Wouldn't say that it was horrible match. Opposite, I would say that it was great derby. Fight, drama, something that I wanted to see. It's difficult to expect to see nice football in such games.

It was a very crucial match for both teams, with this result Porto are getting closer to the league title with their current 60 points (6 points difference from Sporting). Sporting still have a chance to catch up with their points from Porto, only 2 other big teams that might be a barrier to Porto, they are Braga and Benfica. FYI, Porto will face Sporting again in Portugal Cup semi-finals.

With current league table and form no other team is going to challenge these big three and these are easily going for Champions League spots as well but giving title to Porto is still not good because we have 12 rounds remaining and gape is just 6 points between top 2 with Benfica is having 10 points gape from leader Porto which is good enough but Sporting can give some challenge if they go through with good form in remaining part of this season.

In today's match Benfica was much better than Santa Clara but in quality and form but still need some hard work for win Uruguay's Nunez late double give them win and three points. Nunez is new soccer star as many big clubs looking for him, hopefully in this summer he is going to have some good intention from European giants.

The match started very well for Porto who played with great intensity and created two scoring opportunities in the first few minutes, but Sporting had a good goalkeeper and with that they balanced the match and gave the counterattack.
I don't know if we can say who played better, the match had ups and downs for both teams, it was an intense game with several events.
Unfortunately, what was supposed to be an electrifying finale turned into something disappointing due to the confusion generated by the players after the final whistle.

Just as I expected, the Porto - Sporting game ended in a draw. However Sporting could have won this game for real. Because they got a 2-0 advantage and this really surprised me. I didn't think that Porto would let them get ahead even for once. But still, Porto got rid of the big shock and balanced the score later. But they should be thankful for one thing especially too that Sporting got a red card. This helped Porto more about reaching their goal. But Sporting still got a point which is good for them.

Porto played dominantly against Sporting yesterday but Sporting still played really smart and they were so close to defeating their opponent in this away game. They got 2-0 ahead in the first half but Porto decreased the goal difference to one before the end of the half which was crucial for them. And in the second half, Coates' being shown a red card made things really worse for Sporting. They needed to keep the advantage till the end but Porto finally scored the equalizer and it finished 2-2. It was not a very satisfying result for both of the teams I think.

This season there are 13 games remaining and it is too early to say who will win the league between Porto or Sporting CP as both still have a good chance of winning it considering the difference is only 6 points.
Tonight's match between Porto against Sporting CP is of course very interesting and for Sporting CP stealing points at home to Porto is something that must be done to continue to maintain the hope of winning this season.

I won't be surprised if Sporting ends up been the Champion of Primeira Liga again. Although, Porto are currently leading on the standings, and are quite far from Sporting. But, the only way they can possibly maintain their present position is to win consistently in their next matches. However, Last season was indeed productive for Sporting, they ended 1st on the table, and also top Porto with 5 points. But, Porto performance this season is extra amazing, they still remain unbeaten despite 21 matches so far.

Agree that Porto looks most considtent, but I still wouldn't write-off Sporting. Tomorrow's game between Porto and Sporting could be decisive. If Porto will win, 9 point lead with 13 rounds remaining, it will be almost impossible to reach them in league like Primeira, where teams outside Top 3 is barely able to fight with leaders. Well, maybe only Braga can sometimes.
But if Sporting will win or game will end draw, everything is still possible. Anyway, my money is on Porto.

Anything is possible, the points gap between Porto and Sporting is very small (6 points) with 13 games remaining. In this week's match Porto will play Sporting, in this match we can see who and who deserves to be champions. If Sporting win, their points behind Porto will be even less (3 points), but if Porto wins, it could be a sign that they will win the Portuguese league title even though at the end of the league Porto will meet Braga and Benfica.

Porto are the only team so far this season that are unbeaten, it's a great achievement for Porto. Even though Porto also have a tough schedule which previously had to play in the UCL and furthermore, Porto still had to play in the UEL against Lazio after playing against Sporting tomorrow. Porto this season have had better management and because of their unbeaten run in the league so far, I personally really believe Porto will be the title winners for this season.
