We can't assume that Litecoin will be going great this year. We just consider the situation and look at how Bitcoin does this year, it is somewhat reliant on it now, in fact, we already know that situation since before as these altcoins are dependent on Bitcoin.

I hope I'll be wrong but I foresee the market this year 2022 is not a good year for crypto. I was thinking of another bearish year in crypto again and it found no excuse. There is no Alltime-high, IMO.

Litecoin has not experienced a significant price movement in recent times, as well as this year I think there is no significant movement in the price of Litecoin and keep abreast of Bitcoin price developments, if BTC growth is good, LTC will also follow suit.

So do most old altcoins and not just Litecoin. We haven't got any massive run for majority of altcoins and I think that's expected considering Bitcoin is getting squeeze from the 30k area. There are developments that has been shared across the community for Bitcoin but as you can see it hasn't have that much significant impact.

I agree, the crypto market is so vast right now is that at one point Bitcoin was like %34 of all of it, now back to %40+ again unfortunately but still not half like it used to be or more. This means that if something that is considered %60 of the whole market ends up going down, that impacts the other %40. We are so used to seeing the market go down when bitcoin goes down that we are forgetting maybe the market went down first, and bitcoin followed. Litecoin in this sense seems to be following whatever the market does and doesn't change. This is a power because it has done the same for 10 years now, and if it keeps doing it, eventually people realize all the hyped top coins may come and go, but litecoin is here to stay.

I would guess that bitcoin is also heavily influenced by all these other coins as well. I mean most of the time we believe "bitcoin goes down and that makes altcoins go down" but maybe there is a chance bitcoin goes down when alts make it go down? There are so many coins out there that maybe something bad happens in one of them which causes a whole ton of money to be gone, and that causes bitcoin to be dropping as well?

In any case, market is definitely doing normal things, not big moves, stuff like 1-2% drop doesn't mean anything to me at all and shouldn't matter to you neither, it's a small amount to be ignored most of the time and nothing more.

Most investors see bitcoin as gold and litecoin as silver, and besides this the project has an active community and many supporters who envision a rising future.
litecoin is the oldest altcoin running for more than a decade and i still trust the old altcoins because people who have been in the industry know the journey and are still trusted for the long term, and i am a fan of litecoin and why, because litecoin has given me some times the previous profit.
so I still believe, and I don't really care about the price of litecoin this year because in the long term I really believe that litecoin will always make a good profit.

That's true but I think we still need to do an analysis of market movements because it's important so we don't make wrong decisions,
but it all depends on the decision of each person,
I still see Litecoin as a potential altcoin and I really hope that Litecoin can continue to grow in the future

Litecoin does have some development. People are just not as interested to look things up.

- LTC halving is happening in August of next year

Also, in my recent experience, litecoin hasn't dipped as hard as some of the other cryptos. So it provided a good opportunity for me to buy into cryptos that dipped hard (like ATOM). It's also one of the few old cryptos that stayed at the top 50.

While I agree LTC's development doesn't move as fast as other layer 1 cryptos, it wasn't meant to be an ever-changing smart-contract layer one solution. It was just meant to be a "bitcoin cash" alternative. Everywhere I go that accepts bitcoin also accepts LTC and it's arguably better suited for payments due to fast transaction time and low fees (and now MWEB integration).
I expect LTC to make some interesting price action at the time of halving.

What? developing into Largest cryptocurrency in the world? have you forgot that Litecoin once to be a Biggest currency ? it is a ranking 3rd back in 2017 and that is a huge start but what happened now? Litecoin fell bad and now stays in lowering value ranking at 22? if you can still trust that there is something good happening in the future then its yours but don't try luring people to expect high when it is far from reality to happen.

what to expect from LTC this year is a new ATH. however, seeing as the price is 3x lower than ATH, then I think the price of $150 to $200 could be the start of a hike this year. it's just that, since 3 months ago, the price of LTC has continued to decline from $138 to its current price. well, if there is a bull market, I think the price will go back up to the range of $120-$130 first before actually going up to the range above $150. anyway, I was expecting new ATH, but right now the price is still very far from ATH.

I don't care who says what about Litecoin, unless it provides a trouble to me, I will always like it and invest a small bit of my money into it as well. I know that some people may not prefer to call it a great coin to invest, but that is their decision and their money and if they do not want to invest into crypto because of it then I am fine with it.

But, this is my opinion and my profit and my money as well so I rather invest it accordingly without limitations from others just because they dislike a coin. Litecoin has been here for over a decade and provide a great successful investment to me and made me some money, I am not planning on stopping that anytime now.

It got as stable as it gets and I do not think that a major deal will happen with it. Don't get me wrong I am not saying that it will be 100 bucks forever but at the same time its not going to be really a big deal neither. I personally believe that the price will be stable"ish" and thats it. I mean maybe like go to 150 bucks when everything goes to ATH, and be like 80 bucks when it all crashes, but stay around those levels. Maybe I am wrong, maybe it will do wild movements, but to me it doesn't look like its going to do that. Which is why I believe that its going to be quite boring but at least safe, which is great in this market.

It's been the same from the past where when a bear market started happening, everyone was just waiting to pump back in Bitcoin because it could really help all the altcoins to get pumped into the market too.
Likewise for this year where some people are also waiting for something like that because with the pump on Bitcoin, others will also slowly follow in the market.
