The only con I can find in gambling is not due to gambling itself but rather to some individuals that get addicted and are not fully in control of what they do or that extend their play beyond what they can really afford to loose and beyond the point in which the fun stops. Other than that, it just fun and excitement and you can even enjoy it with friends or make "a match more interesting" as they say. So nothing wrong with gambling at all, just with people.

That's right, because in gambling everyone is aware of that. But the question is why if you already know the level of defeat is greater than the victory achieved? as gamblers we are more aware of it for alternative entertainment and not following ambition to win. Despite all that, we will still find it difficult to control the condition that most of us want to be ambitious to win and don't care about the value of the relationship in it.

I believe that gambling pros and cons depend upon the outcome of the games which you play. If you are winning most of the gambling games and earning a lot of money, you will find that gambling is a most profitable thing in the world. Otherwise, if you are on the losing side, you will find gambling the first thing in your life.
So basically, luck determines whether gambling is profitable for us or not.

There's a lot of advantages and disadvantages gambling has to offer. This has been talked to several times already here in the forum. It just depends on how a person will permit gambling to influence his life in either a negative or positive manner. Gambling can be a source of income and entertainment for most people. For some people, this is their one way to generate income and is a way for them to bring food to their table. This also serves as entertainment and ease of boredom especially to those people who don't have other outlets to release stress and to have fun. Gambling brings enormous joy to those who are very much used to it. This could also bring job opportunities in a certain place which could result in boosting the tourist rate and eventually the employment rate. Later on, the boosting of the employment rate could then proceed to boost tax revenue by the state because there are more establishments now that are obliged to pay taxes back to the government. This could cause a positive effect on the economy of a country may it be only a little.

However, gambling has its repercussions as well in which could totally negate the good things out offers which is addiction. I think this disadvantage of gambling is one of the major reasons why some countries are still holding back from letting gambling be legal in their area because the citizens' welfare is at risk in this kind of scenario. If the government won't really organize and plan ahead, this could be big trouble. Hence, maybe some just don't have the energy to talk about it yet and give it a chance in their place.

One of the pros of gambling for me is the temporary rush of dopamine one feels when he or she allows himself or herself to engage in the activity as a way to escape the harsh realities of one's life's problem. That brief optimistic feeling that you are going to win just before you lose. The cons, when you on tilt, you either end up in debt, lose your girl/ wife/ family and end up suicidal.

Money is the first thing for those who really inside these activities,

entertainment is just part of it but most of them are aiming to earn a decent amount of money.

Most of the people who keep playing either get into addiction or turned into a pro gambler. The chance is slim though for someone

to be pro gambler as emotion always plays the big role. If you can't control addiction will bring you down, but if you know how to manage

you'll learn the deeper side of this industry and convert it to your advantage.

Cons is that it can bring depression when money has been lost. Another is addiction which can be time consuming and resulting to sleepless night. It can affect health if someone is gambling too much.

Fun is the pros of gambling, if you are bored, you can decide to just gamble with few cents but we should be very mindful of not getting addicted. But as for me, I just like to be among my friends during the weekend to discuss on the football matches and the ones to bet, it brings pleasure. I use low amount of money which is 5% or less of my income.

So the real reason is that money can attract people to do many things, including spending more money to get money in gambling.
They really should change their reason because they will get addicted to gambling and the money, especially if they do not know when to stop playing.
Even though they have the opportunity to earn large money, that will not always work for them as in gambling games. People will have two options: won or lost, but the loss will be bigger when they start the games.
If they can change their reason for having fun, maybe they will have a chance to enjoy the games without trying hard to win for some money.
They only search for the pleasure of playing gambling, which is the real reason for them.

I will not lose my pleasure when I lose because I know how much I can afford to lose in gambling. Those who lose their pleasure when they lose means they do not know what they do in gambling, they do not have their own limit so they lose the pleasure.


Real or not, it is not based on our opinion because it is about preferences. Indeed most people do gambling for money but we can not deny there are some other people who do gambling for fun purpose in their spare time with their spare money where they do not really care what would be the result.

The real reason was that they had the opportunity to earn large sums of money that they would not have been able to obtain by working. Most people I know gamble because they believe they have a chance of winning large sums of money that will make their lives easier. The real reason is money, but you are also entertained, which is extremely addictive. As for myself, I would say that I gamble for money rather than for entertainment, but I believe that the wealthy only want to entertain themselves.

