I'm perfectly happy to sign up for sig campaigns etc.

One thing I won't do though is sign up for advertising on my social media accounts.

Bitcoin is supposed to be as anonymous as possible.

There are too many hackers & uber intelligent sneaks on this forum, I wouldn't want anybody having my real personal, sensitive information.

I agree, I've missed almost all the good primedice promos because I stay away from the spy-sites like facebook.

The entire internet is a spy device for the NSA. I'm sure they're watching this forum very closely too. But yeah, Stunna do a giveaway on here for those of us who don't use Facebook or don't want to give our personal social media accounts away publicly.

Stole your state of the mind artwork. Bummer!

Slow down, take a deep breath, and see if you can somehow string a sentence together. It's worth the effort because then maybe people will understand whatever it is you are trying to communicate with us.

I doubt people fall for those kind of application downloads or exe downloads. Even if something like that existed, primedice would shutdown the site the instant they find out something like that.

If people didn't fall for it he wouldn't keep posting that link. It has been going on for months now. You're underestimating just how dumb some people are.

Apparently that malware steals usernames/passwords of all social media accounts as well. If someone finds a way to cheat PD, it's important to realize that they would never publicly share it. If it sounds too good to be true...

In other news we've hit 5B bets. There is a giveaway going on @ facebook.com/officialprimedice

its sad to see that you have to be a fb user to be able to participate in this

People do fall for it . This guy was spamming it all over primedice chat now we have some automute to prevent most of it but still he is posting it everywhere . Its unbelievable how people fall for it , but they do.

Maybe to avoid any such problems, and the previous problem that happened, you can just block any links to any external websites.

That would be so much of a overkill . And would ruin it for all the other people that know better than to fall for such a cheep scams.

The only way to be secure is never visit links you dont know, and didnt come from trusted source, even then it can be dangerous. So just stick to the well known sites, and never visit links, especially those who promise free btc...

In any case, hopefully these are the kinds of lessons that people only have to learn once (that is, if you really download and install some random software promising a get-rich quick solution onto a windows computer and you get bit in the ass, hopefully you'll never do it again).

That's not my experience. I know people who get Windows viruses over and over again. They can't be bothered to "be careful" and just click on anything and everything. It doesn't matter, because you can always just have someone reformat and reinstall the OS...

Then one day it does matter, because now you have electronic cash on your system, but you're still in the "click anything, doesn't matter" mindset.

I think it's not just about dumbness.  It's something about the result of human greed getting into competition with carefulness (alongside the fact that how computers and math works is rather obscure (even for very non-dumb people)).  In any case, hopefully these are the kinds of lessons that people only have to learn once (that is, if you really download and install some random software promising a get-rich quick solution onto a windows computer and you get bit in the ass, hopefully you'll never do it again).

There's a guy advertising a program that he claims can let you win 100% of the time at PrimeDice and other sites.

It's a coin-stealing trojan, so be careful.

See this thread for his ad.
See this screenshot for how the fake cheating tool looks.
And go here to provide feedback on his activities to help others not fall victim to his scam.

Will accepting altcoins make a difference?

Probably it will , as altcoin that arent regulated yet might be consider just as a token or like monopoly money. Although some countries specifically banned online gambling so it will not make a huge impact for some country

Is that the reason why JD is using clams because it is allowed in US? I don't understand the reason behind this suggestion.

Tried to dug for old post and I found this post describing what happened to JustDice and the reason of it accepting clams
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9853803, I think this posts sum up on what happened at JustDice

Couldnt find anymore relevant post regarding this , perhaps you can ask dooglus personally about this

Ah.. I see. I think I get it somewhat now, since some of the altcoins cannot be yet exchanged directly to USD, they're overlooked by concerning authorities (for now), even when they are used in a Casino.

Right, everything that can be traded into fiat is usually regulated. So to avoid things being regulated one might switch into other coins just like JustDice with its clams. For Primedice cases, I dont think that they might be switching into altcoins as I believe the US players just a small fraction from their regular players .

-snip-

Thankyou for this posts Lorenzo !

While you guys aren't wrong that a switch to some altcoin or another might help to make Stunna feel better about some potential future regulation, I think it's a non-starter for him because he's been adamantly against altcoins in the past.  I remember one of his ads on this forum had the tagline "No, we still don't accept __coin."  Ie, he's a bitcoin only guy.  The other thing is that he seems to have quite a thriving business and his move seems preemptive.  Ie, he's in no trouble yet and he's simply making moves to ensure he doesn't have any future trouble down the road.

Exhausted
Well its worth a trial, and could be much better if Altcoins is accepted i've seen alot of opinion on this could bring good turn of events. You just never know enough

i think so altcoin addition will be good one to betting there as i have so many altcoin at the moment and dont want to exchange it with bitcoin because that is my investment but i would like to play it with them.
Primedice will add altcoin in near future. Wink

It could great if we could convert our altcoin in that site instantly, just like at 777coin & DaDice
I hope there will be beta stage soon

IIRC Dadice use Shapeshift.io and 777coin use Bitin.io to do the altcoin/bitcoin conversion.
Even though Primedice hasn't integrated with them, you can directly go the the two services, and use your PD deposit address as your payment address.

Since this issue is brought up into attention here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/primedice-is-ignoring-my-support-request-after-communication-its-been-12-days-1046835

I do not remember setting a password for the account which may be the cause for being locked out

I had the same issue before when it was my first time opening an account in PrimeDice but in my case, Stunna helped me out right away after I send him PM. Below is my PM for Stunna which was the same case

hello stunna, my account didnt set up password but when i tried to login it asked for a password, what should i do?

never deposited in my account, there is 0.01 from the last giveaway that i want to claim in that account, thankyou

account is arallmuus

Make a new account, send me the username and I'll transfer the 0.01 over.

So I am proposing a way to prevent this kind of issue from happening in the future. The best way is to add a simple warning sign for an account which has not set up the password yet. This could at least ease Stunna/Edward's job in answering the support mail regarding the lost account because the players forget to set up password
