Oldschool!

I still do not understand why primedice lags this much. They are the most trusted , most wagered dice game out there. Still keeps lagging. We know you paid the developer hefty plus some percentage , just tell him to fix this already...

The javascript they use to run the bets display uses a lot of resources.  I usually click over to the "all bets" tab and watch my cpu go from like 80% down to 30-40%.  Now that I know about the api, I typically am using that for the same reasons.  Check your cpu usage when primedice is running.

Yeah all that animations and stuff can make ur cpu go up. I just tend to stay on highroller tab or my bets tab most of the time and it wont use anything from ur CPU .

Its probably just your computer. The site is not laggy at all for me and I use it on my phone, laptop, and desktop and it all runs fine. If however you are referring to the bets taking a while, they have a delay so you can't spam bet or autobet really fast. I believe its at around 1 second
yes, around a 1 to 2 seconds delay  Grin

not even 1 second here..
I think that's a problem with your PC/internet.

how the solution if I forget when setting password

open the same browser you used to create your account, hope all the cookies and stuff are still in the browser, then set your password?

or you can contact the admin by emailing [email protected], and ask them to reset the password for you, although this can be a while because there is a lot of ticket everyday in Primedice
Also when you send them the email just sign a message with the address from which you would have deposited bitcoin to your account and if possible then also sign a message with the address to which you withdrew your funds. This may speed up the recovery process.
Thanks

Yes, that is a good advice, they gonna need some proof of course, so this is the best way to do it.

I recently sent 0.3 to my pd account but my balance is still zero after going through several confirmations.

If I were you, I'd email [email protected].  I once had some balance dissappear during a primedice issue and I emailed about it and they made it right (and then some).  I'm sure if you email the info to them that they'll straighten you out.

Idk why but people doesn't seem to use /ignore enough Smiley . When mods are not around u should always use /ignore command to evade spammers and such.

But mods are needed when people come to chat and try to scam and some users will fall for it instead of doing ignore. So when mods are there they mute scammers and everyone on chat can see it and use some common sense not to fall for theirs scams.

including me its at 3 agrees now.... accept the rules of this place or look for another one

he didn't say he is not accepting the rules, he says he has a different opinion and we are actually trying to argue - i am delighted to see someone stand up for his opinion AND even being able to communicate why.

i value the conversation a lot since some of the best inventions might be coming from such discussions! Smiley

about the need for moderators and the ignore option:

i've seen unmoderated/selfmoderated chatrooms and they worked out very well. unfortunately this doesn't seem to be the case with primedice - while i dislike that a lot (it actually means "work" for me) i can imagine some reasons why pd is a special case. i could elaborate on that, but for now it's enough to mention two:

   * btc world still is a little like wild west, people scam, people shoot very quickly and there is a minority of people who seem to enjoy it a lot to destroy nice things for others after they benefitted themselves
   * due to the nature of pd and the accessability as a simple website results in a low (technical) threshold to access and use (and also abuse) it

unfortunately there are quite some hours a day the chat basically IS unmoderated and i see few people that said "wow, that was so nice when the mods were away" but a lot of people that keep on saying "we need more (or better) mods".

i definitely would be happy if mods weren't needed, but looking at unmoderated chat-excerpts i tend to think we either need to raise the threshold to chat at all or should be working to have less unmoderated hours.

no mod around doesn't necessarily mean chat needs to be "unmoderated" - it could be users that tell users to be nice to each other and obey some common-sense rules.
sadly i dont see that happen a lot...

that all being said i definitely like unmoderated forums and chats when they are "working" ;)

about chatrooms with every language allowed:

we tolerated all languages at once in pvp for months (and still do) and what i have seen wasn't very encouraging - although it also was very low volume at most times.

about the enablement of people to create chatrooms:

i think we have/had that experiment already running in the pvp room. if you would allow users to create their own chatrooms you would have hundreds of them. i think this would clutter the community too much without a real need.

definitely find the idea interesting, though ;)

about our "disclaimer":

i am delighted to see that there are people that are actually interested in a discussion without taking everything personally - thanks a lot for that!

and thanks again for tolerating my miserable english :)

EDIT: fixed the quoting by removing it :)

Is there actually Russian chat on Primedice or are you guys fooling around with me?  I remember Micro being very angry at anyone who used anything other than what decided was English.

There is actually a Russian chat room.
At the bottom of the chat tab, there is a "Change Chat Room:" drop down menu, and you can choose from 3 different rooms "English", "PVP" and "Russian".

Yes, there is a Russian chatroom.

I feel it is necessary because people used to speak Russian or Indian in pvp.

I, for one, never understood why it's a problem for people to speak in whatever language they want in whatever chatroom they want.  I understand that Micro (et al) don't agree.  I'm guessing it's because these guys are moderators and they want to feel important.  sealswithclubs chat was never moderated and there was never an issue.  if people spammed or begged you just ignored them.

still, i'm glad to hear that other languages are no longer outlawed.  I'm going to look for that tab next time i sign in.

two reasons why we try to keep the "english" chatroom "english" (apart from the name):

- people go crazy and definitely dislike if people repeatedly don't care if they are understood by the majority of people present
- moderators are ment  to moderate, which is impossible if they can't understand what they have to take care of because of language

there _are_ quite some russian people which try to speak english and are a welcome and precious part of the english speaking part of the community.

unfortunately there are some people who just dont care - some of them even don't seem to care that there is a russian chatroom.

in order to at least try to keep the chat clean and friendly moderators tend to tell them to use english in the english chat-room and russian in the russian chatroom.

it definitely has nothing to do with an urge to feel important.

i for my part would be more than happy if they took the red M away from me since its much more of a burden than a pleasure to be in such a position (and i never asked for it).

imagine a chatroom full of people with everyone speaking in his native language - i don't think it would be a lot of fun to be there...

it could be nice to have a chatroom for every language spoken by pd users, too although it would probably clutter the community and there might be a lack of people willing to moderate for all of those languages.

but all that is just my personal opinion and doesn't necessarily reflect anyone elses Wink

Totally agree.

+1 i agree too
