I could come up with 10 ways to "hack" 2FA, but the relevant risk for VPN is the man-in-the-middle attack (MITM) and 2FA does not help for that. Basically all the traffic goes through the VPN so if the hacker controls the VPN he could show you a fake PD site (copy) and see the passwords you fill in, but also the 2FA code. Both can be send to the real PD site under the attackers control - and he can make withdrawals etc. Basically 2FA does not help at all against MITM. This is the same reason 2FA doesn't work against phishing sites (also fake site that gets your password/2FA code and uses it immediately.)
HOWEVER, the description in https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/psa-bitcoin-gambling-ssl-security-1043827 seems pretty correct. All you have to do is make 100% sure you are connected to https://primedice.com and there is nice little lock icon next to it. That topic has some more details. This way the traffic is encrypted between you and the real PD site.
Still I do recommend everyone to use 2FA whenever there is a decent amount of money involved (or your account is worth a lot to you.)

Once I heard hackers now can hijack 2FA, I saw some guys were hacked by hackers with 2FA. I don't know how to do that, but it's amazing.
So 2FA is not safe now, although I have never been hacked with 2FA protection or without 2FA.
It is not literally hijack the 2FA but the hacker knew the 2FA. Some people save up google 2FA in their laptop/ computer, the hacker may have the access to the computer/ laptop therefore allowing him to access the site
Best thing to do is to keep your 2FA separated, as for me , I keep it in my phone which have no access to internet, so I can clearly say that it is safe to use 2FA

U can use simple VPN , like hola extension for chrome u can set it to go over vpn only on primedice so when u are on other sites it doesnt go over vpn.
I used it for netflix it works like a charm.

AFAIK hola extension doesnt put up ads to the sites and it is safe to use and even if you want to avoid this ads issue, You could simply surf PrimeDice using VPN from the incoqnito window (if you are using chrome), Even though there are some ads there but when you use the normal window back the ads dont appear.
For firefox user, you can try to use the anonymox add ons to access the site
To Micro : does PrimeDice confirms that US players still able to play and deposit to the site through VPN? Because if it is not allowed then there is a chance that the funds may be hold up if a user is found out to be the resident of the US

Haha primedice hot wallet will NEVER be short of funds, they have too much money for that to happen. Unless of course you had huge winnings like 100 btc then they might be checking that your bets are fair and manually processing it.
PrimeDice may the one of the best dice sites that hold up a lot of BTC but something like the hot wallet run out of funds were always things that might happen due to alot of people cashing out . Stunna himself has already stated in the past that withdrawal is instant 99 % but things like the hot wallet running out of funds could always happen
99.9% of the time they are sent automatically, the hotwallet was briefly low and a few cashouts were held. This doesn't typically happen.