You will lose your pleasure when you lose, yes it is only temporary because gamblers will return to play while still having funds that can be used in gambling, I think the reason to get fun from gambling is not the real reason but the real reason is to earn money, although earning money from gambling is not an easy and common thing.

The pros of gambling is you can earn money in snap, its entertaining and you'll learn not to give up (think of it positively because it can apply not only in gambling). The cons, you can lose your money, become addicted and it can also affect your physical and mental health.

Gambling can cause many bad effects for the gambler. However if you're a type of gambler that has discipline and playing in moderation, then even gambling is addicting it cant affect you negatively. The problem is not the gambling alone, but more on how the gamblers handle themselves when they're playing.

If I were to judge gambling based on what OP has mentioned, I would right away conclude that gambling is bad. Despite its pros and cons, if people are losing their life savings because of it, it must be bad. It would definitely outweigh the fact that others are making money out of it. I’d rather not have gambling and people making money, if the other side of it are people losing life savings which would mean everything to their families.

I am a gambler myself and enjoy it a lot, but if I were to choose whether there is gambling or not, black and white, I’d rather not have it. I have seen how it makes people smile and laugh and have fun but I have also seen how it could make some people crazy and destroy families.

That's why either side is possible, managing our bankroll is important which comes from experience but until that someone has to keep the money alive or else they will go bankrupt. When it comes to casino games the chances of losing money is huge when we compare to wins but we can go with nil profits or loss at the same time even if we manage to win few bets among all the bet which isn't bad at all in my opinion.

But the chances to lose money in gambling is relatively high than making, gambling is very tempting you imagine you can double your money back if you have the right bet, take a look at our favorite dice game, many newbies thought that they can get their money back and win using martingale on one look and looks easy but failed to realized that the string of losses in a row can go up to 15 or higher and busted all your bankroll, if you failed to realized that the house edge always have a chance to win than yours you are n trouble of losing everything, so play moderately and only money that you can afford to lose.

In my opinion the main pro is that gambling industry is big and wealthy, creating jobs opportunities for many people where it is well established, being it land based or just virtual model like the casinos we have being promoted on this forum. Many people here have an income through signature campaigns thanks to the gambling industry, so they can feed their families, make their investments and thrive their financial life, while others have a gambling income promoting casinos at youtube or at their own reviews' websites, earning from general ads or directly from the casinos they promote. Moreover, there are those who work for the gambling platforms on the management, support, marketing or technical sectors to keep the sites working clean and competitive among their competitors.

If we include land based casinos the range of created jobs increases even more, because there are the engineers and architects who project the casinos blueprints and structures, contractors who execute the constructions, casino's employees in general, waiters, security guards, cooks and artists who entertain the customers...

The cons is that if you can't take the responsability for your money and your own acts, you may end going bankrupt, so instead of being benefited by the industry by working on it or just by having fun while respecting your financial limits, you will screw it all. But keep in mind it always depend on you if gambling is going to have a positive or negative effect on your life.

You can make money and you can lose your money that is the both sides of gambling, there are other issues we can name but money is the main factor when it comes to gambling because there are lot other entertainment sectors are there but nothing isn't addictive as gambling.

One of the main upsides of gambling is the entertainment it brings as people get hooked by the feeling you'd get from winning and the uncertainty it brings, no matter how the odds are usually stacked against the gamblers there are still a lot of people that still go and spend money.

As for the downsides, it's already obvious as we know how gambling could be disruptive and addicting, the same can be said for other activities but gambling is one of the worst as you can easily put yourself in a tough position if you lose control.

I think the best advice that newcomers can get is to try to be responsible for their money and not the pros and cons of doing gambling. As a gambler, let's explain to them that we should treasure all our risks money in gambling and don't always have the mindset of only gambling that afford to lose. Even how small it is, it should be won no matter what.

We can also explain to them the difference between luck-based gambling, strategy-based, and sports betting. In that way, they will realize the meaning of the pros and cons of gambling when they play this types of gambling.

It wasnt a job in the first place because gambling is for leisure and theres no other thing that people should be minding or treating it off because this would really be messing up your finances if you do consider it as a

job or income because gambling doesnt work that way.Play on the amount which you could afford to lose, if you are lucky then you would make money but if not then you would lose it out as simple as that.
Gamble for fun and not making a living with it and you'll be fine.
