I've used advertising for many years, and am familiar with some basic logic. Put it this way, would you rather advertise your house to a home owning forum, or a video game forum. Targeted advertising is already used everywhere, and Facebook has the most intricate and precise method used today.

They should make a general rule of not paying off topic, and add exception for high quality posts and bitcoin related topics(yes, there are some of them in off topic)

That will make people avoid posting in off topic only to get a higher payout

That is possible and could be an issue. Personally I'm not sure if it's a good idea offering premium rates for certain sections but maybe have lower rates for off-topic and games and rounds etc or maybe not even count posts in them at all. I only know about as much as you guys really so I'm interested to see how it will work and the pay schemes etc.

you know that offer lower rates for off topics and games and rounds is the same is offering a premium for the other sections, right?

Yes, but like I said I'm not sure it's a good idea but maybe it would be best just not paying for certain sections. It depends how much the pay difference is. If it's scaled it might not be too much of a problem but if it's a substabtial difference something like 0.0001 for the Gambling or Bitcoin main sub and 0.00001 for off-topic I think we know where people would post and avoid, but if the difference is lesser it might not be so bad.

Why PD need to pay lower rate for off-topic and games & round section ?
Better pay nothing.

Because people can spam those sections with short replies and get paid the same, but those were just examples.

It will be pay per post, but looking like posting in some sub forums will pay higher than others and vice versa.

Wont everyone just post in the places where the most money is? i guess it depends on price gap.  Fine with me though i usually post in most of the forums signature campaigns like i think.

Nice idea. Off-topic should definitely be paid a lot less than the others (you've probably though about this before though)
perhaps for posts in offtopic you won't get anything  Smiley

Yup 50 BTC is a big amount. Will it be like Pay per post like the previous one, or pay per month?

"50 BTC/month" that's really a lot, take "per post" and "post quanlity tracking" into consideration, I guess there still will be 200-400 people in the campaign at the same time.

Is a sig campaign really that good in attracting new customers?
I mean, the new PD campaign need to attract new customers to wager at least 5000 bitcoin a month to have a break-even.

Wagering that much isnt hard when you have autobet features and hundreds betting the same portions of their bankroll over and over.   Sig campaigns seem to be a very good unique form of advertising.

Time is on our side, yes it is!
So glad bittrex went down or I'd have missed the good news.  Also l'm glad there will be changes to address the problem of spam.  Very hopeful that things go smoothly with liitle to no negative impact to the forums\users.  Thanks to Stunna, hilarious&co and all who help with the campaign, cheers!   Cool

I can't wait for the sig campaign to kick off... I am pretty sure the participants list will be full within hours..

It will be a huge campaign and they are looking to get a lot of members so they may accept everyone that applies.

I may write code in exchange for bitcoins.
Good point, he probably is referring to the length of posts, the character count.
