I hate Liverpool & City, can’t anybody save us from the choice of these two winning the title?

Grin Grin

Seriously both are very, very good teams. I can’t call it at the moment. It’s too close & I think it will go to the last couple of games. Neither of them drop many points, the pace they set is relentless hence why nobody else can keep up.

That was quite a devastating defeat for Spurs and one I wasn't expecting, especially at home. It's certainly given a boost to City and Liverpool. I didn't watch the game but apparently Spurs were all over them and DeGea had the game of his season.

Well I remember now and I think now that the league is not as wide open as it seems. 4 points may look like a small difference in points but seeing the overall performance of Liverpool I think they will be the clear winners of the Premier League this year. The only chance, real chance for Manchester City is a direct match which will not happen anymore so I think Liverpool will end up winning the title this year.

4 points is four points. It's a win and a draw. Liverpool lost to Wolves a week ago and you can't be dropping points to those teams, so I disagree with you that it's not wide open because it really is. Either team can and have fudged up recently so anything can happen. I still wouldn't even rule out Tottenham at this point but losing Kane is a huge loss for them. If Poch stays on and doesn't leave for United and they strengthen their team for next season I think they'll be title contenders for sure and it'll be a three-way race.

snip

It might not be as easy as you think, Liverpool's team looks to be wearing out already, they're no longer as terrific and convincing as they were, and it's almost that time of the season where an in-depth squad will duly be needed Liverpool doesn't seem to have that and can't afford to rest or lose any of their star players to injury, from the edge I'm sure Man City has better chance due numerous players that could be called upon to give the most important players a needed rest without slipping up.

Liverpool have a very strong bench. Maybe not as strong as City's but I think Liverpool want this title more and have more fight in them. I think most neutral fans are also behind them as well.

I watched the Man City game until it went to 2-0 & then I turned it off as I knew it was then game over.

Can anybody explain to me why the Wolves player saw red for the exact same challenge that Kompany made on Salah yet that was deemed only worthy of a yellow?

After the win of Manchester City yesterday the Premier League looks wide open again. If Manchester City manages to win all games from now and to beat Liverpool also in the returning stage , chances are high we may see a rollover. However I am a fan of Liverpool and I hope they win. One thing is certain though, whenever Liverpool runs for the title the Premier League is quite good to watch.

Yes, the league is still pretty wide open between both Man City and Liverpool, but just so you know, they've played the return match of their fixture already, They played out a goalless draw at Anfield where Mahrez missed an injury time penalty, The returned was played a few weeks ago which Man City won 2 - 1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Wolverhampton Wanderers just played one of their worst match against Manchester City in this English Premier League season, they had one player sent off after 19 minutes into the game, one penalty was also awarded to Manchester City by the referee but I think Raheem Sterling did actually dive and the penalty should not be awarded. Things just seems to get more worst when Wolverhampton Wanderers scored an own goal in the second half, overall it was still pretty interesting to see this match ended up with one red card, one penalty given and one own goal scored.

Yes, Indeed it was a terrible night for them(maybe the worse match ever), the scoreline could so easily have been different, I'd guess the early red card had its impact on the matche too but, Wolves managed just 3 goal attempts, 0 shots on goal, and 1 shot off, while Man City pulled 24 attempts, 9 shot at goal and 7 shot off.

I tip Man City score at least 3 goals in this fixture.
...And boom there you go!

I’ve had a bet for Man City 3-0 Wolverhampton. I don’t suspect Wolverhampton will be able to cole with the wage after wave of pressure & attack from the home team. Easy home win in my opinion.
That's a bet won for you already! Hope I'd get a share of the winnings  Grin
Congratulations mate, and Many more wins to come!

Wolves were the first to lead against City before Chelsea. Sure it only lasted 10 mins but I always said after that game, Wolves showed the rest of the league how to beat City, reminding everyone Liverpool getting at their throats still worked!

14.5 odds at most bookies but Fairlay serving up a delicious 19.6. I took it =) I'm such a sucker I know but hey, more improbable things have happened just a month ago!

Man City vs Wolves - Really hoping Wolves can some how get something tonight at The Etihad but truthfully, I just can’t see it & I think City will get the 3 points quite comfortably.

Would love Wolves to spring a surprise though, fingers crossed I guess.

I doubt that'd be case here, Man City looks terrific again, Guardiola has almost a full squad at his disposal with no injury issues except  for Benjamin whose back to training alone, and Kompany who could face a late fitness test. They really wouldn't want to take any chances, I guess. I tip Man City score at least 3 goals in this fixture.

Manchester United now has the same points as Arsenal. The possibility of Manchester United to overtake Arsenal in the standings is increasingly open because next game, MU will only meet Brighton & Hove Albion while Arsenal must face Chelsea. Hopefully, MU will be able to keep steady with their good performances.

Manchester United today reminded of the Mourinho era: counter-attack goal and a massive defensive wall in the last 15 minutes. Props to De Gea, he was immense today, definitely MOTM (Pogba also had a fantastic game)...though, I feel like if Spurs were a bit more clinical they would've won that game.

Anyways, 2 losses in the last 3 league matches for Tottenham, I said a few weeks ago that they always choke in the 2nd half of the seasons  Roll Eyes

Manchester United Ole created a new record for himself by winning his first 6 matches as the head coach of the club, the last record was for winning 5 matches. I would not call this an entertaining match except for few bits here and there from Manchester United who cleverly decided to defend and frustrate Tottenham. All credit goes to De Gea he’s not a human but a Kryptonion for sure, but I feel Manchester United need defenders immediately.

Ole Gunnar was very lucky that got appointed after Mourinho was sacked. Players wanted to prove that they were not the reason why Manchester United wasn't playing well and efficient all this time. They madie some consecutive wins that were finally credited to Solskjaer's (I don't know if i typed it correctly, sorry  Cheesy ) management. The team needs new signs in many positions in the defense and in the center.
Ole Gunnar has good relations with players and  he has his own emotional relations with club.He is also good coach because of that he is good choice
Pogba is playing great and Rushford under Ole is also playing much better
It is not accidental that they  won all that games without losing much goals
Just players to play instead of giving them orders

Yup...  I hope they stick with him (and Mike Phelan, SAF's former assistant) cos there are rumors that United want Gareth Southgate as their next permanent manager.  I haven't checked the lines yet but I don't think he'll ever be the favorite.

Edit:  Solksjaer at 1.5, Poch at 2, followed by Zidane, Allegri then Southgate.

First match, Arsenal. Feels like forever since we played but it's only because of all the transfer news. Arsenal will surely want to win this to keep the chase up for Champions League, and Chelsea as well will want to do the same. Can Liverpool win with all the pressure on them? They know they must bounce back from 2 consecutive losses but it was to City plus a Wolves team facing boys. So they should comfortably get 3 points.

I hope Arsenal can make the most out of this game but they are playing away from home and despite Westham's poor run this term i don't thuink Arsenal will get the three points on a Silva-plata and must work hard for it. As for Liverpool i don't see why they shouldn't bounce back from their two consecutive defeats since Brighton doesn't pose much threat even when they are playing at home and i expect Liverpool to take advantage to get back to winning ways this today.

So far so bad for the top 5... Arsenal lost, Chelsea almost couldn't win, Liverpool could only win from a penalty, and Spurs lost to #6. Looks like this is going to be an exciting season after all. Now to complete the weekend of surprises we should see Wolves win away at Manchester City. Doesn't look like it will happen though. They just won 9-0 so will be so full of confidence against probably the best team outside of top 6 today.
