I think theft of bitcoins is one of the most worrying and stressful things about running a bitcoin business (or just even owning bitcoins yourself really). Once they're gone they're gone for good and very intelligent hacker thieves are constantly racking their brains trying to find any exploit they can to steal them from you. I think if you don't keep the coins offline and air-gapped there's always the chance of them being stolen. Really interested to see stunna's explanation and hopefully they'll be able to track the guy down somehow.
they wont be able to actually track that guy down, bitcoin is made for anonimous transaction and the hufflepuff guys should be clever enough to split of his winning into several mixer or use up a powerfull mixer to exit from the tracking of PD
You could apply the same reasoning to DPR. People can easily slip up and maybe they used their real IPs to connect to Primedice before the incident or can be linked to this forum or elsewhere. Mixing services also can become ineffective if you're transacting massive amounts of coins through them all at once. I think this is how one of the darknet scammers was caught or at least tracked down.
