Happy New year 🤗
~snip~

I suggest if you want to get more people to take the survey add some rewards to attract them because most of the people here don't want to waste their time for taking the survey(Just what I think).

If you are going to add some rewards I would suggest you to bring this thread or make a new one in services section
where most people looking for rewards.

Anyway, I already volunteer and answered many questions it almost related to Bitcoin payment but actually there are many big companies accepting Bitcoins like namecheap.

Hello!

Thank you everyone for your feedback and completing the survey so far. I'm a bit suprised of the feedback so far, was kinda worried it would get lost in the sea of other threads.

For those who are concerned about the security of the link:
The survey is made on a Slovenian platform 1ka.si. 1ka is a platform for creating and distributing surveys.
You can find it here https://www.1ka.si/ (slo version) or here https://www.1ka.si/d/en (eng version). Or google "1ka" or "1ka survey".

And I would like to add, that the only personal data that is taken is gender, year of birth and education all of which are optional. The only reason for these demographics is for potential segmentation in the analysis.

edit: The link reference for the distinction between Bitcoin and bitcoin is fixed.

Hopefully I will get enough respondents for some significant results.

P.S. Since I can see that there is genuine interest for the results of the survey, I would gladly post the results after all this is done Smiley

No one would click a random link provided by a newbie also no one would be interested is sharing their personal details to any random person. At least I am not comfortable!

If you have any specific questions, you can post here in your thread and we will answer those but refrain from gathering persona details whatsoever!
What a rude way to approach a student who just wanted to ask some questions for his thesis.
Not everyone here is like you, who's always angry when discussing things on anyone. lol.
Honestly if you don't want to participate on his survey then don't. He is not forcing you.

OP, as you can see some users already participated on the survey, I'll be participating also.
We wish the success of your study Smiley If you happen to finish it, feel free to share it with us here Wink

In my personal experience, merchant payment of bitcoin has decreased and people are losing their interest in paying through bitcoin.
There are several reasons for it, the most important ones being the fees and transaction time, introduction of crypto cards and other stable crypto for payment. People are also more keen on holding and trading bitcoin than to cash them out.

Just completed the survey. Nice work on the compilation.
In my opinion, some of the questions were a bit abstract and answering them by clicking a number in a scale may not pass the actual message it requires, but it's probably the best option, especially when you want to make it as convenient as possible to keep those taking the survey hooked till the end.
Good luck and hope to hear some feedback soon.

Done! Comment: not bad on some of the questions. I can see the direction here, I suppose.

I have a thing for filling out these surveys, always hoping every little helps with them academic studies into Bitcoin. I've only ever, ever received back results and findings from a couple of these bitcointalk threads, though! Hopefully you remember to come back and share with us. You'll learn about better, narrower sampling for future, too I hope. Not exactly good practice to throw a survey like this into the wild;)

There will be mix reactions for this survey because thousands out there don't understand the technology behind this payment method(Bitcoin). Currently, we have seen thousands of merchants whom now accept Bitcoin as a method of payment and for some, they lack the ability to use this technology to make payment. So far, so good, most of my online transactions are been carried out through Bitcoin except those without such payment method in their platforms. It will be nice to see the outcome of this survey.

It will be interesting to see the results of the research, although as someone who has been observing the crypto scene for years, I can say that most of those who own Bitcoin still do not use it as a currency. The first reason is of course that they consider it an investment, then the belief that they actually have nowhere to spend it, and at certain times the cost of fees can be quite unfavorable, especially in micro transactions.

However, there are more and more online stores that accept BTC as a means of payment, and when the Lightning Network becomes more widespread, payment will be cheap and instant, so more people will probably use Bitcoin as a means of payment.

I took part in your survey and have some feedback.

The first part is: When was the first time that you did anything of the following?
One of the options is Other. And we have to click on when we did the other thing. You might want to remove this or add a field where participants can select what "other" is. If it stays like this, you wont know what exactly the participants did.

Your source link for the Bitcoin with a capital "B" vs Bitcoin with a lowercase “b” question is wrong. It opens a non-existing Medium page.

Good luck with your survey and greetings to Slovenia from one of your neighbors!

There are no personal questions. It's about how you use Bitcoin, how you view it as a payment method, do you agree and disagree with certain statements and things like that. At the end they ask you about your gender, education and age but you can answer that however you want.

Hello!

I am a student of Faculty of Social Sciences. For my diploma thesis I want to find out how you think about Bitcoin as a payment method and in general. Your opinion will importantly contribute to a better understanding of Bitcoin use.
