The other day I tried to stream from Popcorn time on my phone and it wanted me to buy a VPN subscription.. I had to wait till I finished downloading the movie which was pretty annoying. Don't get me started about project free tv and watch tv eu and all that other bull shit... So hard to play from the phone.

This is hands down the best streaming experience I've seen on a phone. Those glitches at the end are nothing. Anyone lmk if they want the APK but you gotta do a security audit yourself cause I haven't gotten one done properly so probably best you try it in an emulator.

We are very excited about the speed at which such a development has taken place. The creation of the subtitles function was expected to take at least a week from PV side. PV is a very talented dev and probably is an expert at certain languages etc. however this example proves how intelligence and creativity can be crowdsourced.

Well the analogy is a little different but if that were the case it would be worrisome.

I think this situation is like waiting for a new house to be built where the General contractor runs into snags with subcontractors that left.

He can continually reassure you and fight with other trolls online, or he can just step up and get the work done instead of dealing with the hiring process. That's what PV is doing

If you are a worrier then that's what you are, it's OK but needless. We can hold your hand. At least you admit that you worry needlessly sometimes and that there is no apparent reason to worry here

When my girl takes my credit card and stops answering for two weeks after going out with her friends I would too start worrying friend.

To make a closer analogy, if we had a nasty fight, and she went away for 1.5 weeks and counting without replying to messages ... well, I would be concerned.

In a way, you are kind of right, insofar as reassurance to the community would be less important during most weeks, if we had no particular reason to be worried.  But this is a special time, coming right on the heels of the developer split.

Pure_Vidz experienced substantial unpleasantness: his fellow coder leaving, the tone of the community in this thread seemingly turning hostile (though really just some posters), and even someone trying to reset his password and dox him.  I would hope it would not make him decide to permanently leave this job, but I don't know him personally, making predicting a reaction difficult.  Some people are relatively emotionally sensitive, others not.  My hope remains that there was just a temporary time out and break, before future return.

Certainly one would hope that the financial potential of further development of this project would be a sufficient motive, and I have noticed that he has not seemed to dump his own shares.
