud with their performance (but indeed it was a tuff game F***ing nail-biter)

It's going to get indeed tougher for LFC as the season draws nearer to its end, Manchester City are almost back to a full squad. They'll have a luxury of players choose from as the calender would get busier pretty soon, Liverpool in my opinion can't afford to play without two of its front line, and still play convincingly. LFC can only hope for Man City to drop points before they do, If not, the league could get even more interesting when a single lose or draw can change everything.

Aguero is back in the starting 11, this should be a comfortable win for City...
Man City XI: Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Danilo; Gundogan, Fernandinho, De Bruyne; Sterling, Aguero, Sane
Subs: Muric, Stones, Delph, Bernardo Silva, David Silva, Jesus, Foden

HAPPY NOW  Grin  Cheesy

3-2

Back home & happy with 3 points but fucking hell, why do we have to do it the hard way?

Cheesy

Any way 7 points ahead again & City have the pressure again although I expect them to beat Huddersfield tomorrow.

Arsenal managed to beat Chelsea yesterday and I think it is very important for Arsenal to gain 3 points from that match as it would allow Arsenal to maintain the 5th spot on the table temporarily, but having the goal difference advantage to maintain the lead over Manchester United on the table would not be enough, Manchester United are in great form now and I believe there is a lot of work for the Arsenal manager to handle if he does not want to see Manchester United taking over his team on the table.

Sarri's post-match interview after 2-0 loss to Arsenal: https://twitter.com/ChelseaFC/status/1086718179928391681

I found this bit kinda funny: "so tactics don’t come into it."

Hmm, yes, they do, if you keep using the same tactics in every single game, the opponents will eventually figure it out and will know how to play against you. And I don't know why Sarri refuses to change the system, for instance, he keeps playing Hazard as a 'false 9' when we all know that he's shite in that position (as we saw today). Even if Giroud or Morata are out of form, Hazard can have more impact on the game as a winger.

But I honestly don't like how he's calling out his players here, he should just keep those things to himself and try to figure out new tactics and strategies (or motivational speeches) for the upcoming games rather than using the same system again and again.

Big breakfast eaten, now on the road to my Church - Anfield.

Let’s go LFC Wink

Hey LFC it seems whenever you’re visiting Liverpool find the extra energy to seal of the match, what a brilliant match and all credit goes to Liverpool for winning it 4 - 3. Manchester United record their seventh consecutive win under Ole, and he’s got himself a new record of winning his first six premier games as their manager. Now all eyes are on Chelsea vs Arsenal where I feel Chelsea are the stronger team, I don’t feel that Arsenal will be able to defeat Chelsea.

Christ it's never a dull game with Crystal Palace visiting Anfield... first the nervy 1-0 win... and then now this 4-goal spree, only to let in 3 at our end. Worst thing for me is Milner's red card... I'm not sure Trent's coming back from injury, so it may be we'll be forced to use our 16-yr old again, forgot what his name was Kijana or something. I would even have just switched Robertson to right, and use Moreno on left... but then I'm not Klopp and we still got the win. Bloody scary though, but I got my Wolves/Pool/Newcastle parlay wrapped up. And now to enjoy the final game.

Can bottom 2 teams trip up top 3 teams? I pray so Wink
