I couldn't believe that Tottenham lost this game either, they have given Chelsea some hope but I still doubt if Chelsea can overtake them for a champions league place next season with just two games to go. It's going to be an interesting last stretch though especially should Chelsea beat Liverpool tomorrow.

They are still 1 match short compared with tottenham so that means if they win their next one, they will only have 2 point difference. The goal difference for both of them is still being lead by tottenham . That means they need tottenham to lose 1 more game before they could take up the fourth spot but tottenham's next game is only against newcastle and leicester

When you look at the names of Stoke City players, you do not know how they fell after 10 years of fighting in top flight. Perhaps the biggest mistake of patience on Hughes after the start of the disastrous repeated, patience burned the players' morale and concentration and did not change until it was too late. they had many problems like strikers and full backs Pieters is the slowest left back ever seen while Johnson most of the time was injured and didn't perform as good as he used to be only Butland carried the team and we will propably see him in Liverpool or City next he will be more usefull for Liverpool in my opinion.

All premier league games gone wrong in the sense that no favourite has won so far. I doubt Everton will win either as Southampton needs a win in order to hope to avoid relegation. I wonder why the f WBA keeps winning against top teams when they are almost mathematically relegated and ruining bets of many people.
I know. They think they are Stoke City or something? Cheesy
Everton is not putting in Rooney this game so they are at a disadvantage more than ever against SouthHampton. Embarrassed

West Bromwich Albion once again shocked the Premier League. Beat Manchester United at Old Trafford, draw against Liverpool and now beat Tottenham Hotspurs. West Bromwich Albion is hot late, they suffer all season but can overthrow big clubs who are fighting for the big 4.

West Bromwich is a top table killer. Don't count the Baggies out. Grin
They beat Liverpool in the FA Cup 4th round at the beginning of the year.

So does anybody think Burnley will ruin Wenger's last home game tomorrow?
It will be a complete shame if they don't win it for the old man infront of the Arsenal fans. Embarrassed

I wonder if this was a pattern before by relegation teams? If it is, I must remember to bet on bottom 3 towards end of season. I guess everyone must be feeling, oh well nothing to play for, let's just try something different. Only City don't seem to be doing anything different. But teams must realise for consistency they must always play the same way no matter what. In terms of effort anyway, that form is the hardest thing to carry forward into the new season.

West Brom fans must be feeling so weird now though.

If anybody is wondering I’m not posting much in the gambling/sports section of the forum atm, I’m too nervous about the CL Final & don’t want to jinx it by starting to make predictions etc. I’m still here watching most days though.

I will find out if I have 2 tickets for Kiev next Wednesday or Thursday. I have my hotel booked already but it has free cancellation incase I can’t get the 2 tickets. I will have to pay around £1,500 each for tickets if the guy I know can get me them. It will be worth it though, I was quite young when we (Liverpool) won the CL in 2005 in Istanbul, I couldn’t afford to go but I told myself if we got to a final when I could afford to go I would have to be there so watch this space.

Fingers crossed, I went to the 1/4 final & semi final 1st legs at Anfield vs Man City & Roma so I’ll be really disappointed if I’m not able to go to Kiev. Liverpool & Real only have 16,000 tickets each for fans, all the rest are going to UEFA partners & corporate people.

I’m far from guaranteed to be there but I hope so.

I totally get that. I'm also watching and reading a lot. It is of course nice to see some of the hyperbolic articles coming out about the Reds, and I think it's a great compliment to see ex MU and Arsenal greats (as pundits) say that Liverpool thoroughly owned the competition but I always prefer to have the team talked down since the underdog mentality really suits them well against more illustrious opponents.

Istanbul is still my absolute brightest and happiest memory of my adult life (I was 25), and I'm so looking forward to the match that even writing this post is something I feel I shouldn't do. Really hoping you make it to Kiev... the only time I bought tickets was for the Villareal Europa leg at Anfield and that cost me basically everything I couldn't afford to spend.

Yeah I was 20 in 2005, it’s still the greatest night of my life probably, I was in tears (happy tears). I agree that being under dogs suits us, I just hope that Real underestimate us. Their players have been there & doje everything. I hope the Liverpool players are hungrier for success than they are.

