bitcoin is an alternative investment to investment that is already mainstream, there are many advantages and conveniences of bitcoin, bitcoin technology is easy to understand, so bitcoin is a real future project, of course for the increasingly advanced development of the digital economy, bitcoin is the best choice.

There are no personal questions. It's about how you use Bitcoin, how you view it as a payment method, do you agree and disagree with certain statements and things like that. At the end they ask you about your gender, education and age but you can answer that however you want.

In my perception, I can consider myself to use cashless transaction for payment methods. If it established then we don't need to go outside with cash money. As a payment methods, Bitcoin will be a good choose. Already many marchant is doing it. Even PayPal is accepting Bitcoin. So it is established now and it is suitable for me to use, I think it can be considered for all to use easily.

I have filled your survey.

A big problem for BTC as a payment method is that it doesn't really work for that purpose. It takes too long and the fees are too high.
So bitcoin is not good if adopted as payment transaction or bitcoin only have function for investment? I think you have true because I try sending bitcoin last week when bitcoin have higher price need pay more than $5 for payment fees and waiting more than three hours to receive my payment. Better is not good option for bitcoin as payment currency but could help other if use bitcoin as investment assets for the future because increase value every time. Now bitcoin have any issues will be legal payment transaction and waiting how long confirmation take time.

The protocol can always evolve to make it better so there is hope, it's just not practical as it is currently. Other cryptocoins work better, but most people have only heard about bitcoin, so adopting something else is not easy either.

I agree with others, it's pretty long. I managed to pull through, but next time OP, try to make these a little shorter.
Can you share the results with us? I wonder if people see the realities or are overly bullish/bearish and it clouds their judgement.
Unfortunately Bitcoin isn't a great payment method for buying cheap stuff, but if you're planning to buy a house or a car...
That's how the survey works ...

It's not that long anyways, did you really do the survey hmm?
It's been a long debate about making Bitcoin available and worth it to transact in very low amount of fee. Too bad the solution hasn't arrived yet and the cryptocurrency adoption itself seems taken over by the altcoins that has very low fee. A lot of people interested to use bitcoin to buy stuff but thesedays people sick of the high fee and switch to altcoins, yet the bitcoin price continue to grow now lol

completed the survey hoping that it will help a lil bit to the OP in collecting some info here. not really long, will consume you maybe 10 min tops.
this will give her perspectives from btctalk users. maybe different from the outside users but will give her different views when it comes to crypto. wonder what conclusion she will come up with?

Not your Keys, Not your Bitcoins
Hello!

I am a student of Faculty of Social Sciences. For my diploma thesis I want to find out how you think about Bitcoin as a payment method and in general. Your opinion will importantly contribute to a better understanding of Bitcoin use.

In accordance with the recognized ethical standards of scientific research with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), steps will be taken to protect your personal data in the process of collection and use for educational and scientific research purposes. The survey data collected will be used in anonymized form for research purposes.

Here is link to the survey: https://www.1ka.si/BitcoinSurvey

I won't complete your survey because I don't trust links with unknown domains (at least to me) and I don't know how long it will take.  If it were maximum 2 minutes, maybe I'd complete it, but again you should use a google survey or something with recognisable & trusted domain.

I'll respond to your question here, though. I think Bitcoin is an amazing method to make payments, but NOT YET. Reason? - The price volatility and the long-term appreciation in value makes it extremely enticing to NOT SPEND it and keep it safe. Fiat currencies on the other side is for spending. They don't appreciate in value, therefore it is logical to dispense them first.

As an advice maybe you can make a little "donation" to everyone who completes the survey and provides you with a bitcoin address. If you can afford it, of course.

Good luck for graduation, man!

I just finished the survey and it was decent and you have a good list of questions but some of the questions are a yes or no question(which is not a problem I just thought I should mention it) and I think at the end of the survey where you ask about gender, date birth and education is unnecessary. people would either feel cautious, defensive or would just put incorrect information in it which would make it useless for studies, analysis etc.

