To prevent diabetes we should eat cereals. Eat more whole grains, especially whole grains such as wheat, brown rice, oats ... not only help you have a beautiful body but it also reduces risk of breast cancer, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke. Therefore, you can substitute foods by eating whole grains to prevent sugar and ensure health.

How to prevent diabetes in my opinion is to change the lifestyle for the better. Exercise and maintain weight, limit sugar consumption, eat lots of fibrous foods, not smoking and terraced routine to see a doctor

I'm not sure how exercise will help with diabetes.
I simply wouldn't eat sweets and drink soda. Really any amount of these foods/drink is bad for you, the least the better.

I am a diabitic person because both side of my parents are diabitic so it is hereditary for me. But I try to control my sugar level by diet, excersice and avoid sweet food.

Stay away from food that is high in sugar. Food that is high in carbohydrates should also be avoided. Exercise regularly and drink lots of water.

one way to prevent diabetes is to avoid stress, how to avoid stress is by relaxation, refreshing, or just listen to favorite music on the sidelines of activity.

One of the leading cause of mortality is diabetes. It can trigger or worsen any existing diseases. When a person is not mindfull on their diet especially the kind of food rich in carbohydrates and lack of exercise can lead to diebetes. Please limit your sugar intake and do moderate exercise. If you are living a sedentary lifestyle like sitting all day long in offices/computer work, have time to walk around.

I think you have a point as to how to prevent diabetes but I think your points will help in managing diabetes in the sense that, diabetes happens as a result of damage to the beta cells of the islet of Langerhans within the pancrease which are responsible for the production of insulin to transport the converted starch into the cells for energy. In the case of such diabetes, even eating moderate amount of carbohydrate won't solve the problem since there is no insulin to transport the carbohydrate. Again, another type of diabetes is when the beta cells are intact and producing normal insulin but then insulin cannot recognize its binding receptor on in the various cells to form attachment in other to be able to transport glucose. In such an instance, eating carbohydrate in moderation will serve as helping manage the condition and not prevent it. Per what I know about diabetes, I think watching your lifestyle is key to helping prevent diabetes. Lifestyle factors such as smoking, drinking heavily, consuming saturated fats, and etc should be avoided. Exercising regularly will help to boost our health. With Type 1 diabetes which is caused through hereditary, diet cannot prevent it. Live a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.

I am also a diabetic patient but i am unable to control my self to use sugar in meals and also taking soft drinks as well. Just i am taking medicines on time which maintain the sugar level in my body. I am some times trying to walk for half hour and when i do this my sugar level becoming in normal range but its much hard for to go gym for exercise and also walking daily.

The amount of sugar in a typical US diet is completely insane. Everything has sugar in it... even bread. And forget snacks or things like soda. It's idiotic to drink soda everyday, basically it's diabetes in a bottle.

To prevent diabetes you should stay away from alcohol, unhealthy food and do physical exercises everyday.  Smiley
