If faucet goes down a lot I probably won't play anymore, 80% of the time I'm there it's because I've built my faucet up enough to have a chance at winning a little bit but...
That's lame that it's been 3 btc/ day on faucet I would expect maybe one btc a day. If you have to change it otherwise you're losing money, then you have to change it that's understandable.

But at the same time...

It's kinda like... there's not really any possible way to abuse faucet. You have it set to one minute /redeem and you built the site and achievements to allow the faucet to go up to 10K, (this was very appealing to me and I've been spending a lot of time and what BTC I have here to try and build it up to that) and you changed the minimum tip to .0005 which is the same as withdrawing. So when people are tipping .0005 to their other accounts (which I have yet to seen a mod or admin state you can not do this) its practically the same as cashing out, except you save yourself the transaction fee (which needs to be paid when transacting no matter what ).

TL;DR: The way you have it set up and rules, there's no such thing as faucet abuse so it does kinda bother me that you say that people are abusing it, and that's why you're lowering it....

This is really sad.  So sorry you are paying 3 BTC a day out via the faucet.  That is clearly unsustainable.  It seems you had a similar problem on PD2 and solved it with the whitelist.  Maybe something similar would help here?

I also agree with GaleMartins, it is easy to abuse your current arrangement.  (I don't abuse it but I can understand the temptation.)  You can either have free in game transfers (tips) or faucet.  With both PD3 is open to abuse no matter what you set the faucet level at as using the methods GM described you can still abuse it - it just becomes a matter of time. 

I strongly agree with the idea that you should set clear expectations for how you'd like to see the faucet used in the FAQ or somewhere.  That would make it easy for the community of players to call people out whom they think are abusing the faucet.  Is it okay for me to chat and play the faucet?  (I hope this is yes.)  Is it okay for me to set up a "bank" user account and send my faucet winnings to it for eventual withdrawal?  (This seems like a no to me.)

I also think the faucet serves a useful marketing purpose as people play it while they hang out and chat.  Since that is what I often do, I wish there was a way to preserve that while still ending the abuse.

Maybe there is a solution in the whole deposit, withdrawal limit, chat activity (coupled with solid moderation), no proxies, and IP limits or something like that.  Of course, I guess lowering the faucet is a lot easier....

BTW found a bug... Click to invert doesn't work as it's supposed to. The odds stay the same as if you hadn't inverted them.

I'm sure what Stunna means with abusive users is bot users.
I don't think having multiple accounts per person / household / machine / IP is disallowed as long you won't refer your other accounts.
At least in PD2 faucet claiming timer was per ip not per account so it isn't possible to abuse it by using two different accounts in same computer.

Update to latest version of firefox.
Alternatively remove "http://" or "https://" from the url adress.

First I would like to thank Stunna and his team for Primedice3.
It has been a great source of entertainment for me, so far.

I would like to ask Stunna to clarify what is the proper way of using the faucet, so that it is not considered abusive.
In particular, is there a limitation on how often one should access the faucet, other than the once-per-minute limitation.
Or, are there any restrictions on what one should do with the money it gets from the faucet?
Also, is there only one account allowed per (physical) person / household / machine / IP?

I believe these things should be stated very precisely (and carefully), because of the nature of gambling games.
A rational player would do whatever is allowed by the rules to maximize its revenue.
If the rules are flowed, then players *will* exploit them.
Players play against the house which has an advantage over them, so one cannot expect that they will feel sympathy for the house

If I understand well, based on the current rules, it is in the payer's best interest to do the following:

- First, spend some time/money to increase its faucet, by increasing its wagered amount.
I think that, in expectation, one needs to spends an mount of X in order to increase its wagered amount by 100X.

- After that, the player should keep accessing the faucet, and send all the money it gets to a second account (either by tipping, or by pvp-ing with that account with manual seeds.)

- If the player wants to feel the "thrill" of betting, it is in his best interest to pvp with other players instead of playing against the house.
As pvp is a zero-expectation game, a player will not win any money by pvp-ing, in expectation, but it will not lose any either, unlike when it plays against the house.

To conclude, I think that the Primedice team should rethink some of the design aspects of their game.
However, I agree that any changes should respect the effort/money players have spent to increase their faucets.

Please let me know if I have misunderstood something.

PS. About the player who won 3BTCs by investing just 0.02BTCs, I think that the chances of that happening (using a single bet) is roughly 1 out of 150, so it is probably not that unlikely.. by still impressive

This happens to me a lot as well, usually it is due to multiple tabs, I am running windows 7 though.

I haven't had it not work at all though...


And ps, Chrome updates automatically so never have to worry about it being up to date

It should work on latest chrome . I hope it will work for everybody rly soon when mobile version comes out and optimisation for all browsers .

Usually I have to refresh/restart my browser about 30-40 times an hour to see chat, but lately, I cannot chat, or see new messages until I refresh, then I see old messages.