Manchester United oh god do they ever disappoint lol, as soon I saw the line up I could sense defeat coming and their way of playing is as bad it gets. Mourinho obsession with defensive tactics, felliani, young is irritating now. Baily, Lindelof and Shaw should start, can't wait for him to leave Manchester United he's got a rich attacking talent and uses them to play defence, I hope he leaves soon now.

I totally agree with you. The attacking potential of Manchester United is very forceful but used very under-par because of Mourinho's defensive mindset. He has to choose a tactics that plays to the strength of the players. Same thing with LvG; had Di Maria, RvP, Falcao, Rooney, but yet thought possession football would be best. These days its had to directly buy and replace a new team at once, so Mourihno will not immediately get all defensive players, and besideds the philosophy of Man Utd is attack not defense.

I have a feeling Kane will score more than 2 goals today. Now trying to find the bookie which will give me nice odds for that. Anybody knows if there is such offering in BTC accepting bookies?
for now he still scored just one goal that made him 4 goals away then Salah, the Egyptien king still have two games and he was lucky not to get punished by the FA for Elbowing stoke city defender Martins Indi he still have two matches one against Chelsea away and the other at home against Brighton so his chances to be at top of league scorers are strong but for the golden Shoe not so much as Leo Messi have beated him by scoring 32 goals and he still have more games for him in the league. And for Kane he still have strong chance to catch up as he still have somewhat easier matches and we can see him get more goals scored because his next game will be aginst West brom who is at the bottom and have not much to lose so they will play offensive football could that lead to Kane do what his best that is scoring goals and the other two will be at home against Newcastle and Leicester.

Kane and Salah can always be counted on to score. Kane especially has been consistently high every season, it just so happens that Salah has had an exceptional time in his debut.

They say that teams and defenders eventually wisen up to new strikers like Salah - Stoke showed that if you stick to harrying and getting physical, you can sometimes shut off players like that. But it doesn't always work of course, and Salah has overcome such team tactics.

Kane will probably score 2 or 3 more goals, hard to score 5 to beat Salah. But the Egyptian also probably has a couple more over the next games.

After playing at UCL, Liverpool will next face Chelsea on next matchday in the Premier League. They both carry the victory in this match to continue securing their respective positions at UCL next season.
actually Chelsea have to win from the rest of matches this season to secure 4th positions but this will not guarantee if Chelsea won 3 time streak by the rest of matches they will get 4th positions at the end of league especially if Liverpool and Tottenham have good results for upcoming matches then clearly Chelsea will play at european competitions next season

The lone game today was Brighton Hove and Albion against Manchester United to make sure they keep in the Premier league next season.
And Brighton did something they haven't done since 36 years ago, win against Manchester United.
They surprised everybody including their fans when they scored the only goal in the game.
It had to go to the goal decision system because Rojas had to kick it out of the air to defend and they didn't know if it went past the line.
But the referee after checking his watch saw the system alerted it did cross the line.
Pretty exciting to see the system did work at such a trivial time for all those fans at the Amex center and in disbelief to United.
Good ol' Wenger didn't seem to like it when it debuted some 5 odd years ago. Undecided

But if it wasn't there, then the goal wouldn't of counted.
When you watch the replay it wasn't just a touch in but the entire ball was clearly pass the goal line. Grin

This is Last season's heartbreak for Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, not giving any trophy this season and not passing Arsenal to Champions League next season, it is certain because Arsenal lost in semifinal europa league last night which means the only ticket to enter the Champions League next season already lost. Arsenal also has certainly not entered the big 4 Premier League this season.
Poor Arsene not getting the hardware for all Arsenal fans and a punch to the gut in not being able to get them to the Champions league competition next year is a heartbreaker.
They only have three games left of the EPL season to go. So hoping they can get in those last games a win for the old man. Embarrassed

That win would only be symbolic as Arsenal doesn't play for anything anymore in the premier league. And in fact they even risk to lose the place to directly qualify for the Europa League next year as Burnley is only three points behind them. They are the losers of premier league always in the sense that they usually never win the league but ends up in the top 5.
