Hello PrimeDice,
When I login with the same payout address on the same PC, it still resets the balance to 0!

Please do something, also, I din't receive any cashout even at that point.

That's  a good idea.  I use Firefox, and Chrome, but Chrome didn't seem too big on addon or plugin availability last time I checked.  What about the sites that don't release the secret till the next day?

I guess it could remember the details of bets that need verifying, and verify them once the secret is available.

Changing avatars is currently not possible.
I'm considering making a Chrome plugin that watches as you play provably fair games and checks the hashes for you.  I think it would add value to players who don't know how to check the hashes for themselves, or can't be bothered to.  And having it developed by a third party rather than the house itself adds weight to its verification of your fairness too I think.

I believe the 5 BTC profit would hurt us a lot. If someone did as you say bet constant 495 BTC on a 5 BTC profit per bet, on average they're going to win around 490 BTC before they lose their initial bet. That's a hard amount to afford Tongue

I think you're off by a factor of 2 there.  The easiest bet to win you have is 2%.  Players win that on average 49 of 50 plays.  On average they would win 49 times in a row before losing.  So they'd win 49 times 5 = 245 BTC, not 490.  And then you'd win 490 BTC when they eventually lose, twice what they've won so far on average.

Notice that although the player loses 1% of everything they risk, you profit by 98% of everything you risk (on the >2% game).  In a typical 50 plays, where the player bets 1 BTC each time, the player wins 49 times, winning 1/98 BTC each time for a total payout of 49/98 BTC = 0.5 BTC, and the lose once, losing 1 BTC.  So the player risked 50 BTC, made a net loss of 0.5 BTC.  That's a net loss of (loss/risk) = 0.5/50 = 0.01 = 1% of everything he risked.  But you (the site) only risk 1/98 BTC each time he bets 1 BTC, so your total risk was 50/98 BTC, and your net profit was 0.5 BTC.  That's a profit of (gain/risk) = 0.5/(50/98) = 49/50 = 0.98 = 98% of everything you risked!

The Kelly criterion (for bankroll management) suggests that to maximise the growth of your bankroll you should be risking a fixed percentage of your bankroll per bet regardless of the multiplier, if the house edge percentage is the same for each bet.

If you can afford to risk 1% of your entire bankroll when offering a 50/50 bet with a 1% house edge, then you can also afford to risk 1% of your bankroll when offering any other bet with a 1% house edge.  Conversely, if you don't have 500 BTC to your name then you shouldn't be offering 5 BTC bets at 50/50 because your risk of ruin is too high then.

In summary, the maths says that you should set the max bet such that the player profits by 1% of your available bankroll.  As your bankroll grows or shrinks, you adjust the maximum accordingly.

If I were a little more paranoid I'd say Zaih is dropping these ideas that the RNG is skewed in the player's favour just to plant the seed in people's heads that they might be able to take advantage and beat the house, encouraging more traffic to the site.

The thought crossed my mind too that Zaih may be an "insider" drumming up trade for the site.  This thread certainly was great PR for the site in its first 24 hours, and much of that was driven by Zaih's enthusiasm.  Smiley

I could do with him on board when I launch doogdice.  lol jk.

I was worried people might have thought BitcoinM was an insider or what not, but never expected people to think Zaih would be Tongue. I must say I am very appreciative of Zaih's enthusiasm, along with other individual's who have not only been so positive on this thread but kept it interesting and exciting.

To be fair, Zaih & I have talked over IRC quite a bit over the last 2 days as he/she has shown a lot of attention towards this project. Helping out with a ton of suggestions & even posted a thread in the newbies section for me.

That'd be so good for people like me who have no idea about 99% of the provably fair systems Tongue (Yeh I'm bad with computers Sad)

Also, what happens if I'm playing with just the 0.0001 starting bonus, play it up to say 0.0003 and then get disconnected from my ISP and my IP address changes?  The balance is too small to get cashed out, so does it stay in my account for when I next log in?

If you  have less than 0.0005 balance and you logout or your session is killed you will not receive any cashout. Instead your balance will be there for when you next play Smiley.

EDIT: Hmm that's very weird. I just tested it to make sure it's all good before posting this. However it's still attempting to cash out. It was one of the changes we made just before we released, I assume it wasn't implemented. Definitely consider this fixed very soon Smiley

I think i may have found part of the problem, for certain people like me in certain countries, isps implement dynamic ips, so everytime my router restarts my ip changes, dunno if tt could be a problem with the auto cashing out
This won't be a problem at all. Just as long as your IP doesn't change during a session. And even if it did all it would do is cash you out and you could redeposit.

We're actively noting down all feedback and will be hard at work these coming weeks to deliver the best experience possible. Thanks for all the help!

Zaih what you are not seeing is the losing players and how much they lost. I personally was up 3 BTC and gave it all back + 2 more. So I'm down 2 BTC. I guarantee that Stunna is not down 250 BTC or even close to that. With the past day or so of bets honestly I think he/she has gotten back probably at least 10% of the 212 he/she lost right from the get go. I can see this being a very addicting game to some and thus many "degens" will lose a ton to this game no matter even if the expected value is +EV because of chasing losses.

Ah fair enough. Well that's good to hear. And yeh you aren't wrong on the addicting part.

I actually wasn't the one to bring this up, and how can one not wonder when a casino is down so much in such a small period of time. Sorry though, I see where your coming from.

Another little bug:

The logo image covers over the right half of the 'logout' button, so I can only log out if I click on the left half of the logout button.

Edit: and another:

If I click on the number in the rollover selector to make it editable, then type a new number and hit return, the return is treated as a click on the 'x2' button, and doubles my bet amount.

I found a display bug.

If you go to http://primedice.com/ and hit TAB about 6 times, you'll see the cursor appear in the 'enter your payout address' box.  Then if you control-v to paste it, or just type any old junk, it will look ugly:

It seems the 'enter address' text only disappears if you click on it, not 'onfocus'.

If you use the 'placeholder="enter address"' attribute on the input element, this will just work.

Edit: the same bug exists with the 'bet amount' field.  Log in, click on 'bet amount'.  Hit TAB, then Shift-TAB, and you get the same mess as above.

Often a session will get terminated for a variety of reasons, the bitcoins will find their way back to your wallet however. Termination is done automatically, generally to return bitcoins to people who have forgotten to cashout etc. If you logged into your address from a different IP that could also be a reason for termination.

Oh, that sucks but is at the same time very good. Is there a way to turn this off?

Also, what happens if I'm playing with just the 0.0001 starting bonus, play it up to say 0.0003 and then get disconnected from my ISP and my IP address changes?  The balance is too small to get cashed out, so does it stay in my account for when I next log in?

I think in general it would be good to let players set a password to protect their account if they want to, and then don't auto-cashout password protected accounts immediately.  Maybe if an account isn't logged in to for a week or two then auto-cashout, but doing it every time the IP address changes is too much I think.

Our max bet payout was 5 when he was betting and is currently still at 5. That's what made this so surprising.

I think it's good to have a max payout instead of a max bet.  But did you consider instead allowing a max profit per bet?  So the player is allowed to profit by 5 BTC per bet.  Then on the 2% bet they can bet 490 BTC to win 495 BTC (profit = 5 BTC).  I think Mr. Kelly would approve.

Also the changes you suggested will be implemented within 24 hours, our main developer had the weekend off.

I wish I got the weekend off.  Smiley

Before I knew it, I was at 50 BTC, then 100 BTC and then the 200 mark.

What was your biggest single win?  I understand the max bet was reduced after you won a bunch, right?