So long a survey, above all it quite interesting to answer some salient questions, the fact is that a lot of businesses and organisations will continue to adopt Bitcoin as means of payment in the coming years.
Another point raised in the survey is the difficulties in understanding how to use Bitcoin, internet has made it easier made provision of resources on that topical issues thus its left to any  cryptos enthusiast willing individual to learn and put them to use,
I also agreed to setting up a Bitcoin wallet is faster than that of a bank account that will demand for KYC and related documents.

Every year, more and more people will start accepting crypto and may realize that this is a good payment method. But in my opinion, this is not quite true.

No one would click a random link provided by a newbie also no one would be interested is sharing their personal details to any random person. At least I am not comfortable!

If you have any specific questions, you can post here in your thread and we will answer those but refrain from gathering persona details whatsoever!
That will be difficult as a researcher, first you have to manually collect the data and then I think most surveys online for research are mostly anonymous and does not ask for personal details. I understand the skepticism of clicking the link in an unknown site.
Not actually anonymous but in online surveys, they are mostly making names as optional. But what will probably pull down the credibility of this study is that the sample are totally random. Random sampling still is having qualifications to support the data to be used in the study perhaps students of the same school. And if in this case, users only in this forum but it will be hard to limit the participants in this forum alone since it is a website which is open to all person. Anyone could have access in it. When it comes on users not checking the site, that won't be a problem because being a participant is voluntary.

1 minute later Grin

I took part in your survey and have some feedback.

The survey is really long OP. You should think of making it less time consuming if you want more people to participate. Not many people will want to spend 15 min clicking through a series of very similar questions.

What's the point of asking if bitcoin transactions are cheaper than bank transactions, then again if bitcoin transactions are cheaper than card transactions, and then again if you can send coins cheaper to your friends with bitcoin than with your bank. If bank transfers aren't cheaper than bitcoin, which is true at this moment, sending money to friends and card payments will also be cheaper in the bank. This is all the same thing.

Since everyone is hesitating to click on the link (i wouldn't blame them. The link looks a bit fishy), maybe it would have been better to create a survey using google forums. If that becomes too complicated for you, you can try survey monkey. Easy to use since they provide you with all those templates Smiley.
It's good to see more people are choosing blockchain, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as their field of interest for their thesis research. Would be great if you share your results over here since it would benefit others too.

Hi, I have done joining the survey.
They were long questions and you made the questions so clearly. I really appreciate it.

Well, actually about using Bitcoin as a payment method, so far, I never use it as a means of payment.
As you stated in one of the questions I quoted:

Quote
Bitcoin should be allowed by governments to be a means of payment.

I can't answer this as "agreement" because, in my country, Bitcoin is only legal as a digital asset, but not for payment. And if it is for payment, I think that it is still difficult, but don't know later.

However aside from that, I do believe that other countries may be more open and start accepting BTC as a payment method. many global eCommerce or companies are also on that process probbaly.

Will take the survey too, even it is good as payment option especially transaction can be unknown and can still be safe but we all knew that fees were getting higher as the price increase unlike the mobile banking that sometimes fees were waived like during this pandemic, the only advantage of bitcoin as payment is that we can do transactions without the hassle of letting ourselves known especially if it's a transaction in other countries.

I find this an interesting survey. And I am one of the people who will wait for the announcement of the results of this survey. I myself am very supportive if indeed bitcoin will be a recognized means of payment.

Fine tool for retail payment, I suppose concern about payment securities comes out when it goes to large sums of money. The same as fiat banking actually lol Cheesy

First, I wish you good luck with your thesis, hoping that it will give positive results. I wonder how the topic about bitcoin sink in on your mind for creating a topic and I wonder if you can have Review related literature for your topic because that is unique and there are only a few topics about it based on what I have searched, but anyway based on the survey, I haven't tried yet using bitcoin as a means of payment because in our country there is no establishment that is allowing it for payment.
No one would click a random link provided by a newbie also no one would be interested is sharing their personal details to any random person. At least I am not comfortable!
It's just a survey, lol. well in fact some of the participants can cheat the answers and just click whatever they want to.
